Quoted from Pinkitten:

Feces: The Pinball Game
Actually, with a new Playfield, new cabinet, legs, new wiring, boards, mechs and decals, you’d have a decent project.

Just leave it as it sits,San Francisco the Pin.hobo multiball and shit on the sidewalk wizard mode.

Quoted from KSUWildcatFan:

Lmao, dammit. I said I was looking for a new project once I was finished with my eight ball deluxe..I probably had this one coming.

You came down and took your High Speed home. Karma.

This followed me home. I know, it's not a wedge head, but it's a Gottlieb.

Love this game!

That's a fun layout. Had a Top Score. Should have kept it. One of the last two EM's I let go when I changed over my collection. That is a fun game.

Picked up a Pinball 2000 today.. While its not the most loved game… it was the right price and the technology is still impressive today. The wife is a huge Star Wars fan and will be very happy. And it fits my little spot and gets me another pin in a tight space.

Thanks! It’s signed by the Hulkster. She’s on board with my obsessions as long as we have Star Wars pins in the house.

Be careful, or you will find yourself being called a "flipper" for turning a pin you have not at least put on some new rubbers.

Just picked this Game Plan up. Flaked but Stable BG, poor PF and a great cabinet. MPU major acid damage. Going into storage to wait on replacement MPU currently in the works (hopefully still in works .) Thanks to pinsider DumbRecords for an easy transaction!

The Wing Ding's playfield I have is complete, but fairly worn. However, I have
another populated playfield that's nice, but the main wire harness is cut to threads,
so I'll eventually be swapping things around.
A few years back, a non-pinball Friend had a very nice Wing Ding. I help him get it
going, and a few weeks later I had a chance to buy it for $350.00
Although my space was pretty much full, I should have bought it. Even the cabinet
was really nice..

This was supposedly bought somewhere in the area of 1964/65 and in the house ever since. Definitely a cool game.

After selling my last one 6 years or more ago, I never thought I’d find another one at a reasonable price, but I got extremely lucky with an old neighbor selling his recently. Excited to be back in the zone!

Six hours round trip in 100 degree F temps and it's home - our second machine, first project and proof that we are infected with silver ball poison. A battered and bruised Black Knight LE. The guy we got it from did a lot of work making it play but tapped out when it came to doing the cabinet and playfield. It plays really nice but looks pretty bad.

The plan is to put it next to our Taxi and play the snot out of it while we decide where to go from here.

I guess getting it out of the truck is the first step. More coffee....

(long time lurker, first time poster, hi all!)

Quoted from skywyatt:

After getting everything sorted out electrically and you're happy with the way it's working, your playfield is a perfect candidate for a hardtop. Of course, once you do that, you won't be happy having a nice, new looking playfield in a worn out cabinet so you'll probably take the next step and re-paint it with Pinball Pimp stencils.

Welcome to the hobby! I started with one pin about 3 years ago and I'm now at 8 pins and starting my 4th restore this week.

So I went back to the estate sale, reluctantly, planning on dragging the Mouse Haus edition Odds and Evens pinball back home, only to find out that it sold on the second day... for $90. Yikes. Instead, I spent $450 on 10 totes of action figures (God help me), some misc crap for my kid and myself, and a lane cedar chest. I shoulda stayed home.

There's probably enough value here in flips to buy another pinball machine--certainly a better one than the one I went to go look at!!-- but I think my wife has this windfall earmarked for some concrete patio work in the backyard. Maybe that good deed will allow me to sneak in another pin later... lol

eBay is your friend. I sort of went crazy when my boys were young. They were children when the Star Wars prequels came out (Phantom Menace, etc). I went overboard buying action figures. Those still-carded toys have made their money back and then some (even counting for inflation).

Yep, I'm working on inventory / pics / Mercari listing right now. This is something of a nuisance but is in my typical wheelhouse (video games, action figures) that got me the kind of funds I needed to start collecting pinball machines in 2019. At least they came with totes so all I have to do is list them, put them back in the totes, and wait for them to sell. I can store 10 totes in my basement while they take their time moving out.

I still would have rathered bring home a nice pinball machine, but sometimes that's just not how it goes.

It's been 16 long months since I've been able to post in this group! Meteor project in the house! Great bones here for a restore....everything is there and it starts a game. Looking forward to digging deeper later tonight and starting my to-do list.

nice pickup! Is that glass faded or is it just a bad angle on the photo? Almost looks like a black and white glass.

The one out of Hollister?

Quoted from SilverUnicorn:

Thanx! Ya, the glass is kinda trashed - if I go forward with a full restore, I'll pick up a CPR repro. So far I've confirmed the sound board works and all of the target switches work. The drops are a mix of Bally and Stern and also a mix of tombstone and chicklets, the slings work, and the right flipper works (left flipper is locked on so there's a coil/diode/etc issue happening there). Flipper bats are Data East for some strange reason. Lots of cupped inserts. All original boards, no hacks or corrosion damage that I can tell but I haven't looked at the backs yet. Minor structural damage on the cabinet and on the backbox - ironically, the paint is good but I'll have to re-paint if I fix the wood damage (and I likely will). Spinner is butter. Lots of lights out, control and GI (probably a mix of bad bulbs, corroded connectors, and blown transistors). Plastics are in great shape, as are the legs and levelers. Some paint touch-ups on the playfield, but nothing hideous and no bare wood showing. Has "Pinball Association of America: Approved for tournament play" sticker on the apron. Coin door is VERY nice - no scratches on it or the coin door frame. It has mechs only for one slot despite there being three chutes.
