Quoted from Scoot:

I have been collecting pins for a few years now but never had the space to keep them all in one place. I had pins at work, at friends, and in storage. I just bought a place big enough to accommodate them all. It's like a pinball family reunion.
[quoted image]

That's awesome. Glad things are coming together for you.

Just picked this up at an estate sale today. Great deal and less than 5 minutes away from home.

Nice pickup! Refresh that playfield with a Hardtop! http://www.outsideedgeproducts.com/store/p75/Pinball_Playfield_Hardtop.html

The playfield from those pictures looks amazing.

#20705 2 years ago

Yes, the playfield is in great condition what looks like minimal damage. Should clean up fairly quickly.

Also the back glass is in excellent condition with no peeling/cracking issues.

I love that backglass. In 1979 Bally predicted what the future would look like on the Future Spa backglass...and they nailed it!

Been wanting the Black and white version since I saw one in the flesh. Finally got me one!

The theme is quite amusing & totally 70'/80's. It's a challenging game. I love mine. No cab fade. Which is rare. Enjoy.

Our dad loves the show, so naturally I had to pick it up for him. Love Pat Lawlor’s design on this even though the theme is not for me.

She’s in dire need of attention both in form and function. Story is, this was a tournament games at TPF back in 2008 when it was new, where the seller bought it after the show and had it at his house since. He converted it to LEDs and swapped out some rubbers here and there, but I don’t know that he ever changed the balls.

He told me he cleaned the playfield right before he listed it. I can’t imagine how dirty it was before! Took a heck of lot of conversation time to get the seller to commit to his (previously assumed low, but now clearly appropriate) asking price.

Proof that HUO is a meaningless term that should be eliminated from the hobby’s lexicon!

Anyway, dad likes it (or at least the theme of it) so far and that is as the primary point. Need to fix the centrifuge optos before he can really play it though.

Got this Flash project today. Probably work on the boards and leave the rest for retirement next year. Hope I find a few more projects to keep me busy.

Not a pinball but did score this original Wurlitzer 1015 in outstanding condition. The home owner claims his father purchase the machine in 1974.

Congrats on your CSI! That was my 4th pin I ever bought and I still have mine. Judging by that lab scoop, that game was almost certainly routed and probably has at least a few thousand plays. Mine had some mild wear in the same areas, and it had started out on location and had 2600 or so plays showing, and certainly could have had a lot more. I do think HUO is an important selling point for some collectors, but obviously honesty is key. It’s meaningless if people just make up the history of a pin. Enjoy your pin, and let me know if you ever complete all 3 multiball modes for the 50 million jackpot. I’ve been trying for 3 years with no luck. The best I can do is 2 mb modes. Fun game! Color DMD really helps with the images too.

Not a pinball machine but definitely a machine.
I picked up a 1920s 900lb paper cutter.
Took a full day to disassemble, transport & reassemble.
It cuts through phone books like butter.

Pretty cool, I have owned several of these over the years. I have replaced them all with newer ones now. A phone book is no match for a commercial paper cutter.

You need a printing press from 1890s to go along with that cutter

It will be going on location at the Casino.
When we are allowed to expand to 16 games in July.

Currently only allowed 8 games.

Don’t mean to derail the thread or if this has been mentioned already elsewhere, but the notion of flipper buttons made me realize that the new PHOF building shown in the post above (#20736) looks like a pinball cabinet including units on the roof that resemble pop bumpers on a playfield (and something that may be clearly visible from planes landing at the airport). Someone needs to suggest to Tim to get some large stencils to do it up right (or maybe that’s his secret plan).
