Brought home from a nice seller a nice example of a Roadshow and my first Capcom, a Pinball Magic.

RS is planned to move quickly as I already had a RS once but PM is more interesting to do play testing and explore the technique. It even came with a box full of spares, owner had bought a populated playfield once and removed the parts, put them in a bin and used playfield as decoration.

Back in the day (which was a Wednesday), putting a high score on a game meant LITERALLY putting the score ON the game.

Bob Rose thought he was the shit at 114,240 until M Folkerth put up 118,090. Ron put them both to shame at 120,437, somehow managing to score 7 points.

Ron may have had too much to drink that night.

Picked up two yesterday. 2 different deals, luckily only about 20 miles apart and only about an hour from home.

Funhouse is an awesome classic pin! Great to see another one restored and brought back to greatness. Definitely take Rudy to the shows when you are finished. I’m going to learn how to do high-end restorations at some point and help send a few more CQ pins into the world. Good luck w yours!

Been a busy last couple of weeks, first with the survivor Phantom of the Opera from the NYC area near the tappan Z.... Put a bunch of love into that, but it had great bones and is a beauty now, one of the best ones I’ve seen.
Then went up to Vermont to grab a Haunted House (picture of the cellar should tell the story) but the backglass was eh, so I sprung for an awesome Shay reproduction.
Then landed an ex TNT Black Hole out of CT a few days ago that’s in really nice shape.

The kids have been having some fun with these classics but I’m tired now, lol, I think I’ve worn my knees out from hauling these, I’ve forgotten how heavy they are and I’m not 18 anymore :/

Haha, well, I like Todd at TNT but I disagree with his grounding philosophy and method that he is adamant about on system 80.
You can’t just run a lone extra ground between the driver and cpu, you need to ground each individual board for added protection in case any one of those connectors fail on any of the other boards. With that said, very little needed to be done otherwise.
Once you go through them the right way and take your time with them, a system 80 is a joy to own and play.

Picked up this Xenon last Friday. This was the first machine on my wishlist 8 years ago. Pretty filthy but nice overall condition underneath the dirt, so much so that I won't have to use the CPR pf and plastics I've been storing for three years.

So normally me & my gf take the Matrix to pick up a pin, which can fit the cab and head next to each other. This time we took the Crosstrek, whose rear door is a little smaller and cargo floor has a lip. The cab slid in with minimal difficulty, but then the head was just a little too tall/wide to fit. It was near midnight and we just wanted to get back from Staten Island so girlfriend tells me to let the head ride shotgun and she'll climb in the back with the cab. So that's how she rode the hour and a half home, on her back on the cargo floor, all 6'1" of her, feeling every bump. She's a helluva trooper. Bottom pic is her view all the way home.

I have been collecting pins for a few years now but never had the space to keep them all in one place. I had pins at work, at friends, and in storage. I just bought a place big enough to accommodate them all. It's like a pinball family reunion.
