can't beat $775, great find!
Quoted from ThatOneDude:I picked up this very sad Space Station yesterday. Lots to fix. But, and this is despite a bank of exploded batteries, it boots and sounds great. [quoted image][quoted image]
Same with me! Except I've got very little GI going on.
Quoted from ibuypinballs:Not today but have been looking forward to setting them all up for a photo shoot, the cold wet holiday weekend gave me time to dig them out. The one on left has a killer nice original cabinet.

Not sure it’s fair for someone to have 3 in 2021? . Nice setup Though
Quoted from ringonu:Picked up yesterday.
Owner said it hasn’t worked for 4 years. New batteries and it booted right up and everything works. Clean boards, ok cab and playfield with factory mylar mostly intact. My first non-EM.
This is going to be a player for me and my kids so new rubbers, balls and cleaning and it’ll be ready for action. LEDs eventually. $775 and a quick 90 minute drive was well worth it.

Wow, awesome!
And for $775!! Incredible. If that was listed for sale in Ontario right now they would be asking $3,000+ for it. Prices are D-U-M-B here.

Ain't that the truth! My next vehicle is going to be an SUV, hell with this open truck bed shit.

I have the same plan! I just measured the back end of a Forester and a pin will fit

Do you put the pin on 2x4s to keep the rain from getting to the bottom of the pin?
Quoted from bluespin:Do you put the pin on 2x4s to keep the rain from getting to the bottom of the pin?
No but the bed has ridges and it stayed dry. For as much rain as it SEEMED I went through, my tonneau-turned-tarp seemed to work really well. Probably helps that it was only an hour drive. Glad it's in my garage and out of any further harm's way though.

My wife wanted a mini van and I fought it to the very end. Guess who uses it all the time now.... Can't beat the comfort, gas mileage and capacity to fit up to three pins (Old pic from a pickup last winter)

Man..I just can't do it. A nice SUV would be neat though. lmao
Hard to argue with vans as a pin hauler!

If you really like your pickup truck, and only wanting a SUV to keep pins dry, consider just buying a enclosed trailer to tow.
The only insurance I pay on my trailer is 9 bucks every 6 months in case of theft, and the tag for it costs like 12 bucks a year. (it is a 5x10).
I love trailers, because they save a lot on insurance costs, and maintenance costs.
My trailer has a camping toilet in it, in case I am stuck behind a wreck somewhere for hours, another plus of a enclosed trailer.
I just wanted to give everyone something else to think about. A enclosed trailer may can save you a whole lot of money for more pins.

Technically the Tacoma is my wife's The trailer idea is a decent one although aren't enclosed trailers kinda expensive? She already gave the heart-filled 'NO' on a camper shell
I drive a Camry and taking my 98 F150 for any sort of pin pickup sounds...dreadful with the cost of gas these days. Tbh I kinda hope I'm ready to lay back and relax for a bit. BKSOR makes pin #27 since late January 2019 when I started collecting pins, with the goal of getting basically where I am now. I'm tired, but pleased with the collection.
Quoted from KSUWildcatFan:aren't enclosed trailers kinda expensive?
I just looked at my local craigslist, and there is a 5x8 in good shape for $850.00.
The main savings is not having to pay insurance on another vehicle.
I've long thought about the trailer idea but I'd have no place to store it, unfortunately. Our HOA prohibits trailer storage in driveways and my garage space is filled with vehicles. Thought about renting space at a local storage facility to park it, but aside from the hassle of picking it up and dropping it off each time I want to use it the cost for parking it is $65/month!
So far I'm doing ok with my pick up truck and hard tonneau cover. Most of what I haul around are classic Bally and Williams solid states, and I can fit two cabinets in the back with the cover down, locked, and dry with the heads put in the back of the cab (Crew 4-door). If I'm moving a DMD or later Stern around and don't want to deal taking the head off, it's gotta be a sunny day with the tonneau cover tied/secured in the open position.

Yeah $850 isn't bad. My son is getting this Camry in a few years, so when I said 'next vehicle' I meant whatever it is I buy for myself to replace it. By then the Tacoma will be paid off, might as well stick with Toyota and buy an SUV of some sort But then again, I really kinda hope I'm done buying and selling pins for a bit. I'm maxed on the row (7) and I don't think I could put any of them on the chopping block at the moment, other than for some insane offer I couldn't turn down. Kinda makes for a weird situation where I'm looking at storing them places besides my own home, lol.

Yikes! No HOA here but there's already a lot of crap in my driveway.. Lol
In retrospect I could have easily pulled the head on this bksor (I'm doing it right now anyway). Good to know it's super easy on modern games (or at least on THIS modern game!) should the need to transport ever pop up again in the future. At least the wadded up TonneauTarp (TM) served its purpose yesterday!

That's awesome! I saved this backglass from a junkyard when I was like 12 years old. Never had the chance to play one though! Nice find!

Low production early solid state pin. I’ve never played one but has a really nice layout. Just yesterday you said your collection was locked in. Are you changing your mind...after one day and one new pin?

Looks like a neat game. I'd love to play one sometime. Don't think I want to own one
Nah, I'm still pretty satisfied with what I have / I'm not really looking for anything at the moment. Not that things can't change, but.... I spent all day moving that damn bksor downstairs, in pieces, by myself (and shoving into a corner the shuttle that's supposed to be sold already)... I'm tired. Even more so than yesterday!

Stern builds them in sequence with serial number. I figured it out compared to my serial number on my LE.
Finally!
I've had a thing for this game for quite a few years. It will need a full tear down, but it will be worth it. It's the Pro, which is why it took so long to finally get one. I could have had an LE many times, but I just don't like it. The Pro is the only correct answer for this game.
Quoted from weaverj:Stern POTC is underrated, imo. nice pickup; you'll like it.
I agree. I know a few people who don’t care for it but personally this would be a keeper for my collection.

I really miss mine that I sold a few years ago.

They made less pro’s and it’s a hard one to track down. Back when this game was new, it was only $800 more to get an LE and, it seems most pro’s were put on location and played a lot.
Quoted from ToucanF16:Two new arrivals. GNR and RnM. I’ll get to play with them when I return from overseas in a year or two.

Wow, that's a long wait ! Will they stay in the box the whole time ? Sorry for being nosy.
