Pretty much what Colson told my wife who laughed.
Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:The story is that Capcom had a bunch of European distributors from Austria and Germany that day and they lost their minds when they saw Flipper Football, so Capcom thought it was gonna be HUGE! They forgot that “football” isn’t popular here in America
Cool looking game. Unique for sure and rare. Agreed on the jumbo DMD and great images. I just watched a gameplay video and it’s quite elaborate what they did with it.
Oddly enough, there is one of these games being advertised locally here in Ontario. It’s listed as being offered as a trade or an outright sale for the right offer. There’s no mention of price or value. Can you give me an idea what one of these should go for right now? Assume it’s in good condition and perhaps that the DMD is working correctly. That large and unusual sized DMD I would imagine is a pricey thing to replace if it is t working correctly. Thanks.

Boring gameplay(it's not a pinball) for a solo player. A bit like fooseball and dome hockey. Fun party game, dust collector otherwise. I know someone in Ontario who got one 6-7 months ago for less than 2k$CAD. These games are often parted out because the boards are worth more than the game. Same boardset as Big Bang Bar.
Things to look for:
DMD is unobtanium and has to be perfect.
Long distance optos at goal are often flaky and don't work correctly (detecting goals when they shouldn't).
Drop targets break all the time and are often replaced with wrong targets.
I had an order of Vewlix clones show up this week along with a Sound Voltex. I've wanted an SDVX for a couple of years now,it's awesome to finally have one! Only one of the Vewlix clones is for me, the rest were bought for friends.

Wow, that’s awesome. I traded a NOB MET for mine back in 2018 with a guy in Texas. Then he moved to Chicago and later sold the MET back to me too. Those were the days!
Quoted from Briks-707:Swooped on this beaut yesterday, love these 90’s Williams/Bally pins!

Score! White Water is a classic! Can you post more pics on the WH2O thread? Congrats. I added one earlier this year and can’t stop playing it. Complete that vacation planner!

Interesting wall you have there.

I think it is in half the basements in the houses in South Windsor. Probably a 60’s thing. Most have dark wood surrounding it. My Grandmother had it in her house!

Your Jurassic park looks lonely. Come to Pinfest in July, play 250-300 pins on free play, meet some pinheads, eat at the Farmers Market, and most importantly...pick up your second pin.

I like it, we finished out a room in my old house and the drywall guys flaked out on us and did a crap job. We ended up buying a bucket of mud and doing this to the room. Ended up looking great once painted.

Under 1500 USD is a good price. There are TONS of spare super-sized high-def DMD spares for this game laying around. They seem unobtainium but they aren’t. Just requires some hard work to wrangle one. I LOVE the gameplay. It’s way better with friends, but if you challenge yourself it’s a lot of fun. It probably could use a code update so it has traditional scoring to improve home-use but I love novelty games like this. It is most certainly pinball, nay-sayers have not played it seriously. They probably put one game on it and dismiss it.

Many were parted out to make BBBs and get more money. They were hated games. DMD is not unobtainium, that’s nonsense as stated above. Capcom had stock out the wazoo when they closed up shop!
I appreciate the opto advice, I started having that issue after an adjustment for the arcade. Drop targets are original and really don’t break often. Dial down the flipper strength if you’re breaking them.

I can't stand soccer but I think it looks like a blast. Kinda like the wizard mode to one of my favorite games of all time (ironic, again, because I don't like soccer): World Cup Soccer!
No idea how it would hold up from a replayability standpoint but I think it looks fun for a bit anyway. They definitely used the HELL outta that gigantic screen and it looks great.

To me this Flipper football screams having the crew over and playing type of game.

I can definitely see how it might be more enjoyable with a group. I feel that way about space shuttle, which I almost HATE solo but think is a blast with a group.
I also posted this in the NE for sale thread, but thought I would post it here too so I could put up a few pics.
Anybody want this Disco Fever I picked up last weekend? I paid $350, and I grabbed it to maybe pull a few parts I needed for another game. I expected it to be a basket case.
But this thing may be HUO, it’s in great shape. Cab is excellent. BG does have some flaking, and PF has some minor swirls. But neither horrible by any stretch. Not a game I would want to take things out of though...so I could use the slot back.
I already cleaned and polished the legs, adjusted some switches and got the sound working. Displays are a little wonky at times, but it is fully working. Figured I’d offer it out instead of storing it.
I’ll pass it on for the same price, $350 to someone else if they want it.

I picked up my second FF last summer (had my first one from 2006 to 2012) and I can guarantee you that if you have some friends over, it will be THE highlight of the night. For solo playing in these COVID times: it practices your reflexes, but that's about it... pretty much ho-hum.
Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:Drop targets are original and really don’t break often. Dial down the flipper strength if you’re breaking them.
Don't want to burst your bubble, but the goal targets WILL break, regardless of the flipper strength... most of the type, it's the "slow" ball hits that get'er done. Speaking of which, need to find some targets... I'm out of spares...
Kick the F***** ball!!!

There are lots of games that just aren't all that fun for me without company. But I'm also not very good at pinball so there's that.
Tried to get one of these a few times but it never worked out.Playfield is in great condition. pic is before cleaning and rerubbering.Needed a new cpu due to alkaline damage. Close to %100 now. And a NOS Wizard back glass.
