Enough Stern talk. I’m going to switch it up to Gottlieb.

Oooohhhh, nice!

Quoted from Cheddar:

I've bought used pins with bent shooter rods. Nothing that wasn't fixed by turning the rod the other way and lifting the machine with it.

Isn't that why they put trigger handles on some pins ... to make it easy to lift them??

Annnddd.... White water trek!
I have no idea why someone out this speaker panel on this game!
I also have some entire switch assemblies missing but I'm so happy to have wh20 back and it's in nice shape so once I source the ramp switches it should clean up nice!

Quoted from steamfitter:

It was this or a catacomb
I like the game play , artwork , sound and speech .
I'm cleaning it now and will change coil sleeves , clean and readjust switches . Replace any part that needs it .
There's no 2 lightning that play the same . It depends on the owner , does he just get it working or does he tweak it like you would a 1/4 dragster .
It's a good thing we don't all have the same taste in pinball . [quoted image]

You should snag the catacomb. Super tough to find.

Go pick Colson. Gottlieb 80 pins aren’t grounded, just like you...

I agree. There is something for everybody and your Lightning has a beautiful play field. But you should consider getting that Catacomb.

Definitely. And I think I’ve owned each game 4 times in the past, but never at the same time to have them side-by-side.

Wanted to add a bit of a variety. Grabbed Gottlieb Strikes N Spares at the start of the week and now a Bingo Vacation.

Always wanted a Bingo machine but the EM aspect of it wasn’t for me. Luckily there was a modern one made. LCD display.

Very nice my friend!

I had these babies 35 years ago side by side in my bedroom! That ended when the love of my life moved in...

“Who knows what awesomeness lurks in my basement again” Very pleased this is back in the lineup. Second go around for me with this title and it’s soooo worth it. Thanks GorillaBiscuits for parting with it so my wife can have her favorite pin back. ; )

I picked up this nice Sure Shot today. This machine is older than I am and is cleaner as well! Look at the inside of this coin door! Does have some dings and a small amount of wear but is super nice. Needs a little work to be running 100% but then it will be super fun,

This wasn't in the plans today. Free Atari Middle Earth. Saved it from its 15-year slumber in a garage.
Nothing works but the back GI and displays read all 8's. Time to read up on Atari's.

That haunted house looks incredible! It was the first machine I ever played. My uncle had it and I spent many happy hours on it. Hope to own one too someday!

New here. This is the machine I brought home today. Seems super clean but needs some TLC to get it to start up. My first Pin, so we will see where this takes me in the future.

Welcome to the ownership club! Hope you have lots of room....1 pin will become 2, 3, and more very quickly. They tend to multiply like rabbits!

Congrats. With the machine off, remove and reseat the connectors for the display. Might simply solve that discombobulated display issue.

I don't know about Gottlieb's, but with my Robocop it is possible to plug the cable in backwards since it is not keyed. Really messes with the display. Of course, I just read about that somewhere. It has never happened to me.

#20300 2 years ago

Thanks guys. I started a post about the progress on getting it running. Feel free to stop in and help me out. I’ll be starting on the troubleshooting soon.

Seems like an awesomely quirky game. Can’t wait to play it.
