Quoted from DCRand:I usually end up on pick up drives alone. But my wonderful wife agreed to join me on this hour each way pick up of this fantastic em. Any guesses which game?

It’s great when our wives or husbands join the long, dry pinball journeys we make. It’s much more fun when it’s a road trip. She has a nice smile!
Quoted from sunnRAT:I lucked out with this one.

Super jealous. Looks great!

Yes it is, and yes she does. And she has her first pinball machine. Bride of Pinbpot. Bride's laugh is an exact electronic version of my wife's. And it is the only game she likes to play. So let her choose colors of all the LED's on the playfield and in the back box.

I'm not big on colored GI in general but it seems more appropriate to do up top than down low (at least that seems to be the consensus I've found). Personally I get irritated when I can't see the ball, like..the entire time I'm playing. I like putting splashes of purple into games wherever I think I can get away with it so I can definitely appreciate the posts, flipper rubbers, etc!
Nice-looking machine; congrats on the pickup!

Beautiful playfield
Brought home another pre-war, pre-flipper beauty. 1934 Gottlieb Push-Over.

After owning a Quicksilver 10 years ago and ultimately selling it due to circumstances out of my control, I was finally able to re-acquire my favorite pinball ever. Having to sell the first one has been one of my biggest regrets and has been eating at me for the past decade. I picked up this restored/rebuilt QS this past weekend and have been on cloud 9 since. I'm not a collector, just a huge pinball fan who fell in love with this game as an 11 year old when I played it for the first time in my mall arcade 41 years ago. I only own this one machine and feel very fortunate to have been given a second chance at getting one. This one will be sticking around.20210410_233021 (resized).jpg20210410_233010 (resized).jpg20210410_232933 (resized).jpg20210410_221057 (resized).jpg20210410_220952 (resized).jpg20210410_220920 (resized).jpg20210410_220904 (resized).jpg

Quoted from MiamiRedSkin:Let's start a thread where we can post our most recent pick-ups! I love hearing stories of machines and deals people made and found, so let's post all of the pictures here. I'll start! It is still sitting in my car!

Yeah, but once you get a life size Boba Fett, it’s all down hill from there.
I’m thinking if I’m going to pay a ton of money for a life size realistic looking doll, it’s not going to be Boba Fett.

That pin was most likely shipped NIB to an Aladdin's Castle location. I remember when every game they'd put on the floor had those token stickers plastered all over the coin doors.

Ooooouuwww is that an AMC Gremlin? My dad drove a blue one for years in the 70s. I must admit I kinda like it.

I did around trip from Dallas to New Orleans in 1972. The car rode nice on the highway but the owner kept bitching about how this was coming unscrewed or that this thing was always rattling. He had the attitude of "I am stuck with this car but I am going to have to drive the miles out of it to get my money back"
I always like their looks.

was wondering the same
chad woody76 crap it looks like my avatar was lost during the outage. Some people had this impacted. My cookies make it look like it's okay but it's really not. I thought it was just an issue on my phone.
I think I still have my Tropic Isle monkey around here somewhere....
EDIT: I think it's fixed can someone confirm please?

Sweet.
Amplifone monitor to boot.
You should see about getting the vector labs kit for it (if it doest already have it).
Then you can also play Empire Strikes Back on the original hardware.

Nice. That thing looks practically brand new. Restored or original?
Quoted from joetechbob:Nice. That thing looks practically brand new. Restored or original?
I didn’t oversee the restoration but I believe most is original. A lot of the control panel parts were rebuilt, some new decals. The cabinet decals are original and in the right light you can see some flaws. The monitor and boards are all original. It was a very low use game over the years which helps.
Quoted from Monkeyman66:Just had my JP premium dropped off. Nice way to start off the day...
