Abra Ca Dabra delivered and is now in the line up. The seller did not state that the machine had been modified from a replay machine to an add a ball machine. Cab and playfield are in great shape, but not very happy about the mod. The instructions state add a ball and were added with a typewriter, so it was likely converted quite a while ago. I may try to figure out what was modified and change it back, but will give it some time and see if the add a ball grows on me.
The 1000 pops very rarely come on and I haven't been able to figure out what is triggering them. Hopefully cleaning the I relay will do the trick and it isn't something related to the mod.

My thinking is that for a home machine where winning credits is secondary, being able to add balls and pump the scores would be the most satisfying.

I almost called on that one but trying to refrain so I can make progress on Flash Gordon again.
If this weekend goes well, cabinet should be in primer.

Ha ha. The seller said there were a couple other people interested but when I called, he had no clue that someone would want to come from Ohio to get it and put a deposit down to hold it.
I told him he has no idea what us pinheads will do to get a game.
When you get that ass kicking flash Gordon finished, you need to put this soundboard in it.

I'm aware of it, more interested in running the MPU with a nano and updated code.

One of these was my first pin. Would like to have one again someday.
Picked up this oddball today. Should clean up okay. Has cabinet damage in a few spots on one side. There is light rust throughout the apron which should come off easy. There is some rust around the instruction card holders I’m concerned about. I need to figure out the best way to get it off since it’s in a weird place and I don’t want to damage the metal around them. Suggestions welcome.

Yes, Rob has nice stuff. Not a title I'm looking for.
Its all good, working on prying one from Colson as his daughter likes Batman Forever better.

First pic was from his house. I think I’ll have to put it to the right of my Kings and Queens too so it feels at home.

Not mine but helped a friend with a pickup of one of his holy grails. A WOZ standard with only 550 plays on it. Build 2014, un buffered 7.5 light boards. Great shape.
Less than 5 miles drive, that’s a first so close by

That was my very first pin, a WOZ standard with shaker and invisiglass. I remember watching it being set up, because I didn’t know how to do it. He turned it on, set it to free play for me, and showed me where the buttons for settings were. I remember hoping I never needed to remove the glass to fix anything. Congrats to your friend on an amazing game!

Quoted from KSUWildcatFan:I'm sad to see it go but I had to make up the difference somehow in order to make bksor a reality. I intend to buy another CJ someday but I want a cherry one next time.
I have no idea how I'll feel about bksor when it's here as I've never even played the game but I miss my bk2k a ton (sold that to buy WCS, which I'm totally okay with as that's a forever keeper for me). I'm hoping I love that one when it's here but if not, I'll have a huge chip to use for something else. I'm tired. Lol
Did you get the pro or premium? Imo, the pro is by far the greatest, that small upper playfield only makes it slow.
Quoted from mtn-:Did you get the pro or premium? Imo, the pro is by far the greatest, that small upper playfield only makes it slow.
It’s a premium. I know people are firmly in one camp or the other but I just can’t see playing a BK themed game WITHOUT some kind of upper playfield, even if it isn’t as well done as maybe it should be. JMO of course and I haven’t played either one.

That Dude looks happy.
Had a bit of an adventure yesterday with my most recent pickup. Decided it was time to finally drag it downstairs, but didn’t want to have to bother anyone to help. So... complete disassembly. I was both able to take it down these awful stairs solo *and* get it hooked back up correctly, so that’s good. Can’t believe just how much had to be unplugged in order to do this, though. Yeesh.

I had to swap playfields on a MET pro one time. The connections on that thing are unreal.
Quoted from RonSS:I definitely would have bothered someone. Or rented a mover.
Good on you though!
Ha. Usually I do, and I think 3 people can comfortably bring one of these down intact, but on the heels of having my wife help drag Cactus Jack's (just the body with the playfield -- I separated the head and took it separately) upstairs without a dolly (bad idea) on Thursday I didn't want to have to ask for *any* help this time. I figured I could suffer through hooking it all back up, at least then the onus was on me and not on anyone else.
Quoted from woody76:I had to swap playfields on a MET pro one time. The connections on that thing are unreal.
Right? I unplugged everything -- and I mean EVERYTHING -- as required in order to remove the head and then figured it would be easy to just pull the loom out and remove the playfield (heavy AF, at least compared to any I'd pulled prior!)....nope! Had to pull another 10 or so connections, including the damn interlock connectors. I don't think everything I had to disconnect actually ties in with the playfield (although maybe it does? I have no idea, I just know it hasn't been like that on Williams/Bally games I've taken apart), but it's certainly ziptied to the loom that has to go with the playfield when it comes out. Sheesh.
I'm not sure how I want to tackle BKSOR when it gets here. Thinking I don't want to disassemble it at all, though, so I'll probably just make sure I have enough help to drag it downstairs intact (Tron made it down intact with no issue). Not digging the way Stern sets things up with regard to separating components, lol.

BSD is one of my favorite games of all time. Friends and family all think I’m nuts, but it’s one of the games I’ve owned the longest and really never see myself selling it. Pin sound makes a huge difference if you’re into that sort of thing.

BK will just have those minimal, tiny boards. I'd think that would be easy compared to MET.
Quoted from yzfguy:BK will just have those minimal, tiny boards. I'd think that would be easy compared to MET.
If so, I might just take it apart too. It definitely makes the moving process suck less.
Quoted from KSUWildcatFan:If so, I might just take it apart too. It definitely makes the moving process suck less.
BK, like Munsters, is a Spike 2 system. The backbox is easy to remove. 2 or 3 RJ-45 type connectors, unbolt the back box pivot hinges, and remove the two anchor bolts and the back box is off. I can't imagine the play field would be any more difficult to remove.
