It is less than T-minus 8 hours until I embark on a 1,700 mile, 28 hour road trip, traveling to 5 states and making 8 stops. Picking up a lot of cool goodies.
This was a pin-less trip until I found a nice addition. Follow along for road updates. This trip will make Colsond3 and ZNET proud.
Here are some tunes for the journey.
Quoted from EJS:Never played one before I heard it’s underrated.

Wow nice! One of the only machines I have left on my buy list.
I'll try to pass the time with this

The GOAT! That backglass looks flawless.
My first Facebook pickup. Grand Prix! Only had to go 20 minutes. Needs a good cleaning but the playfield and glass all seem to be in good shape.
Only problem is you can play 1 player mode fine, but 2 - 4 player modes all act like 4 player mode. Trying to figure that one out.

Quoted from JethroP:Wanted one of these for a long time. Finally got one! Back box and cabinet wiring is pristine!! Hard to believe it's 54 years old.

I've only played virtually but love the bell! Congrats. Don't see them very often/ever.
Quoted from chuckwurt:The GOAT! That backglass looks flawless.
Take another look. I'll probably be in the market for a replacement for it or try to touch it up.
The good news is the playfield has just a little insert wear in the center otherwise perfect.

Weird. I guess I just can’t see it since it’s not lit up.

I’m not the best with animal anatomy but the right side of his face is kinda messed up. Here’s a closer look.

Good to know. I'm hoping maybe a dim color LED will do the trick in that area.
I honestly know nothing about this game hopefully it will turn out nice. There are a few other hacks around the power supply so will need to address that before first powering it on. Cosmetically the rest of the game should be solid.

Some light touch up and red leds behind the reds go a long way to mellowing out the flaws.
My wife would be dying for that municipal Christmas lantern. We have a couple pieces. She loves that stuff.

I am actually picking up another blow mold in Chicago. I’ll post a picture of that later today.
OK, Indiana has been good to this humble young man from Ohio. Sometimes when you go fishing, you land a whale.
I’ve given you clues in my last posts so I will let you think about it for another couple hours and then I’ll show you some pictures. I am such a tease.

I really like EM machines that have any kind of animation in the back glass.
Really cool pick up, congrats.
Fathom?

I'll give it a guess..... a Bally Cross Country?

you are in for a treat. lets see that playfield
No, it’s not Fathom. No it’s not Cross Country although I would like it to be.
I guess I’ll spill the beans. I gave you the clues DOUBLE Vision and UPtown Girl.
Number 4 out of 55, Bally Double Up from May 1971. This one is SUPER clean, cabinet is bright, only slight wear at the 2 kick outs and a flawless backglass. It showed up on Facebook marketplace early Sunday morning and was a perfect fit for this marathon road trip that I’m currently on. Playfield is covered with shuffle alley wax but I did not see any planking. Super stoked to find this rare bird. Gems are still out there in the wild and you just have to be in the right place at the right time.

I have a glass bottom scanner and a BG Resto repro BG back glass. I could scan those whiskers and make you reverse image water slide decal that might hide your problem areas.
If you are interested, send me a PM with your address and I will mail you the decal. But no promises that it will work.
Big Game is a great pin. Once you understand how the bingo cards work it is a blast to play. but actually, it is a blast to play even if you don't know everything works.
Quoted from woody76:you are in for a treat. lets see that playfield
I’ll try to post tonight once I get the pedestal unloaded with some help tonight. It’s still in the truck.
I was neutral about this game for awhile but now you all have me excited about it. Meanwhile I have 4 games with semi populated playfields I need to finish up.

That’d be awesome I’ll PM you when I get home thank you! Do you have a semi trans material? My local friend is good with files and printing to all sorts of materials so we may find the file you scan just as valuable as a decal. It’s worth a shot for both I’d say.

Wow, never seen one of those before. It would be awesome if you could bring it to a future Pincinnati show for others to play. Ted Zale was an awesome pinball designer.

Here you go! The score cards or whatever is the worst of it. Flawless up top.

Good thing you don't have a Road Show. Not sure how you'd keep Red and Ted 6 feet apart.

Well, it is only a head. So by the Rule of 8’s for anatomy surface area in emergency medicine, he should only have to quarantine for two days anyway, not 10.

I do not understand what you are asking.

Your play field is in very nice condition. All of the detail work is still there. It is a very restorable play field.
You should consider getting a play field protector for it. Thrillhouse makes several protectors and Big Game is one of them.

It is nice to see that Rudy is wearing his mask correctly
Quoted from cottonm4:I do not understand what you are asking.
A material that is somewhat transparent to let light through like translight material. I’m thinking that would drop in well from a lighting perspective.

Lol, like most people, not wearing the mask as intended, may as well not wear one at all!
On a serious note, great pin, I’d like to have another one someday!
Quoted from EJS:A material that is somewhat transparent to let light through like translight material. I’m thinking that would drop in well from a lighting perspective.
What I have is clear waterslide decal paper that I have been using to make plastics with. I make my scan and run it through my ink jet printer. After I place the decal, I get some of my white waterslide decal paper and place that over the back of the other decal. The white decal material lets the light through. It is not the best way to make fix but it is one step better than nothing.
I'll see if I can make the scan in a couple of days.

No keys? . I kinda miss mine, traded it away like a dummy.

Nice. That’s a hard game to find these days!
