Elvira and the Party Monsters...
I officially have too many pins. Have to move some to my office or sell. Or buy the wife a bigger house. Pinball is addicting!

That the one from Cali that was listed the other day? I was really eyeballing that one. Congrats...ultra sweet looking game!

Yes thank you, very clean. New playfield and powdered coated paint everywhere. The gentlemen even delivered it 4+ hours away. We are very happy with it.

Picked up a Grand Lizard today. I’m just getting into more serious collecting, and this will fill out a “fantasy” wall of pins I want to put together.

Big thanks to NightMutilator for the easy sale and pro-tips on moving pinballs. I now know about an escalera so I might need to budget for one of those as I build my collection.

Quoted from cottonm4:

I don't entertain much at all. But I have made some pin friends and have them over. No one cares about anything other than playing the pins. Now, if you a married you have read too fat already

The only entertaining I do involves people who really like pinball, so having wedgeheads between the living room TV isn't much of a problem.

I did consider moving into the guest room to allow pins in the master bedroom (I think 12 would fit) but I got lazy this spring and never installed a ceiling fan in there. Kind of need one when it's really warm out.

The dining room I've considered adding 4 but it's hardwood floors and close to a room that gets a lot of sun so I'm worried about UV light

Quoted from gdonovan:

The big difference is getting back to the upper lanes, almost impossible in Checkpoint as anything zinged into the spinner lane will pass the lane entrance and land in the VUK 85% of the time and back to the left flipper you go.

Just a follow up on this: not totally correct after putting some time in. If you make it past the lanes, it actually spots you a letter.

Also a drop target switch was bad, getting all the drops down spots you an rpm increase as does getting all three upper lanes lit.

Definitely. Guy I traded it to put Pinsound in it while he had it, so I’m still adjusting to that. It’s not bad and has some cool additions and callouts, but I may throw the original board back in.

The original multiball music is awesome. I shot a quick vid on the other Frank I had in between.

Took a trip to Indiana to check out a Whitewater but the condition was not what I was hoping for. As I sat dejected in the driveway, I decided to call a guy who I was going back and forth with on a Road Show and told him I was in the area (2 hours away). The evening ended on a happy note as a few days later, Red and Ted have bulldozed their way into my lineup.
The moral of the story - I still need to find a Whitewater within a few hours of Chicago!

Not as much as I would like. Haha.

I got a call last night that an elderly guy was moving, wanted to sell the game for a decent price, but needed help either way getting it out of his basement up 14 steps. He couldn’t do it, and the game isn’t currently resetting. So I wanted to help out.

Pretty much out of space at this point, so I might just pass it on (and for the same price I picked it up for, because I’m not a flipper)

I had one years ago but never got it up and running. Little did I know what a fun layout it is. Since then I picked up Hi-Deal (essentially the single player version). Normally I play the crap out of them for a year or less, get bored and moved them along. Hi-Deal has earned a permanent spot in my small collection. Hang Glider may even be better with the drop target bank.

Funny...I thought the same thing. I wasn't sure I was interested when I got the call, but knew it was essentially the same layout as Hi Deal, and that game is pretty popular and fun. I played the hell out of a Hi Deal at Pinfest a few years ago that was fine-tuned.

PF has some odd wear/planking in front of the drop bank, but overall the game is in pretty good shape. Have to see what's going on mechanically. Looks fun though.

Found one of those once and it turned out to be a great game. Playfield was great and action was smooth for its age. There was some flaking on the BG, but other than that I hated to see it go. Friend got it for her husband's birthday, couldn't say no ;-(

Traded back for my Flintstones the other day from a past client. Sold him this Flintstones about 3 years ago and he played the hell out of it. (It's very dirty) Traded a Dirty Harry plus some cash on his side. Excited to have this one back as I didn't really want to sell it. Will be doing a complete restoration and cartoon conversion on it down the road. When I sold it, I had already acquired most of the conversion necessary for the cartoon change. Will post a new thread when I get going, so keep tuned in!
