Astro is a one-game wonder. The story is that they started in 1979 selling games directly to operators, guaranteeing them a location for every machine. Basically, a side-hustle opportunity for budding entrepreneurs. They claimed that their games were maintenance-free (they were not) and they guaranteed that the buyer would make their money back or get a full refund on the game.
They folded less than a year later. International Concepts tried a similar business model 10 years later and managed to get two games out.

He’s probably just going to use the Vegas to be able to swap in the hoops if he wants to play it. Should be pretty easy if you have both games’ roms.

I’ve had my RR since April and finally I’m starting to understand the game .It’s my first pin ever purchased I just got into the hobby weeks prior to that when I was finishing my basement and surfed YouTube for “basement entertainment “ up came the Willy Wonka pin trailer which led me searching around then I saw The OZ trailer ! The next day I was consumed I got the stern pinball app on my phone and started playing GB non stop any chance I could get lmao !My first was going to be between these 2 and I had a shot at GB that just came in at a local distributor that I had been bothering the shit out of .Anyway I was a day late pulling the trigger on that when I seen the EHOH trailer .Now I was on a mission this was it .I found a guy had a LE for sale (early code 8200 I think what a deal that would’ve been ) but when I made the second call it was gone and I made the deal and took a trip for WOZRR.That’s my beginning bought a IMDN prem then a Family guy for my oldest presently looking for a DP prem for my youngest and a GnR LE coming in spring I hope .I’m buying these basically working a 2nd job for them .Welcome to Pinbsll I guess Lmfao !!

Yup. Welcome to Pinball Addiction 1.0. I was never really into pinball as a kid, but I’m an Indiana Jones nut. Back in 2003 I was outfitting my new house and thought an Indy pin would be cool. I remember the guy I bought it from telling me pins have a habit of multiplying and I didn’t believe him. But the game was so much damn fun, and the manufacturers kept making games with themes I loved. So....all these years later, I have 9 pins with a GNR LE on order and my 1280 square foot townhouse is FULL!

The Tron has been my grail since I entered the game. By far the nicest and most ridiculously priced game in my collection.
The JP spent only one year on location and has the scoops to prove it.
X-Men is criminally underrated. Wasn’t on my must have list, but after spending some time with it my mind was changed.
Sadly, on the same day I picked up Tron, I sold my very first pin: Back to the Future. This game was in stellar shape and fully working. I needed the space for the future (pun intended) and my friend has wanted the game for a long time. It was time to let it go. We also struck the deal at 1am and moved it out of my basement right after... this was after moving in Tron and bullshitting for a few hours. In the running for latest sale of 2020?
I hope you enjoyed my little story, as this will be my last acquisition post for a while since I blew my toy budget for a long, long time.

Congrats on your new pins. Tron is a fav of mine and both X-Men and DE JP are solid games. I had a nib Magneto about 2 years ago and let it go too fast. I had a DE JP and really enjoyed it! Great modes and call outs. Trex is an awesome toy! That game is fun to add mods to. Ian, Freeze!!!

Thanks! Love the art package on Magneto, might be a top 5 backglass. And yes, spent the last month installing mods on JP that I’ve been acquiring for years. This is where I’m at currently. Plan on painting the metal at some point next year to match the caution theme and getting a color DMD and PinSound. I want to feel like I’m in the movie.

I’ve been looking for a GB Premium forever so when the opportunity came to trade Tron for it I had to pull the trigger. Believe me it was a tuff decision but I gotta say GB is freaking awesome!! I can actually get my Tron back if I want it. Contemplating it. Shadow was getting a little old for me and Ive always wanted to get a JJ pin. Love the WOZ theme. The game is super fun to play. I didn’t think I would like it as much as I do so pretty happy with both decisions.

Funny coincidence, I’ve had something like 65-70 pins over the years, but WOZ was my first ever, and GB was my second.
