I picked mine up in a package deal. Didn't expect anything out of it, but it's a damn fun game for such a silly theme. Unfortunately, it may be on the chopping block just for lack of space.

It was about 97 or so when I was in college. My wife and I were bowling at the student union, and she decided to go into the arcade room and play a pinball game. It was Scared Stiff. I was instantly hooked.
The one on the right is Scared Stiff. Took a couple of decades, but it's mine! Along with a BSD.

I know I am in a minority here, but I would keep the Baywatch and SS. BSD, no matter how many times I try to like it just does not resonate with me.

BSD is well put together between the art and playfield layout, and even better with Pinsound upgrade.

Full disclosure -- I bought this machine several months ago but today I moved it from the workshop and truly brought it home. Only reason I was moved to post was due to the hauling method. . . rather than load it up in the car and haul it several miles over the road I utilized the Kubota and cut across the back 40.
First pin ever hauled in a RTV900? Maybe. First pin ever hauled in a RTV900 and across a covered bridge? Probably.

Man, TractorDoc. There's so many things that stand out about your post.
When my wife of 20+ years and I bought our first house, we were walking our dog down a old trail by the tracks and she said Back 40. I never heard the saying before and it instantly stuck. We've been using it since and haven't heard it used besides your post and your pic fits my memory perfectly.
As for covered bridges, I freaking love them. I have CN railroads issued ceramic tiles with pics of them. Have a hand sewn collage and a bunch of puzzles also. Not sure why? The whole concept seems so cool to me. They're made of wood usually, which rots. So lets cover it to save the structural integrity?

It was a family effort -- Dad put in most of the effort. I was just out of school working my first job but I did get home to help put up some siding. There are pictures somewhere but this was still in the days of cameras with film.

I think they were covered to protect the (back then) wooded surface. . . and probably to keep the leaves off in Autumn!

5 months ago I got my first game and I was reading all these things about how they tend to multiply. I had a really solid plan though - I was going to stick with just that one for about a year or so to try to learn about the maintenance and the work involved. A time period to try to decide if I wanted to actually own pins or just be satisfied playing on location. You know, just kind of sticking a toe in the water.
Friday I took a trip and came back with 3 more. Looks like I'm here to stay for awhile...

Yeah! Golden Eye is underrated. That and X-Files. I love shooting the parabolic disc.

Agree, I did not like BSD for a long time. Friend has piinsound in it. I think it elevates this game to another level. Huge differnence. You need to light this machine correctly. Can be beautifull and a fun though hard game.

Started a 3 hour round trip adventure with the intent of bringing back 1 or 2 late 40s woodrails but ended up with another early 70s Williams some how. This thing has a slot machine of sorts so time to hit the Jackpot.

He made the alternative translite and speaker grill kit a few years ago. He did another batch a couple of months ago. He’s going to do a small run soon. $200 for the translite and speaker grill.

The only downside is that some games need to start going into storage position. Mostly mine and one other who has plenty of games here. Up to 4 folks including myself have games here. We like to think of my place as a pinball sanctuary from those wives who say “that’s too many games”. Most of us can’t help but liberate older games that would otherwise become forgotten in basements for many more decades.
Just brought this Fire home. I've been intrigued with this one for a bit and one popped up a few miles away. Came with a NOS PF, so this should be pretty when it's all cleaned up.

yup, and it was the first 50 cent game in our town so it was extra brutal. I had a couple friends that got pretty good at it but it was just a waste of quarters for me.

Nice find. Same story here for being terrible at it as a kid. Picked it up for NES not long ago and saw they released a version for PS4 not long ago too.
Although... from your picture... is that cabinet miniature size or is that just the world's largest TV remote sitting on the floor next to it???
Nicely done. Looks pretty sweet. I've been collecting old NES games off and on for a while. Had maybe like 15-20 as a kid. Still have those and then went back and bought used a bunch of ones I never got but always wanted. That was about the time I realized NES made six different pinball video games. And this is waaaay before the likes of Pinball Arcade for PS4. The graphics and physics are not exactly top notch by today's standards.
Anyway, I couldn't believe it when I realized they made a Highspeed pinball video game for original Nintendo. Much better than Duck Hunt
