Just saw this thread I picked up 3 machines in the last few months JD, Popeye, and Rocky and Bullwinkle all great games

Quoted from fabsj82:

My EM repair skills are lacking and this thing is terrifying inside

I want to get an EM again (first machine was Abra-Ca-Dabra), but your quote is the reason I hesitate.

Nice variety. You should definitely post some pictures.

EMs are just like SS machines only the components are a lot bigger.
Just follow the voltage.
I actually enjoy troubleshooting EMs much more than SS as it usually ends up being an adjustment or a cleaning.

I just completed my bot collection this past weekend with the Jackbot addition.

Ok two days ago. Took a little to get it playing. And it still only play a two player game. But back glass and playfield are really nice.

Please let me know what size balls are in the head. Thank you!

Enjoy great time to jump back in. I did the same about three months ago. Love how strong this hobby is and all the great manufacturers and people on this site and around the world who enjoy playing pins. Maiden is one of the best in my opinion.

Brought home a nice, mostly working Grand Prix over the weekend. My EM repair skills are lacking and this thing is terrifying inside lol.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Nice Pickup. I have an Aztec and a parted out Grand Prix. The Aztec is very similar to the Aztec. Let me know if you need any info. I believe I have a set of Grand Prix plastics and other parts.

However that pin looks in pretty good shape

I would have thought they were identical.

Sprechen Sie Deutsch ?

I don't but I will have to consult a translation dictionary for a few of the playfield and backglass words on my latest addition: a German language 1971 Bally Firecracker. This is the first of two games that Harry Williams designed and Bally produced in 1971. The other game is the highly sought-after Skyrocket.

Here is an interesting article about these Bally-Williams games.
https://www.pinballnews.com/site/2017/11/30/harry-williams-and-bally/

I made an early morning 800 mile round trip to pick this up from a fellow pinsider. The game is working and will go through my beauty treatment to make it shine like a new penny. I eventually would like to find an English version or swap in an English playfield and a new English BGresto backglass. Luck for me this one does not have any fuse issues

As someone who grew up playing a Bally Fireball German edition at my favorite Imbiss in Kaiserslautern Germany in the early '70s....please don't, leave it original as it looks to be in fine shape.

Well, it's not as nice in person. Lots of broken parts. It gave its life so that others may live.

Thx my friend. The only other machine I owned close to 20 years ago was Data East Star Wars. Was a fun game, but things have really changed since then!

I also own a recently acquired Firecracker and it also has the German language , so "Ich speche ein bisschen deutsch" - I speak a little German; so I appreciate the language as written in German. You don't see this title for sale very often and the one's you see mostly are the German versions. Mine still had the transformer wired to the 220 volt, but it was easy to change with a label on the side of the cabinet showing how to change the wires for 120 volt.

I'm glad to see you got to get this title as it's a neat example of what Harry Williams designed only 2 of; now to only find a Skyrocket!

Grabbed a Gottlieb "300" from a friend's neighbor. And when I say "grabbed" I mean "grabbed it out of his trash." One fewer game headed to the landfill! This one might be a challenge to bring back to life though...

BOOYA!
After 4 years of searching, I’ve finally secured a wild Granny. Fresh pick from an old operators trailer.
She’s the only game to survive. The rest were totally disintegrated and this Granny isn’t far behind.
This is gonna get a full all-out restoration.
Baby Pac was my second ever game I picked up and I’ve searched for it’s sister game ever since.
I ALSO secured not one but TWO completely populated spare playfields for Granny and the Gators! Talk about an incredible haul!!!

They are still out there if you look hard enough and harass everyone you meet
