Comet, Cyclone, and Hurricane have roller coasters featured prominently in the art.
Quoted from Ballypin:Hey, let’s all lighten up with some joy. Here is the Captain Fantastic I picked up this morning and is the 4th CF I have owned in the last 22 years. This one came from a great pinsider in Elkhart, IN and he sold it to me for what he paid. I plan to take some better parts of it and combine with CF#3 I purchased in May and then offer up that game at NO profit to me. Small way to pay back the hobby.
I’ll probably have sideways pictures but I’ll fix that when I get home.

Dang it...wish you were closer. I'd like your leftover Capt Fantastic.
Quoted from sunnRAT:Comet, Cyclone, and Hurricane have roller coasters featured prominently in the art.
Oktoberfest has a pretty good roller coaster also.

That’s nothing. I am picking up Flip Flop # 5 on Friday and then I will have another leftover.
You were closer. But...
The kinfolk said "Jed move away from there"
Said "Californy is the place you ought to be"
So you loaded up the truck and you moved to Beverly
Hills, that is. Swimmin pools, movie stars, spensive pinball machines.

I do remember one of your Flip Flops...reusable stencils you made, all that. Great memories!! And thanks for the good deals on pins you sold me!
But yeah, downsizing and Californy living is nice for us. Retirement community, golf, tennis, swimming all that. I do miss the game rooms I had in Ohio. Here you get about 1/2 the home for 5 times the money, so don't have as many pins here, but I'm having fun with the projects I do find and fix up.
Maybe you need to make a cross country trip with a trailer like @ibuypinballs, bring me some projects, and load up on your return to Ohio.
Quoted from Colsond3:Nice grab. Playmatic games hold up so well. How many roller coaster themed pins are there?
Thanks, pretty sure it's HUO, the seller had it since he was 14. Never imagined I'd find one so nice.
There are at least 20 coaster pins if you count flipperless. Can find more on IPBD than Pinside "Machines".
I just picked up this road show. The owner told me he thought it might be HUO. I was skeptical, but its clean. There isn't even a leg mark on the cabinet. I am ordering some leg standoffs so I wont ruin the artwork. Will be a few days till I set it up.

Yes, that is FF# 3 that will get a playfield transplant from # 5 and then # 5 will get sold with the not-as-nice # 3 playfield. There is a collector in Lexington that is restoring a Flip Flop with a clearcoated NOS PF and it is drop dead gorgeous. I think I would offer a spare kidney for this.

I am afraid the trailer would quickly fill with Cali people looking to escape east to sanity. As long as they bring some good Bally's along with 'em.
Quoted from freeplay3:I just picked up this road show.
Always wanted a Road Show.
Quoted from Slogan1111:Guess someone did piss in your coffee? This thread is about what machine you brought home today. Geez....
No wiz in my coffee yesterday or today. Was making a joke-that mabey someone was jealous of all of the pick ups Colson posts here.
Thanks for pointing out what the title of the thread is!
Quoted from Colsond3:[quoted image]
Nice pick up, a Black hole! With all the questions I asked you to get mine working, you should be refreshed and ready to take care of whatever this one needs.
Quoted from ibuypinballs:Well not pinballs but part of a pinball lot purchase.

Nice! I think IM is an undervalued pin in the market today. Enjoy!
Quoted from snyper2099:A devil? Nah... Maybe you could somehow convince others in the thread you are not just a common flipper though... but I doubt it. Besides it’s nearly impossible to convince anyone on this site of anything.
When you go buy the games are you like tingling nervous and stuff like what if they change their mind and you can’t flip the game for some horrific reason? You may as well be flipping 80’s Camaros and Cadillacs.
“Bringing a game home” is completely different than cramming as many as you can fit into a storage unit and only focusing on buying what you know you can flip. Others may have an I don’t care attitude and that’s fine but it at least “taints” or at minimum, devalues the other user’s posts in the thread when they just got a new game into their “home arcade” that they have been wanting on for years. Carry on!
I’ve played his amazing Vampire in the free play area at shows at least two different years. That to me is pretty far up on the list of being a saint in this hobby.

Don't we all, or we wouldn't be on this web site. LOL
Quoted from edward472:I just sold my machine. So, I'm currently pinballess. I'm need a fix soon.

My condolences.
What did you sell?
Quoted from cloggedDrain:My condolences.
What did you sell?
DE JP. Didn't think I would mind being pinless but now I'm sitting here building a short list of games
I’m new here. My dad just gave me his 1979 Williams Flash machine. I grew up playing this thing in my parent’s basement. Now it’s moving to my basement.
This thing needs some work, but I have no idea where to start. I’m looking forward to being part of this community and learning more about repairing pinball machines.

This game is fast and fun
LOTR LE out as well.
So, after almost a yr of absence bought a game for myself as a replacement of TSPP which was sold two weeks ago.
Went to a nice seller for a GOTG pro but came home with a nice MB equipped with Pinsound, Pinspeakers and Pinshaker
Pinsound is a lot of fun I must admit. Cabinet was touched up but decent. Playfield is almost spotless . So a real classic in the house. Now to make the settings more difficult, have Monsters of Rock already on almost first game ....
Installed already a NVRAM to make sure no battery damage can occur down the road and a PIN2DMD which I had lying around.

So had it restored by Profgrif and picked it up today. What an amazing game. The new speaker system, pinsound, and other various mods make it so worth it.!

Welcome to the Indy Club. This was the first pin I bought back in 2003. Seventeen years later, it's still in my collection and bringing me regular joy. It's truly an awesome game.
Quoted from Colsond3:So you have to make an exception for a game close by...that’s somewhat rare...and on your wishlist...right?
[quoted image]
I was just thinking you were due.
Quoted from Ballypin:Mystery pickup from another 30 hour, 1460 mile round trip.
Gotta keep up with Colson.
