Quoted from Colsond3:WTH? Apparently I now bring home games while I’m doing yardwork.
My buddy just stopped by and dropped this off in my driveway. He sold it to a guy a few years back, and got a call that it would light up but stopped booting. When he got there, the guy asked if he would just buy it back.
He drove it here, thinking I would want it. I’m at capacity, so I’d be happy to pass it on for the $700 I gave him for it if anybody wants it. It’s still sitting in the garage for easy pick up...today.
Might be the MPU dropping below 5V. If somebody in this thread wants it quickly, I’ll even do $650 if it’s a game somebody was looking for.
I haven’t set it up, but looks like a pretty nice example. BG does have some touchups. PF is pretty nice. He shopped it before he sold it, did a good amount of work. New beehive, new drop targets, new pop caps, plastics are all in great shape. Rebuilt the flips and pops.
And it has an original Stingray key fob.

Played one a few years ago, was pretty fun. Pity you did not have it 24 hours ago when I was roaming around your backyard!
Quoted from AlexF:A couple classics arrived yesterday from a friend in California. Frontiersman and Skill Roll.

FYI: If you need plastics for the Frontiersman, Pinball Rescue just re-made them. Great game.

Haha. And I would’ve helped you load it.
Issy is already out there looking at the artwork and liking the backglass and PF. If she starts putting the legs on I’m in trouble. LOL.

This one has repros (from Shay i think). But thank you. I'm having a lot of fun with it already.
Quoted from Scrimmbo:Picked up a free Pharaoh from an old timer who just wanted it out of his basement, was expecting a real dog, but it's in surprisingly good shape!
Now that’s an awesome game to get for free.
Quoted from Dee-Bow:this pick up location was a scene right out of Deliverance .. two hour drive to the middle of nowhere.. then found a few farm houses on a property and one of them was an old cafe.. only pin for sale was robocop. Grabbed it and a few cocktail tables for a friend. They asked if i wanted Central Park.. for free! How could i say no!
Glad to see it went to a good home! I saw the ad but by the time I saw it, robocop was listed as sold already. I think he posted it around midnight and it was marked as sold by 7am, nice grab!

Wish you were closer.
Quoted from dothedoo:Wish you were closer.
Always. The motto of our hobby. I wish you were too. I really don’t have space for this thing and I’m getting real tempted to set it up.
I feel like it’s a battle I will lose shortly.

You can set it up at my place
Quoted from freddy:You can set it up at my place
C’mon Tom. You know me better than that. The battle was already lost 20 minutes ago. There’s always room in the garage.
This thing is clean!

What was the asking price? Haven't been on kijiji in a while.

Your welcome for the room
Quoted from dirkdiggler:What was the asking price? Haven't been on kijiji in a while.
It was already marked as sold when I saw it, so they had removed the price. The arcade cabs they had listed as well were fairly priced, so I assumed robocop was too. I saw it through Facebook marketplace, but maybe it was on kijiji too
Congrats again Dee-Bow

If you ain't messaging til after 3:00a.m. with a 75 year old lady about pinball... are you really trying hard enough?!
Quoted from EasternBloc:24 hour roundtrip to pickup this beauty; seemed appropriate to document a Circle K stop.
Guess what honey, this trip's not for a pinball!

Need to start a poll to determine how many Pinsiders won't know what the hell is in your truck. I am going to guess at least 10%.

It one of those old-tyme urinals if I'm not mistaken.

I recently obtained a 60's 70's vintage parking meter and my coworkers thought I was nuts, I confirmed it when I told them I want one of these next!

You mean the booth with the word "phone" all over it? That'll be a tough mystery to solve.

Or hook that up so when you lift the receiver and enter a code, the bottom becomes an elevator which takes you down into your game room.

I would still wager a good size number would fail.

A little SprayWay and this puppy shines up really well! No scratches or broken glass or plastics; no graffiti anywhere. Still had a Lynchburg, VA phone book in it. I think this style came out in 1954 and is called airflight. I'm sure it quickly becomes a greenhouse in the Louisiana heat.

Got plans for that!
Quoted from JHS71:Superman fan?
Indeed! And Bill & Ted, The Birds, North by Northwest, Get Smart - but only just now put the movie "Phone Booth" on my watch list. Haven't seen that one yet.

Phone Booth was pretty gripping if I recall correct, been several years though.

That's awesome! Do you have the phone to go in it?

Quoted from DuffysArcade:300 miles of driving. Game was sitting on the 4th floor with NO ELEVATOR! It was all worth it...a fairly rare and hard to find machine now in my possession!! So excited to pair it up with the rest of the collection. Any guesses what it is??

Although it appears to be a phone booth, it’s actually the secret entrance to Control, which KAOS has not yet discovered.
By the way, I think Get Smart! would make a great pinball theme. Can you imagine all the stuff from the show that could be put on a pin?

They could include the Cone of Silence into it.

I found a year of manufacture of 1966 on the tempered glass. The push button pay phone was introduced in 1963, so I think my pay phone will reflect that new technology! One Bell Atlantic payphone coming up!
