Quoted from Murphdom:It was interesting getting it in the finished basement. I had to take it apart in three and separate the coin door base from the alley. I was hoping I could have left it in two but it couldn’t make the swing. We then slid the alley through a window. After getting the cabinet downstairs we realized it was too wide for the door by a couple inches. In order to fit it I had to take the decorative trim around the head to slide it in. I probably should have taken measurements . I really didn’t want to move it back out
Oh Damn. You've got a good wife buddy!
Quoted from mbaumle:Snagged this guy cheap-as-free. Not a huge fan of System 1 games, but for the price paid, I’ll gladly rehab it and give it a good home for a while.
[quoted image]
Saw one listed near me for $1800. As a bonus, it doesn't work!
Quoted from Pablito350:1000 miles in one day???
[quoted image]
Yes Please!
So, you can see for miles and miles?
Quoted from corvair61:No caption needed. She’s a beauty.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
I feel as though if I could only have one game, and money were no object, that might be it. Beautiful! Congrats.
Quoted from Colsond3:Finally able to find my daughter’s favorite game and pick one up again. She’s been giving me grief ever since I sold my original restored one.
She doesn’t know I’m getting it, and she’s going to be super stoked!! (When I get home in 4 hours )
[quoted image][quoted image]
The things we do for our kids, right? !!!
Quoted from gdonovan:Well now I know why guy never answered back!
Gearhead friend been pestering me for mine but I wont sell so been keeping eye out for him.
Ha! You saw the ad too?
Actually, your review pushed me over the edge to go get it.
Quoted from gutz:Ringer, ringer, chicken dinger
[quoted image]
Nice snag! Been looking for one of those wall/pedestal games for a while now.
Quoted from Murphdom:Nice! Most importantly...where are the PF and BG pics?
I'll run a separate thread for that. The playfield is actually in terrific shape! Backglass too! Cabinet and metal,,,,, meh, not so great.
Quoted from ThatOneDude:My latest pickup. A somewhat rare Gameplan Super Nova. Very clean. Was told it didn't work. Plugged it in, and it booted up. Have some bugs to work out, but it's alive.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Once you replace all of those silly connectors you should be good to go!
Quoted from Pinkitten:Got this beast inside and upright. Now to shop it lightly and start a voyage...
[quoted image]
Engage!
Quoted from sunnRAT:Keeping the Bally streak goin... Brought home Hotdoggin' last night.
[quoted image]
Hahaha!
Its early, and my eyes aren't quite ready to work yet.
I looked quickly and saw "Loggins!" And a guy on stage...
Thought, oh wow, a rethemed pin for Kenny Logging, that's the first I've seen that!
Quoted from pingod:I picked up a really nice AFM LE #129 last night.
406 plays on it. Still looks like new
[quoted image][quoted image]
Always amazes me. I feel as though I play 400 games in the first week of a new pin!
Best of luck, and nice catch!
Quoted from PinballManiac40:Congrats. I see a burnt J6 interconnect board connector replacement in your future due to the left GI being out.
Good to know. I only booted it up last night to try a single game. It sure looked dark! You just saved me some time. Much appreciated!
Quoted from Pinkitten:That looks like a fun garage/work space to get projects done. Congrats on Space Station, fun game.
Thanks. Yeah, I really enjoy it, only thing is my Jeep has to sit outside during project mode.
Quoted from ThatOneDude:I picked up this very sad Space Station yesterday. Lots to fix. But, and this is despite a bank of exploded batteries, it boots and sounds great. [quoted image][quoted image]
Same with me! Except I've got very little GI going on.
Quoted from Mopar:And a barn that's been collapsed a few years.
I saw some of the Candy and Cigarette machines he pulled,
and all 100% rust.
He said the only things left were Bingos and Bowlers. When
he grabbed them, they fell apart.
This head must had been in a drier corner. Some cracking on the
top, but solid along with the sides and bottom..
Oh man, I hate to hear about totalled bowlers.
Quoted from Mikespinball:Also the back glass is in excellent condition with no peeling/cracking issues.
The girl has always reminded me of Erin Gray from the Buck Rogers TV series.
Quoted from Mathazar:And the guy always reminded me of Bernie from Weekend at Bernie's.
Ha! I've never noticed that! Spot on!
Quoted from Sean_bc:Grabbed a Shaq attaq today. I know it's not popular, but price is right and the basketball theme works for me.
[quoted image]
So long as you enjoy it, who cares about popularity? Heck, its actually a good business model these days! Have fun with it!
Quoted from Rolpa:I would... if it actually booted.
(At least I got it cheap though.)
The best kind. Enjoy!
Quoted from adtseismo:very excited to have this in the gameroom, probably the prettiest game i've ever owned, this thing plays FAST and this thing plays FURIOUS, all out of space now so this is the last of 3 games I can have down there and I cannot be anymore satisfied.
DIE COMRADE!
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Still one of the fastest games I've played! I wouldn't mind scoring another one some day!
Quoted from gdonovan:Heading home with pin and neon sign!
[quoted image]
Took a trip to The Island I see...
Nice grab!
Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:Just scored a real uncommon dream! This was only 25 minutes away in an Orthodontist office where it’s lived for 8+ years. Never been serviced except for last year when some “tech” “fixed” the issues and by that I mean jacked up the flippers and shorted a bunch of switches.
Still, the price was bonkers, cheaper than most Facebook EMs this will never happen again![quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]Drop-A-Card is a fantastic game! My first and I still love it.
I love write offs!
Quoted from snyper2099:A 20 year long (I have bill of sale to prove it) quest of mine is complete! Behold a nice, fully working, unrestored Missile Command built from two different machines. I did rebuild the trackball after this shot.
[quoted image]
Such a great game!
Quoted from EJS:In for the next two months. Someone wanted an additional power switch on the back box. Going to reverse that soon.
[quoted image][quoted image]
I wonder if that head was a wall hanger for a while and found it's way back to a machine?
Quoted from hwyhed:It was a game I had, n well missed having. Happy to bring a clean 1 back home, had to drive 30 miles to get it. she has a beautiful repro pf, and can’t wait to dial it in tomorrow
[quoted image][quoted image]
30 miles... did you even need GPS?
Nice score looks beautiful!
Quoted from jokerpoker:This came up……..and well you know what happened next!
AlienLV out and SWLE in. Much happier now. 43 lifetime plays oh yeah!!!
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
43 lifetime plays? I just don't understand people. I usually put 43 plays on a new-to-me machine on in the first 2 days! Glad you rescued it!
Quoted from Flash71:Well after 7 hours round trip and 4 international border crossings the pin that’s been eluding me for years is finally home. It’s not at the top of everyone’s wish list but I love the movie and the game is fun as all hell to play. Glad I waited as this machine is in fantastic condition. Thanks A1k71 for you’re hospitality and the work you put into making this pin special. Also thanks to jsandjs for making this pin possible for me. “Everybody underground now”
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
More proof people should buy what they like, and not by ranking! Happy for you, you sound completely satisfied!
Quoted from Pookiegus:Just picked up a 1977 Bally Evel Knievel!
[quoted image]
It needs a new MPU
and the playfield needs alot of work.
[quoted image]
[quoted image]
[quoted image]The backglass is in great shape![quoted image]
Cabinet also needs some work!
[quoted image][quoted image]
Saw that one listed. I'm guessing the $4,444 was a placeholder!
Quoted from Murphdom:New addition to the family
[quoted image]
I love lower pops. Nice grab!
Quoted from AndrewMC:Saw this for sale in a restarunt earlier this week and the timing couldn't have been better, having recently come into some cash. I decided to take it home. First pin for me, so far it's been so much fun to have in the house. The guy who sold it to me said everyone says they stop at one... we'll see if I've found a new pain in my wallet!
[quoted image]
Definitely a "Just one more" game. Enjoy!
Quoted from radium:Amazing what you can get at Walmart.
[quoted image]
Street level game?
Quoted from Colsond3:I’m not sure if anything tops my 93-year-old grandmother playing Halloween, walker and all. And loving it.
[quoted image]
Wish I could upvote this twice!
Quoted from KneeKickLou:Was able to work out a trade with another great Pinsider.
Life finds a way
[quoted image][quoted image]
All I see is a dinosaur sized pin next to a regular sized refrigerator!
Quoted from Kolk1:[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Loving the selfie with no typing! Nice looking grab!
Quoted from GCS2000:Pray for us that we make it home. A Stern does not fit in a 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe. I had no idea. My fault for not checking first.
[quoted image]
I've loosened heads and slid them down a few inches to fit before.
Good luck, always nerve racking when things don't quite go right.
Quoted from Darkwing:Just got this guy, beautiful game that just needs the flippers rebuilt. Always surprises me when the game is 100% minus the flippers being strong lol.. Not sure I could even sell it without playing it with strong flippers first!
[quoted image]
That looks to be in amazing condition! Nice get!
EMs are pieces of functional artwork. Classic simple lines with pleasing characters.
The newer games have some nice art too, but I feel it often gets lost within itself.
Quoted from Climber:Long time reader, FIRST TIME pin owner!!! The wife and I thought we would be the only ones excited, but the kids are a bit crazy about this as well. Just picked up F-14 from Game Exchange here in Denver (JJ and Rob are great to work with). Paid the upper end of the going rate ($2995) but they did put in LED’s. Other than read through the manual I’m not sure what else to do (buy more pins?!?!?). I look forward to getting some great insights and feedback from this awesome group of folks. Cheers!
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Of all the pins I've owned, I'd say F14 was the most "one more gsme" machine for me. Just brutally fast, and some quick ball times as well. Enjoy!
Quoted from Foxxstone_80:Picked up a Very dirty metoer. It's playable but is going to need some love. Displays are wonky, several hacks I will need to adress and probably many more issues. Not bad for $300 though.
[quoted image][quoted image]
That's a decent grab. Have fun!
Quoted from mbaumle:Big day today!
Picked up this sweeeeeeeeet ball bowler from an estate this afternoon.
[quoted image]
[quoted image]
And snagged this nice little Rancho for my friend’s wife. It was a 40th anniversary gift.
[quoted image]
Even came with the metal guard!
