Quoted from RWH:I know a lot of pinsiders said Wonka felt cheap but I did not think so, nor did the flippers feel weak. I played over 20 games on it at Pincinnati and it was a hell of a lot of fun!
Wasn’t sure how I was going to like it, but set up a very fair trade with a friend so I was covered if it didn’t click and I needed to move it quickly.
Man, this thing has so many shot paths and they are all fairly easy to hit. Combos everywhere, super fast, and it appears every single mode is stackable. The standard is a fantastic deal and really glad I went for it.

That's what I'm saying! Enjoy it man, you got a great pin there IMHO.
Quoted from thepinballworks:The Grand Prix will need some TLC to get it going again. It’s been sitting for a few years.
The Booz barometer I already got it working.[quoted image][quoted image]
Does that mean your testing the Booz Barometer as intended?
Quoted from RonSS:Does that mean your testing the Booz Barometer as intended?
Yes, yes it does.
Picked up a TRON LE.
Amazing condition...

Quoted from RWH:Haters? I played that game just last weekend at Pincinnati and I thought it was fun. I only played 3 games but I enjoyed it. I try not to pay attention to others likes or dislikes, I'm me and we are all different. I'd bet that 90% of the pinsiders on here like Fun House, I hate it, didn't like back in the day when it came out, and still don't like it today. Each to their own so damn the torpedo's!
Agree
Quoted from MikeO:I saw that on CL. That was a steal of a price for a decent game.
It was! I'm actually surprised it was still available when the guy got back to me.
Congrats! I played about 10 games on that pin just recently during Pincinnati and it was one of the best new pins I 've played! My brother and I had a blast, it was a lot of fun, fast and challenging too.

Agreed! My first impressions while playing it at Pincinnati were very good. Nice game!!

Thanks
I love it!! Can’t get enough.... I was at Pincinnati too. What did you guys think of the new Elvira?
For Free!?! Gotta hear this story and you with that type of luck better go buy a lottery ticket, put 1000.00 on the Redskins to win the superbowl or something crazy like that, cause you sir are definitely on a streak!!!!!!
Quoted from Green-Machine:What did you guys think of the new Elvira?
I liked it, had fun playing but, it was not as good as the JP game you got that's a fact!

Guy on the local pinball mailing list offered them up for free. I was the first to respond that I would take them and pickup that day. Reached out to my buddy @gunstarhero who supplied the truck, and another friend came along to help move em (thanks, Adam P!)
End story, owner wanted em GONE.

I agree that JP is a lot better. Elvira was pretty fun to play. Loved the haunted house.
Quoted from dsuperbee:I was the first to respond that I would take them and pickup that day
Wow free pins and people actually contacted him and wouldn't come to pick them up right away!?! Congrats friend you are one lucky guy.

(Black Rose, Heavy Metal Meltdown, and Riverboat Gambler)[quoted image]
Quoted from ibuypinballs:Well not a pinball but pretty cool 1920's Chester Pollard Play Football. Was in Pallisades Amusement Park up untill 1971.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Very nice grab! What condition are the machines in? Very interesting that the guy was willing to just give them for free with the catch just being they had to be picked up.
Quoted from pacman11:Grabbed several pins recently. Now I’ve got some projects to work on.. Nice pick up Adam on Godzilla!
Man you don't see a lot of the WW's for sale here. I've seen them up for sale though everywhere else lately. Nice grab, both are good pins.
Quoted from mbaumle:Another super late night run, and the 3rd pin pickup this month. Early production Taxi with Marilyn artwork. I was out of room 2 games ago, but I couldn't pass this deal up.
[quoted image]
That would look great next to my Star Trek

I hope you dropped him a case of beer or something!
Quoted from jrpinball:Struck Gold.... again!
This is now the fifth one I've come across over the years.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Nice get JR!
Quoted from jrpinball:I don't know if I should remove this or not.[quoted image]
I love the old operator decals on games- kind of gives them a history/character. I leave them on the games I aquire.

Same here - I'd leave it. The older the better!
Quoted from schwism:I agree with leaving it on.
This is not a sticker. It appears to have been painted on the apron.[quoted image]
Painted? That's a real steady hand!

I’m guessing it is a factory paint job.

Sure looks like a sticker. I say that because of its transparency. You can see the stripe running under the upper left corner and the paint texture under it. There looks to be an edge around the upper right. I could be wrong. Just what I see when I zoom in on it.

Looks like a water slide decal. They were so damn thin years ago, that they almost do look like they were painted on.
