Quoted from Yelobird:

Did you actually lay that game on its side? Never tried that before. Enjoy PBM.

I brought a Time Machine home in my truck on it side with the head off, I was able to put my roll top across and have it hidden and protected all the way home. Worked like charm, I was happy as hell. Really, these things are left standing on end for years at a time, and I don't hear about any cringing, this is just on its side, no biggie.

7 hour drive - check
Another one from my wishlist - check
Latest pin pickup (11:30pm) - check
New Pinside friend (great seller) - check
Back home by 7am? - doubtful
[quoted image]

Nice pickup! Glad you were able to make it down and didn't lose out on it!

Quoted from AlexF:

That is promising. I've had Little Chief and Flip Flop and liked them both.

Those were a couple of my favorites.

Had to make a 5 hour drive (each way) so my wife could visit her father who is in the hospital. I found a HUO Star Wars Episode 1, super low plays, about 20 minutes away for a fair deal. Will give me something new to play around with a while at least.

Elvira just showed up this morning. Can’t wait to unbox her and get her in the lineup. Been up all anxious since 5:30 this morning lol.

I did. I’ve seen it done before. Certainly not ideal, but completely doable when wrapped up properly. Thanks!

Picked up this 1975 Bally Hi-Deal yesterday

Was this the one in the Racine/Kenosha area? I think I saw it on facebook and tried a couple of times to get the guy to respond to me but he never replied to any of my inquiries. If that's the one, I'm glad someone got it.

Yes sir, that was it. I don't have Facebook though and got it through Craigslist. You've been on a streak lately anyway.

I tried contacting him through craigslist as well and got no response. It had been advertised for a long time and figured it was worth shooting him an offer. I could never get him to reply. Good for you though, that you were able to grab it. Yes, I've been fairly lucky the last several weeks with picking up games. My "shop" queue is pretty long and I'm hoping to get to them very soon.

Nice little 5 hour trip, including a ferry ride to an island, to get this wonderful little mechanical masterpiece. It's legs were amputated below the knee so I'll need to replace those and a few parts but it plays nice right now. Cant wait to shine it up.

Got my first pin and it is an #Oktoberfest bought at Pincinnati. We are absolutely thrilled with it.

Thanks again to Zach from Flip N Out Pinball and Dan from American Pinball!

Congratulations. Buckwerx.com (operated by Nate Thompson, a great prewar pinball enthusiast) which acquired the Rockola replacement parts business from the late Hal O'Rourke, is your source for Rockola pinball parts.

Not quite, but good guess! Special Force has joined our ranks, and we're glad to have it on the squad - at least, once we fix the rusty rails and dead flipper.
Picked it up for dirt cheap, with the seller even suggesting a retheme.

At right: the Firepower that I picked up two weeks ago, for even cheaper, and forgot to post in this thread.

This reminds me that several years ago I too bought a Special Force and Firepower, in a package deal, with the FP being super cheap. Good times. Congrats!

Haters? I played that game just last weekend at Pincinnati and I thought it was fun. I only played 3 games but I enjoyed it. I try not to pay attention to others likes or dislikes, I'm me and we are all different. I'd bet that 90% of the pinsiders on here like Fun House, I hate it, didn't like back in the day when it came out, and still don't like it today. Each to their own so damn the torpedo's!

I know a lot of pinsiders said Wonka felt cheap but I did not think so, nor did the flippers feel weak. I played over 20 games on it at Pincinnati and it was a hell of a lot of fun!
