Quoted from topkat:That one was sweet. Don’t think you can find one that nice for that price Any more
Was nice work
Thanks. I got the base game for 400 or 450, and sold it for what we put into it. The right side of the cabinet ended up absorbing some of the new stencil, but that and the darker blue on the PF touch up were really the only things I wasn’t happy with.
It came out great otherwise. I think I sold it in an hour. Should have kept it, especially after all that work. It’s a fun game.
Quoted from dirkdiggler:Because of a awesome friend I get a chance to play a game I've always wanted to try. Too bad it's thawing out after a 3 hr trip in -6° temps. Allows me to start shopping it out cause it is one dirty girl.[quoted image][quoted image]
Glad to see you are watching the game.
Maybe “World Series” is an ok term if someone outside of the US is watching.

I kinda remember back in high school we won a couple? Probably would have 3 in a row if the 95 strike season hadn't happened with the Montreal Expos killing it that season. Go Astros. Would love to see the comeback.
images.jpgNice, I really like the System80 pins Gottlieb made, great art and good play. I hope you post some pic's of that Bell Ringer when you get it up and running.

Would be if there really were teams from all around the world
Quoted from transprtr4u:love the bolt on carry handle ....great idea !
It’s especially very handy when a pin has to be carried downstairs
Quoted from Rensh:It’s especially very handy when a pin has to be carried downstairs
is this handle homemade? I assume its adjustable as the Indy is a wide body!
Quoted from Nihonmasa:Would be if there really were teams from all around the world
It's a common misconception. The championship series was originally sponsored by the New York World newspaper, hence "The World Series." After the newspaper closed the tradition carried on and the name stuck.

Not to sidetrack things any further, that’s in every sport now though. Super Bowl winners are referred to as “world champions”, when in actuality they are just national champions.
Same thing with basketball. The only sport that keeps it real is hockey. Which is surprising, because there are actually Canadian teams so it is a multi-country sport. Well, there are 1 or 2 in basketball also.
Quoted from Colsond3:Not to sidetrack things any further, that’s in every sport now though. Super Bowl
The guys the only sport that is truly "world champions" is soccer! The World Cup has basically every country in the world participating in some form. Just my .02

Canada has baseball teams in the MLB, they just play so poorly that it’s easy to forget they exist
Quoted from Vic_Camp:I picked up this super nice condition Eight Ball Champ recently.
Wow nice pick up! That is in really nice condition, you got a score there.
Quoted from Colsond3:Very cool. The first pin I ever restored with my buddy back in 2015. I may still have the stencils somewhere if you need them.
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/for-sale-harlem-globetrotters-completely-refurbished
That would be super cool. The cab has seen a bit of wear and fade. I figured stencils would be in my future.
Finally got my Superman back from Allan at Ardvark. The man is an absolute savior. And stopped at the opera on the way home.

Man, it’s been a long day and I figured you were adding some culture to your life with that opera comment. Then I saw the picture.
Cool pickup.

No doubt, Allan is a savior. Glad you got "S" back with a Phantom to keep him company.
Quoted from Keroppi:After ~20 pins, my first EM, first zipper flipper, and first NLA parts.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Contact PBR for the coils, he will have what you need. Burnt coils not uncommon as the mech will bind up, get stuck and coil will stay on to fusion happens.
Quoted from epeabs:No doubt, Allan is a savior. Glad you got "S" back with a Phantom to keep him company.
Phantom was keeping Xenon company but I think she got tired of the screaming on the drains. Fun pin though, great sound.

I have seen Mozart’s Requiem several times, Don Giovanni, Carmina Burana and several others, mostly at the Lincoln Center in NYC. They used to do the Mostly Mozart Festival up there annually, but I haven’t seen that they’ve had it in the last few years.
And I did major in Classical Guitar my first year in undergrad.
Quoted from weaverj:was the POTO from hanover? my buddy almost traded for that.
Not that one...my bud Gary up in New England had grabbed this one for me a while back and was holding it. The one in Hanover I believe had a burn mark on the Phantom’s face insert on the PF.

Either that's common or that machine gets around...the last two I saw for sale were the same machine with a burn in the face.

I have watched the Marx Brothers “A Night At The Opera” and listen to “A Night At The Opera” by Queen.
You win.

Awesome! Way back in my college days, I was the featured soloist for a performance of Mozart's Clarinet Quintet; my roots are in classical performance. A bit later, I moved onto jazz saxophone because there were more gigs, so that's how that goes...

You can't go wrong there; best Marx Brothers in my opinion. The stateroom scene gets me every time!
Quoted from egyptrus:Picked this one up this morning. I like it when I only have to drive 15 minutes to get a game. On top of that it was on the main level so getting it out was easy.[quoted image]
Always a plus. I hate showing up and having to use calculus just to get a Damn machine out!

I’ve seen the Bugs Bunny film “What’s Opera, Doc?”
One of my employees found these two for me at a house sale a week or so ago and we just went and picked them up today.
Cross Town, Gottlieb EM pin (my first wedge head) and a Pac Man upright with a Pac Man plus expansion kit in it.
Paid $950 for the pair.
Just finished unloading them from the trailer and stashed them in the garage, but will probably start cleaning the pin up this weekend.
It's pretty nice overall with minimal flaking of the glass and no missing graphics on the play field. l
I'm pretty sure it hasn't been played in a long time. All the rubbers have vulcanized and are hard as a rock.

Nice Score! You actually have room in your garage? lol
Quoted from Pin-Pilot:Nice Score! You actually have room in your garage? lol
LOL, nope I'm totally out of room.
Had to play Tetris with a few cabinets to make them fit.

There is always room for another game!
Quoted from Cloud7:Happy to cross Star Trek off the want list![quoted image]
Looks great. I always wanted to love that game enough to own one but it's never happened. I like playing it a lot but I guess once I get a 100mil game going on it, it starts to feel tedious.
Had this one for a week or so now, but had to get the GI working before I'd post a picture here. All now working and looks great. Prior owner had installed the LED's, and actually delivered and set up for me - in my basement! It doesn't get better (easier) than that! Hardly and fade on the cabinet, very little playfield wear. Overall a great machine!
IMG_9038 (resized).jpgIMG_9040 (resized).jpgIMG_9111 (resized).jpgIMG_9113 (resized).jpgI recommend swapping out the color bulbs in the gi for sunlight white bulbs. It will look so much better. Fish Tales is an awesome game. I'm still amazed you can still find them relatively cheap compared to other great pins from that era.
Quoted from Pin-Pilot:There is always room for another game!
If only my wife would say those same words
A huge thank you to Dono , my father and I picked up this project 1966 Williams Full House . I will start the repairs within the next few months.

Nice pickup Vin!
Love me some SYSTEM 11
Thanks
