Colson, you need help! Tried to unload that Batman for a different pin, there it sits and you add a friend!

Sounds like a pin's best friend to me.
Quoted from Colsond3:Short trip for a very nice Frank this morning.
Stop screwing around and getting new machines and help me find a door handle launcher for my Tales from the Crypt!

Pinstein had them a few months back. I think he also put them on eBay. Not sure if he has any left though.

Cmon, if it wasn't for CD3's adventures this thread would only have 177 pages max
I’ve been missing the hell out of my Iron Man lately, and when this loaded beauty popped up last week I had no choice but to drag it across the country from Texas.
Somebody loved this one for sure, even powder coated the service rails! Now that I’m older and wiser it’s definitely time to open up the outlanes

Damn Patrick...that is one pretty IM. Nice grab.

I’ve regretted it ever since I traded my other loaded one last year. So glad to have one back. You can’t beat 6-ball multiball. This example is damn nice too, with color DMD.

At the time I got scared away that there were no big DMD replacement options. Wasnt the gameplay at all. And you cant beat Frank throwing balls at you.
They did that Flash Gordon perfect from an art perspective imo. It ties in with
The movie and the comics. Looks like a nice pf...which doesn’t seem to be that common these days
Nice pick

I know that pin! The seller is a friend in Dallas. Awesome IM! I'm sending one of mine to Dallas next week to fill the void! Eventually, we will all own each others games at least once.
So after two and a half years of searching I finally found a Stern NBA in collector quality condition within my set price range. It has been a long hunt for this one, I had three of them slip through my fingers through the years and I did not want to overpay. This by far has been my longest hunt for a pinball machine. There are very few of these machines, especially west of the Mississippi.
I was contacted by a fantastic pinsider who held the machine for me for months until he could ship it. He could have sold it for more locally but he gave me a very fair price and worked with me knowing I have been looking for this machine for some time now. He also shared some great stories about hanging out and being friends with Lebron James(I love good stories). Another huge bonus was all the extra parts he generously included that are basically unattainable which is nice to have for a rare title. I am super stoked, it is such a fun game!

Nice score,i bet it feels good after the long wait
Quoted from Colsond3:Damn Patrick...that is one pretty IM. Nice grab.
Thanks Colson! It’s been well played and needs a bit of minor work, but pretty small potato stuff.
BTW I just realized that every time I post something in this thread you always have a new game either a post above or below mine. I scrolled around a bit and wow, I think every 6 posts are one of yours! If I ever get a bigger car and a stair climber I’d probably be doing the same thing
Congrats on Frank that thing looks amazing!
Quoted from Pinkitten:I know that pin! The seller is a friend in Dallas.
Haha yup! Greg’s a great dude. Really went above and beyond. Guessing you’re sending him a Dark Knight?
Quoted from Tbpilot78:Nice score,i bet it feels good after the long wait
Thanks-yes it does feel good, I usually enjoy the hunt but I began to get discouraged with this one. After about a year of searching I tried to talk myself out of wanting one. I thought I would not be able to get replacement parts and did not want to have to deal with that. I got discouraged as I found one in Canada for a good price but found importing was not an easy process and not cheap. Then a cool pinsider contacted me and we went back and forth for a year but could not come to terms. Then I got contacted by another pinsider and I expressed that I was highly interested, only to have his son sell it on Facebook the next day to someone else. I kept plugging away and eventually found what I was looking for. One thing I have learned in this hobby is patience-pays off.

Most Pinsiders know that Colson is a careful driver.
He takes great pains in safely transporting his machines.
Because we've been good friends (and previously work cohorts) for many years, I'm sure that he won't mind if I disclose the lesser known fact that Colson is actually a teenage girl with a BFF named Becky.

Sweet !
Quoted from Mikespinball:I posted yesterday what I brought home, but was cleaning out the machine today and this is what I found. I knew the owner owned it for over 23+ years.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

That can’t be accurate. I’ve only posted in this thread a couple times.
Just got in from a few miles shy of an 800 mile round trip picking up this Slugfest, brought to my attention in the Craigslist Laughs thread. The seller was John Gray, who referred to Pinside as that new place and told of knowing Steve Young when he worked from his house. John has place the pickers would love, coke machines, claw foot bathtubs, all sort of drive in playyground equipment. He even has a couple of phone booths. On the way out I saw a 20' fiberglass catfish in the tree, looking over a giant metal gorilla. Took the advice of a fellow pinsider and spent sometime at Rock Fantasy, who John daid he sold their original Bally Kiss to. On the way back to Vermont I stopped in and met the man, the myth, the legend, Steve Young at PB Resource. He was much nicer in person than if Id called him without part or account numbers. He let me slide because I told him it was a spur of the moment stop, so i was winging trying to think of a few parts I needed.

How did you guess?! Yep, sending my BDK to Dallas to join my Spider-Man which went there 18 months ago! I always wanted to have a SM and BDK next to each other. I suppose this is one way to do it!
Quoted from BorgDog:then yesterday spent 10 hours in the truck doing my best colsond3 imitation, I think he may even approve of the game. both fully working that just need a few tweaks and cleanup.
Nice pick up! It’s good to have a thread showing the joy when we bring games home, even with a selfie.
Definitely a game I regret selling. Even though I’ve had six or seven of them . Last one was nice...I definitely recommend throwing some purple displays in there.
