Quoted from pudealee:

I really would like to find a good old EM with a manual ball lift. Memories!

Quoted from Silverstreak02:

Like this?[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Or maybe like this? Just picked this up after playing tag with a flaky CL seller. After failing to show up twice I gave it one last shot and a crazy, old cat lady showed up in a car loaded with stickers declaring “Catitude”
She claims she bought it from an operator in Long Island when she was 18 and has owned it for over 45 years. Amazingly the game actually starts right up and after fixing one bent relay switch, it works pretty darn well!

Kinda cool, never worked on an EM this old!

Why don’t they still staple THIS inside pinball machines??? I know hundreds of operators and private owners who need this reminder every time they open the game.

Can't beat the charm of an old mechanical backbox in a gottleib!

I saw that listing too. Glad you picked it up. And cool to hold it for a member. I LOVE Craigslist! It's like a box of chocolates!

Took a gamble on a WCS '94 on eBay that had a limited amount of pics and description. Turned out to be a real winner. The inside is dirty but in nearly perfect condition. The playfield looks new after some novus 2 (not shown in pics), and the plastics are all 100% with no cracks or chips. Really happy with it! Can't wait to get my Color DMD and shop job done (including LEDs), it's gonna be like a new machine.

I've been looking for another DMD for a while, so today I made a long distance phone call...

Cab is faded, but the playfield is absolutely top notch.

Funniest thing happened last night. I was playing my first game on Beat The Clock which is the only EM single player multi ball game and when I locked a ball in the star hole and it didn't kick another ball into the shooter lane I really thought it was broken. lol. hahaha. Joke's on me!

But besides that, definitely worth waiting for and certainly one of the best EMs I have owned. 1960s Williams to me are the best and stoked I finally found one of these in good shape..

Awesome. Love those flipper gaps

#13265 4 years ago
Quoted from chad:

Awesome. Love those flipper gaps

Yeah man! Before we even played it I cleaned off most of the dirt to reveal a super nice playfield. It had us scratching our heads why it was like that with the rest of the machine so clean and nice. Perhaps he did the restore several years ago and hadn't shopped it since then.

Those kickout holes fire the balls like cannon balls and the multiball feature is very unique and fun. The game is also very beautiful so I already give it a top 5 rating of all EMS. Most of the rest are Williams two inch flipper games too.

Do you make the same comment about Addam's Family? How about Twilight Zone? Flash? Firepower? Any of the other 12 machines that were produced in higher numbers than F-14?

This thread is about being excited about your new machine, no matter how many were produced.

Don't be a jerk.

i honestly understand the confusion. i retract my previous remark.

"been a minute" is a modern axiom. i'd guess ~40% of people on here never heard that before.

it was actually a complement, but too late now.

It’s what the hip kids are saying now. When I first started seeing it on the gram (Instagram), Twitter and such I couldn’t understand it. Then I realized it’s the next “thing” how we use words ironically. Such as “literally” as an exaggeration of figuratively or using “lit” as in hot, which itself meant popular. And now “minute” actually meaning a long amount of time has passed. Example “Been a minute since I last went to a pinball tournament” or “been a minute since my last break from Pinside” (I’ve been on everyday for over 2 years)

Yeah, I misunderstood the post, because I'm old. This should clear things up as well:

Been after this title for a couple of months, finally got one. Haven't decided if I'll keep the GI the way it is or not, research is needed first.

change it to cool white in the GI

#13288 4 years ago
Quoted from Tbpilot78:

Amazing shape and all works. Owner didn't have the keys, and it was unplugged. Said it worked, struck a deal and took it home. Plugged it in and put some quarters in it and off we went playing golf in the garage! lol

Took a while but opened it up from the back, got the two lock sets off and found about $5 worth of quarters still in it! (no coin tray, but a cool old cigar box!) and of course the manual was still inside too!..wow!

I took several photos, each has a black line across at different points, but they only show up in photos, you can't see them on the screen while playing or looking at it. (Part of the old style monitors I presume?)

I'll clean her up, play it some, then off to the market!

It’s been a minute since I saw a fad as dumb as saying “it’s been a minute” to mean it’s been years.....

Just got my first (and probably only) Back To The Future pinball machine! Picked in up this weekend and really excited about it! Got it more so to go with my Back To The Future collection, as opposed to a pinball collection. Either way its fun to play!

Thanks guys! Also brand new to the forum and the whole pinball world. Played a few games in the arcade as a kid but that's about the extent of it. And yeah, this is really just part of a Back To The Future collection piece...but I guess time will tell!
