This was a Facebook marketplace ad in Southern Ohio about 90 minutes from my house. I saw the ad at work minutes after it was posted and was the first to reply. The seller kept his word even though he received over 40 replies and with offers higher than his asking price. I did end up offering more than his asking price.
It’s not perfect, it has some planking and wear in the upper pf area, a few broken plastics but a lower playfield Mylar. It boots up but won’t start a game...sounds like a locked ball is not kicking out and is doing a ball search but the displays are not working so could be a power supply or display driver board issue. Should be a minor fix.
And it is the Marilyn version.
I was one of those replies!
Quoted from C_Presley:I was one of those replies!
I spent about two hours last night with the seller, breaking down the game, loading it up and talking about all kinds of things that we collect. His Facebook messenger alert was going off about every 10 minutes.

Are they both salvageable or is one for parts?

Uhhh...
Believe it or not for a game plan MPU that's not too bad. Also I ONLY took pics of the corrosion.

I recommend don't use them. Ever. But I got my games.[quoted image][quoted image]
Wow JFC, hope your game was repairable
That’s some UPS-level handling.

Even Michael Jackson gave better white glove service.

How mad can you be if you end the day with a skill roll, though?

Remains to be seen. They both seem complete.

That’s good to hear. But I did find the white glove worker that packed your games in case you’re interested

Thanks! I had a Triple Action, but I sold it because my wife and I like to compete. Ever since then I’ve been thinking about Star Pool, because it’s very similar and a four-player.

Is he in Wisconsin? I've heard the rest of pinside has been looking for him too.

wow,i was thinking about using sti...have a game to ship from indiana to california, any alternatives other than uship and fastenal?
Quoted from pinostalgia:wow,i was thinking about using sti...have a game to ship from indiana to california, any alternatives other than uship and fastenal?
STI is the way to go. I have shipped dozens of pins with no problems. Why would someone want to spend hours palletizing or crating for Fastenal to save a hundred bucks?
The problem with STI is you get random crews that sometimes know what to do and sometimes they are like a deer in the headlights. It all comes down to how you have them wrap the machine. I supervise and help them to make sure it is done properly, I even have extra stretch film and blankets on hand just in case. Wrap the shit out of it like a cocoon( use stretch all around outside over blankets) and try and double blanket it, tighten leg bolts and lower levelers all the way(it will be fine) -Good luck
Quoted from finnflash:How do you know how many were built per year?
And what does it matter?
It's just a beautiful machine, congrats!
Quoted from BenB:Finally got this moved from my wishlist to my basement! “The Storm Is Coming!!”[quoted image]
Now get out!
Quoted from JayDee:Is that the blanket from your white glove delivery?
I threw those stinky things in the trash.
Quoted from o-din:Playfield's a little dirty but the rest shows real pride of ownership.[quoted image][quoted image]
Nice looking game there, congratulations on your new game.
Quoted from finnflash:How do you know how many were built per year?
The Mr. Pinball guide book has all that data.
Quoted from pudealee:I really would like to find a good old EM with a manual ball lift. Memories!
