Speaking of “Galaxy Sized”...
Picked up this for cheap and I foolishly thought it would be similar to a Pinball...
FIVE HUNDRED AND THIRTY POUNDS LATER I don’t think I’ll ever buy a soda machine again..[quoted image]

What the hell?

There must be some mistake, , ,

Brought home a game from my wishlist today, and a HUO copy at that! It turned out to be a 16 hour drive and I didn’t get home till 5:30am, but it was worth it.
It’s in amazing shape. I’m the second owner now. The previous one bought it brand new in 2006, brought it into his basement in its shipping crate, and it was there for 13 years until today.
He said he played it a couple times, realized he preferred his Harlem globetrotters pin a lot more, and barely touched monopoly again after that. And I believe him. It looks factory fresh.
The seller never put that it was HUO or that it was barely ever played in the ad, so that was definitely a nice surprise.
It’s my first stern, and it plays beautifully!

Nice pickup! I enjoyed Monopoly for the time that I had one. Yours looks absolutely amazing!

If I can make a suggestion: Put a piece of mylar underneath the wireform ramp from the railroad shot. That always gets messed up from the ball slamming down when it drops.

Enjoy!

#12959 4 years ago

Nice find. I owned Monopoly for a time and I enjoyed it. It’s a bit underrated Pat Lawlor game that features some fun shots. Cash grab!!!

Well, after months of bringing home trashed projects I wanted to spoil myself with a fully functioning, ready to play game....I went with a classic, its the 3rd time I have owned this title and I always enjoy when I have one in the line-up.
Decent playfield, trashed cab and head but overall a solid machine.
It has the police light topper, it just needs to be put on...

I finally found one and it was only a five hour round trip! It needs a cleaning, wax and new rubbers. There is some play field wear, not the end of the world for me on this one.

Looks to be an excellent example.

There is a guy on the EM “Looking for parts” thread needing good scans of 8 Ball plastics. Can you hook a brother up?

At what point does it make sense to ship? No pun intended.

Maniacs.

Quoted from RonSS:

Honestly I would have shipped it but the prior owner had no idea how to do anything to the pin despite having owned it for 15 years since new. I didn’t think he’d be able to safely palletize and ship it so I was left with driving out to get it.

There have been a couple beaters around here, but I would rather wait until I could find one in comparable condition to yours.

In my experience, Williams is the king of multiplayer short flipper EMs because of their competitive nature and close scoring between players, and this one is highly touted as one of the best ones due to it's ball to ball memory, similar to Pit Stop which has always been one of my top games.

i'm in no hurry though, one will pop up eventually. Again, congrats!

Does that Eros One have a key fob on it that’s a white plastic shaped one? I sold one 12 years ago, and it still makes its rounds in the area on Craigslist for sale...

Managed to score a very nice AFM last friday, and I've been too busy playing to post. Original recleared playfield (with some ghosting in a few inserts), new decals, mirror blades and remote battery holder. I still can't quite believe I managed to land such an awesome game. 4 hours away at 2nd cousin's wedding yesterday, my oldest brother tells me of an older SS pin at an Antique store that he found early that morning. We left the reception a bit early to check it out. It was labeled with '$250 firm' but walked out with it for $50 plus $4.20 in local sales tax.

MPU board has battery corrosion, especially around the ground plane and currently it does not boot. I'm going to start with sanding the corrosion, replace damaged parts, and fixing damaged traces to see if I can revive this board. The front cabinet has some 'water' damage, but I have no doubt I can find another good used donor cabinet. The backglass has very few minor scratches and the playfield is decent for its age.
