Quoted from dmbjunky:

It snowed in Arizona? Weird.

It snowed in Prescott, Arizona, 5400+ ft. elevation. It wasn't sleet or wet snow, it was pellet snow about the size of BBs. I live in Tucson, where, maybe, we will get snow once a year. It was weird. It was early November and even weirder, it snowed the hardest when we were trying to get the Black Knight up a 30 foot hill over wood, mud and flat stepping stones. Snow on the sloped wood made it like a skating rink. I don't know how we all survived without slipping. I am blessed to have such friends.

Quoted from dmbjunky:

I'd like to play one of those someday.

The next time you are in Arizona look me up. It would be fun to share Future Spa with a fellow Pinsider.

somebody needs to re-theme hard body as a Bruce & Caitlin Jenner machine

I always knew I down this game eventually. It just worked out today. Call it stupid, say it's crap, I don't care. I just laugh when the Multiball starts.

No - scored this one off of craiglist. PF is literally perfect. Needs shopped though. I don't think he ever took the glass off the game in the 15 years he had it.

I'm actually pretty excited to play it and learn it. Doesn't play like any other game I have and it's fast! Always good to learn to plan on a different sort of style game.

Fun game, terrible translite. Always reminded me of T2.

I actually like the translate. I think the play field is what's super ugly.

Wrestlemania LE. Not today...but, Saturday.

TWD was a month ago.

I want to put these in my main row, but don't want to move 16 games to accomplish it. Completely a first world problem, that's for sure.

Pete

Nice Pete! I want your problems!

Cool thread!

Quoted from Pecos:

The Black Knight was the only machine on my Wishlist. I am so excited to have this one in my collection.

So awesome!!! Nice nab, Pecos!

Finally, my family and I made an interstate pick-up for one of my art-grail pins this past weekend:

A HUO 1964 Bally "Hay-Ride" (only 250 produced). *Still beaming*

...and for anyone interested in an exhaustive recount of the pick-up:

That's one I haven't seen before. You're right though, that art is awesome. Anything special on the cabinet like farm animals?

That backglass is ridiculously awesome. I love the farmers with the 4 hot model chicks swooning over them while he's playing a flippin' banjo.

Same banjo player and same 4 hot model chicks in the second wagon?

Not especially. These next pix are from IPDB, not my own (because I'm lazy).

Some stylized pumpkins on the cab:

...and a stern-looking farmer on the back box:

hr2.jpghr2.jpg

Upset about his daughters interest in the local banjo player?

Cracks me up every time I look at it!

Ha-ha! I think you might be right! Gotta take a closer look at that tonight!

Brought home this 1972 Bally Space Time yesterday. An older gentleman in town put this up on Craigslist several months ago for $1,000. I went, took a look, and explained to him the actual value, but he wasn't ready to get rid of it just then. I kept in contact with him over the summer and we ended up trading for a cheap Japanese skill-stop slot machine I had in my basement that never got played. Needs some love, but overall in pretty decent shape. Backglass is incredible.

I FINALLY get to take part in this thread!

Got my hands on a Double-Shuffle yesterday. I've never seen a woodrail before but man this thing is cool! Everything works and looks to be in decent condition IMO.

Special thanks to Gotguy for his help shedding light on this rare machine.

Not a rare find like some of the other pins that have followed me home, but I ended up grabbing a High Speed. It seems to be mostly working, but is unfortunately missing the backglass. If anyone has one or knows where I might be able to find one, let me know

The playfield has some minor wear that can be touched up, the boards are clean, and the cabinet is nice. It also looked like it had the topper plastic, but was broken off at some point.

P.S. After looking at your photos a little closer, it appears as though that Vampire is in great shape, too! I've always wanted to play one of these, but never seen one in person. More accolades on your pick-up!

Thanks, it's in better shape than I am and I'm only a year older. I was surprised when I read reviews, how many people hated the artwork. I think it's a beautiful game.

Ha-ha! ...I guess that means you got played harder? Regardless, what a find on a beautiful, low-run game.

Seriously! I've read the hate as well and I can't really wrap my head around it. Sure, there's a lot of ink slurried around that backglass, but I like that dark and sketchy vibe. It's on my wish list as well. Enjoy it!

I picked up this Gottlieb Buccaneer from 1948 off a craigslist ad today. It was about a half hour drive each way. Pretty darn good shape for being almost 70 years old I'd say.
