I’m sorry fellas.... but, what is the meaning of "EM" please?
Quoted from Rolls-Royce:I’m sorry fellas.... but, what is the meaning of "EM" please?
EM = Electro-Mechanical pinball machine. SS = Solid State pinball machine.
Quoted from Dallas_Pin:‘HUO’ Bally Playboy with custom instruction cards ... probably just a fuse will get it going. [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
I have ones that were done back in the day on Night Rider with a typewriter, just something cool about it that someone took the time to do it on 3 x 5 card stock.
Quoted from Multiballmaniac1:2013 Trek Premium. My 2002 4Runner started shuttering as I pulled up to sellers house. Coil pack misfire, check engine light came on half way home. I was like oh boy. But I made it. Great SUV for pinballs, gets fixed Monday.[quoted image]
Super cheap & easy fix. I did my wife's Sienna for under $30
So stoked about this one.
Technically it’s at my folk’s place in Buffalo, but a sincere thanks to Pinballer67 for delivering this Eight Ball Deluxe LE with a gorgeous original playfield across the border.
Super pleasant and positive guy to deal with who really went the extra mile for a low dollar deal.
Can’t wait for Fast Eddie to do the rest
7C288097-B0D5-43E7-98F4-5C8C15CDC7B0 (resized).jpegSell this to me. Forget Fast Eddie I’ll pick it up in Buffalo. Haha. Or maybe go play it before it leaves! Congrats on the pickup!

Quoted from northerndude:First EM. Nice shape I think[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Very nice! Great first game too, I'm sure you will enjoy it.
Quoted from RonSS:Met a really nice guy today. Pinball brings out the good in people.[quoted image]
A-go-go, very nice.
Quoted from plowpusher:Just a few more things to work out but this Totem is real nice.
Wow that is in fabulous shape, you right you got a good deal there!
Quoted from glasairpilot:Seller also had a monopoly "LE" that I had to bring home.
Cool, what deed is it?
Nice pick up! Damn those are big machines, glad I'm not moving them.....good luck and don't forget to post pics once in place in your game room.

Appears to be the Income Tax edition. Lol, story of my life.

Whats different? Armour? something else on game?

Chrome legs and lock down bar, chrome T-molding, alternate trans light insert, a plaque, and I'm not sure what else. He bought it new. I have owned Monopoly twice and sold them each time I moved. I'm going to keep this one.
He had already installed color DMD and had a new LED-OCD board, LED lights, lit flipper buttons, and some other goodies I will install. Pretty much in perfect condition. Play field needs a good cleaning.

Sweet, exterior looks to be in pristine condition.
Mine is an "undoc huo" if you want to use that dumb saying, with basically zero wear. No hint that a coin was ever dropped in it.
Brought home a Williams #High Speed. It has definitely seen better days but it is operational for the most part. I just finished installing NVRAM on the CPU and got the game to boot and play. There was zero battery acid corrosion! I was very happy about that and all the boards in the head unit look great.
Issues now are the top left score display tube is not working. Did some preliminary diagnostics and swapped the ribbon cable to the top right driver board connector and still did not work. So I assume it is the actual display that is bad. Will pull the display off the back board and check out all the components and solder joints. If that does not work, does anyone know if these display parts are available? They are all original as they have the original SN sticker and all match.
Next issue is I may have a weak PS. I checked the 5 volt on the CPU and got 4.95volts. I say this because the flippers will not flip a ball at all and the sling shots work but about 1/2 power. Need to investigate that next.
The owner just wanted it out of his garage, it was his Ex's. $150.00 and I was out of there and did not look back.
UPDATE:
started checking voltages and had good voltages through the flipper rectifier board all the way to the flipper solenoids. The problem is the EOS switches. They are toast and not letting any power to the solenoids. I sanded on them and the flippers came to life. Looks like a flipper rebuild kit is on the to order list.

Nice work!! Love hear of a great score like this, especially knowing it will go into good hands that will bring it back to new (if not better). Good luck with the project.
Thanks @rlbohon3. I definitely have lots more to do but I am off to a good start. Gonna be a good project for sure.
Got the F355s going. Everything works as it should. I took all the peals out and properly cleaned and greased them. Amazingly clean machines.
Will work on Monopoly next.

Great fireworks at the arch, good BBQ, and a dream pin from when I was a kid. Thanks ccbiggsoo7 for the good work on this one.
IMG_20190706_114812593 (resized).jpgIMG_20190706_114819042 (resized).jpgPicked up a nice Spanish Eyes close to home. Not my first choice in the art department but for $100 I couldn't say no. She lights up and stats a game but blows a fuse if you trigger a pop or the kickout. Will do some investigating this weekend.

I was next in line (supposedly). Notice I didn't offer more money to kick you to the curb.

Must have been a different one? This one was a unlisted pickup.

Yea, The craigslist add said $500 obo. I looked at the pictures and sent an email saying I would pay at most $150.00. The pictures made it look rather rough. He called me back and said he would take $200.00. I told him I would come look at it. It was only 20 minutes from my house. We chatted a bit when I went over to see it. The pin would only light the GI lighting and there was an error that said "FAILURE" on the right Alpha-numberic display. Turns out the left display was not working and it would have read ADJUST FAILURE. He was not a pinball guy and did not want to spend the money to get it operating 100%. I told him I would give him $150.00 and he took it. I probably could have got it for less but $150 is a great deal. The mechanics of the game are in great shape (boards, wires, etc) just needs a real good cleaning and a handful of fixes. Probably about $500 worth of parts to get her in great shape.
I really lucked out on this one. Probably the best deal I will ever find.

I would have gave him $500. Looks pretty good. Btw lrosent345 has a deal on Xpin displays. I bought a set for my Pinbot.

I am going to try to get an original tube display. If it becomes too much work I may switch over to the aftermarket display setup.
Fun EM. Guy had never had the coin door open (no key) and he has 3 28 inch legs and 1 30 inch leg on it so it sits a little crazy. Drilled lock and had it going pretty quickly. Rubber kit on the way and need to clean 1 more score reel. Had to completely tear down ball count stepper and clean but good to go now. Seems to be a possible lighting issue on playfield matrix but I am hoping it is just bulbs.
20190709_080446 (resized).jpg20190709_080603 (resized).jpgCrazy 23 hour roundtrip to new jersey and back with 4 hours of sleep in the middle to get a sweet black knight from an awesome pinsider @rvalkenburg. My pops 75 years old was my wingman and kept me laughing and alert the entire way. Great zany memory for me and him. Black knight is an iconic pin for me and was definitely worth the trip.

You are very privileged... for the past 22 years I wish that my Dad was here besides me in this trip.
Very nice game, enjoy!
