Donkey Kong! Such an awesome game and a must for a collector. I've gone through some arcades, and it's the only one that I won't let go.

10 hour road trip today and came home with 4 projects and 2 working games. That and the one delivered earlier this week and it’s been a good week over all!

Awesome game. I’ve wanted one ever since I played my buddy Bruce’s ZNET and
NicoVolta ‘s cherry example at York last year. An EM with a light show on the inserts...spectacular.

Congrats on the beautiful AS pro! I had one last year and I miss it a lot. The art package is really incredible. Will you add mods? They have some really fun mods for AS. I love the DD blades Stern offers for that pin. Really completes the art around the playfield. Enjoy!

Yep! I contacted the seller 20 minutes after posting, and he said there were still people ahead of me. Somehow I got lucky the other 2 people ahead backed out.
The game needs a little more work than I had anticipated, but it boots and plays just fine. Figured I’d never see another AFM priced that well, so I pulled the trigger on it.
I plan on doing a playfield swap and re-decal the cabinet. Ordered new ramps and a plastic set. When all is said and done, I’ll probably just be a little under what it’d cost to buy a NIB one, but I’m super stoked about having an original. That alone makes it worth it to me.

I've really never been one for heavy modding, so I think for now I'll just enjoy the "factory freshness" and pure state of the game as shipped. Later on I plan to gradually work over the GI to make it easier to look at for long periods (my 50-y/o eyes are a bit more light-sensitive than they used to be). Probably some Comet 1SMD warm whites or something like that to try to attain a more natural look. I'm already making subtle tweaks to the various LED brightness levels in the game adjustments. Some rubber upgrades will also be in order in due time which, of course, allows for color experimentation (Superbands, Titans, etc.).

Thanks gents! It's been a game I've always loved. I played it to death when it was in the Bayview Inn down in Wildwood Crest when we'd vacation down there. I never added it to my wishlist simply because I never thought I'd ever find one in my price range, and as gorgeous as the remakes are, I really like the idea of owning an original. Can't wait to dig into it!

Go Pirates! And yes. Long history. A friend of mine played for EC (Tommy pounds ). He told me when they came to Huntington for a game , they took the entire team to the memorial. Class act. Life is short - play pinball when you can !

It's a players condition, but the price was right and I don't mind spending a bit of money shopping it to my liking.
