I suppose a bit of Pin Karma must have led me to this one, or the lucky sheep blanket was working its own magic .

I inquired about an online listing for this game, only to find out that someone else had bought the machine (as usually happens). Today I get a call from the guy that bought the original game, says he already had one but his original was in worse shape and wanted to know if I'd like to buy it (as you can see, I did ).

The good -- I did not have to drive as far and this game cost less.
The bad -- We had to bring this one up from the basement and the door at the top of the stairs was installed after the game had been down there. Glad I ate my Wheaties this morning. . . I held the pin on the stairs while the seller pulled the door frame out. Someday I will buy a pinball machine that does not involve stairs, sharp turns, or disassembly, just not today!

Thanks to fellow pinsider and northern Vermonter, Scoot, telling me he'd gone to Jersey for an Earthquake, I decided to check the mid Atlantic for sale forum. First day I see a DH for trade and on the list is JP. Great, I'm terrible at the one I've had over a year. Deal struck and before I ask is he wants to meet half way between Vermont & Delaware, because I wasn't sure that was a think, he ask me. Great. 5 hours one way, 5 minutes to swap in a Walmart parking lot merely because it was close to the exit, and we're off for another 5 houi. Even though we parted at 12:30, I still have 100 miles to go. I had to stop at a great place in Turner's Calls, Ma, Mystic Pinball. If you ever get up there, check them out. Now I'm in a BBQ joint for a quick bite. I always tell myself I'll wait until the morning to unload, but it never happens, no matter how late.

When you have your own pinball operator business, you bring home different kinds of machines than the standard ones often seen on this thread:

DSC_0690 (resized).JPGDSC_0690 (resized).JPG

I drove 12 hours round-trip with a couple of my friends to pick this up near Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The price was right, but I don't know when or if I will be able to get this working.

Love that blue! You usually only see these in brown.

Is it a project if the game works?

Congrats! Mystic is awesome, with great sound effects. Definitely one of my games I should’ve never sold. Looks pretty decent other than the fact that somebody took black paint to the cabinet.

Thanks! Spent probably an hour or more playing today and couldn't walk away. Perhaps just the honeymoon phase but so many times I was so close to lighting the complete grid or maxing the captive ball before draining. . . had to go back and try again. It could use a flipper rebuild, the drop targets are filthy and mismatched, and half the bulbs are out; I'm already envisioning tearing everything apart for a rebuild but need to remember I have several other projects to get to first.

Playfield is definitely dirty (after my attempt at cleaning) and worn but Mystic is still fun to play!

Very fun.. So far it is a big hit with the family and friends. Lots of replay value . 1 player is vs AI is good challenge .

We play winner stays until you lose on 2 player when we have groups. So far it a winner!

I don’t want to highjack this thread here,.My wife took this on one of the first games. Had not got sound effects and in game music dialed in yet. I have now, is great. I am amazed at build quality and weight to it. Very very pleased early on.

Well... my empty slot lasted a whopping three whole days. Great restraint on my part, as usual haha.

Anyways, DEAD row is a thing now... and man, this game is just stupidly fun to play!

I don't think I've ever seen a full scale Operation game before. Are they all redemption machines?

Space Station came home today to fill my third and final spot. Put this collection together over the last six months. It was a blast searching them all out and met some great people along the way. Now maybe I can spend more time playing pinball instead of looking for pinball.
