Went out on a roadtrip for him for a HUO POTC. Looked brand new, tastely modded and had a colordmd installed. Price was neat so we went back home happy

Did you buy it from another collector, or somehow score this in the wild from a non pinball person wanted to clear out a basement? Either way, great find!!

Quoted from fast1981:

I tend to have a hard time believing it when someone says something like "Only 100 plays" but man just from that one pick that thing looks minty clean. The lockdown bar looks like it just came out of a box and the coin door is perfect. Nice score.

Not a whole machine but a swep1 playfield conversion kit with bugger all games played on it. With space being a problem I can have two games and only the one cabinet. Perfect!

Came from a non collector (pictures posted were from the seller). Story is that he owned a business that supplied electronic components to game plan. Game plan put this machine at his office as part of their ‘testing.’ Somehow, he took ownership and brought it home where it sat until I bought it

#10820 5 years ago
Quoted from MiamiRedSkin:

I'm glad that it's now in the hands of someone who's passionate about preserving it! You never know what's going to happen with games that are in the hands of non-collectors.

Quoted from mbaumle:

In all honesty, I don't have the room anymore to keep it, so it will probably be up on the chopping block when I get around to it. I would love to keep it given the crazy history Space constraints are a bummer

#10822 5 years ago
Quoted from MiamiRedSkin:

Man... That stinks. I'd have probably tried to make room for it. It's not every day you get to say your collection includes something so monumentally rare. Hopefully the person you pass it on to is willing to take good care of it.

How long did that take?!

#10828 5 years ago
Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:

How long did that take?!

Driving time on the way there was about 9 hours. The weather was a little better on the way back which took about 7 hours, which I did the next day. Friday night I was playing pinball at AYCE Gogi in Los Angeles before taking the red eye back. It was a full weekend of travel and pins.

"Not a whole machine but a swep1 playfield conversion kit with bugger all games played on it. With space being a problem I can have two games and only the one cabinet. Perfect!"

How hard is it to swap these games out? Whats the timeframe of doing so? I assume its not a simple swap and play?

It takes about 5 mins at the moment. I have a new cpu coming so I don’t have to swap the prism card and daughter board out each time but it is still quite easy.

Craigslist find 5 minutes from my house - and the backglass disk still works!
