Quoted from chalkup8:

Nice arrival, interesting to see the added spotlights.

Thanks! It had all 3 spotlights mounted above the left sling when I got it. I thought that it was too bright so I removed them all. Then I thought it looked too dark so I put them back in but in different places. I still want to tone them down a little though.

Brought home a Police Force today, one that seems to have stood through some tough battles in the line of duty. It'll be a fun restoration project though!

On a side note, my truck nearly blew a water pump on the way home. Found an oily substance splattered throughout the engine compartment, and the pump (and radiator fan) wobbling like a frick during a test run of the engine. The disturbing thing is I wouldn't have known anything was wrong until a catastrophic failure - but the truck was parked in the snow while unloading the game and the spilled fluid clued us in that something was amiss.

Since CPR upped their price to $899 ($849 pre-order price). I just bought a NOS one off ebay at $1000. Some insert cupping, and one raised arrow, all of which will be addressed before eventually clear coating.

Old repair dude sold me a bunch of his NOS parts. I think I paid $120-$150 for lot, which I recover pretty fast by selling only a few pieces.

What shape is the playfield surface in? If it's decent then I'd almost like to hit you up to swap for mine before you sand it down.

Edit: Hmm, you're in Germany. Might be expensive to do such a thing.

Playfield is down to the wood in many places anyway.

Negative. That is not serial # 4, it’s model # 4. Time Machine was DE’s 4th machine produced. It’s the 14,251 machine made by them.

Data East kept using the same serial number schema all the way to the end.

Stern does the same to this day.

I had pinball on my mind this morning. I left Tucson to pick up a Bally classic solid state pin from my San Tan Valley Project Pin Guy. Only a few miles from my house I heard, "The Six Million Dollar Man here", or some such words part of a sales pitch for a Honda car on the radio. I was dumb with astonishment and amazement which bordered upon stupefaction. Did I just hear what I thought I heard?

A few miles out of town and I passed a road called Pinal Air Park Road. Hmm, with a 'b' here and an 'l' there it would be Pinball Air Park Road! Yes, I had pinball on my mind all day today.

And this is the surprise that my San Tan Project Pin Guy had for me today - one of the few six player games made:

day_1_full (resized).jpg

DSCF4137 (resized).JPG

DSCF4129 (resized).JPG

She is a little rough around the edges but I can rebuild her; I have the technology! She still has her original bionic battery, non-leaking. More amazement!

DSCF4136 (resized).JPG

Seriously though, she boots up and it won't be long before she will be gracing another business here in Tucson.

Yes, I had pinball on my mind today, still do as a matter of fact!
