Quoted from brenna98:Picked up my second Sonic.
Amazing how similar thay are to Zaccaria’s.

You mean "Amazing how similar Sonic and Zaccaria are to Williams."
Quoted from matiou:My first solid state! I'm so excited
[quoted image]
Perfect for starter ss game.
Quoted from MikeO:You mean "Amazing how similar Sonic and Zaccaria are to Williams."
No. That would imply that Williams has amazing playfields with clearcoat that holds up today. Beautiful backglasses and screen printed cabinets.
I suspect they licensed the mechanical parts inside from Williams though...
Quoted from Pinsterwmass:Not cheap but will look nice when cleaned up!

Great game! Enjoy and get th colordmd!
Quoted from Pinsterwmass:I’m thinking LED’s , green kegs and lockdown bar.
I would have thought 1 keg was enough, but I like your style!
Quoted from Colsond3:LMAO
If you’re ever in the area, let me know and swing by for a few games. Or try to catch up with me at York...I’ll be sporting this sack.
[quoted image]
Would like to do both, or at least catch up with you in York! Just have been a fan of your posts and collection, with me being a "mature" pinhead!
Picked this one up last night less than a mile from my house. It has been with the same owner since 2003. It is in amazing condition. Cannot wait to enjoy it this weekend.

Ooooooh, that is sexy!
Quoted from Pinsterwmass:No need for a cup holder when you have a keg or two.
WTF?
73E7CAF0-EB09-45FF-AF68-6F3EACF4A516 (resized).jpegOur first machine. Amazing Spider-Man. It's even... mostly... working. They seller said if we buy the Spider-man, we had to take the "other" machine too. It turned out to be a non-working pretty rough Gaucho. Can't argue with free though!

Was that the one listed for $200? Looked decent
Quoted from radium:Was that the one listed for $200? Looked decent
Yes and it is. He had it listed for $199 I found a quarter in the game so I gave $198.75 for it. It’s going to clean up nice.

LMAO, offer still stands
I was lucky enough to have my neighbor grab this for me last night since I was working. Same machine I believe that was on Craigslist a month or more ago. But this time it finally came to fruition. Including a spare playfield. Definitely a project.

Especially if you were wearing anything that contained metal.
Quoted from Agent_Hero:This arrived a few days ago and it needed a new DMD. I do not question its coin. Trying to find the right color for now until it is full color.

Eskimo brothers! I don’t question it’s coin either. Stoked that I was able to get my minty TNT refurbed BF back today that I had sold last year.

Which TNT video is yours? Their 15 minute video on Batman Forever where the explain the rules about 7 minutes in was really useful for me. Only issue so far on mine is that the cave and it's ramp are sitting a slight bit too far forward so sometimes the ball drops down and lands in front of the switch. I've been trying to re-secure the ramp since there is a bit of back and forth play to its mounting. It's a fun game, but wow it's a puzzle to take all of the ramps off to swap rubbers/lights/clean up the back of the playfield.
Quoted from Agent_Hero:Which TNT video is yours?
Todd’s vid #851 I think. I added speaker lights, flip bats, Titan rubbers and changed some of the LEDs. That’s about it though.
Quoted from Agent_Hero:but wow it's a puzzle to take all of the ramps off to swap rubbers/lights/clean up the back of the playfield.
Yes it is a complicated PF. There was a guy selling one on CL for quite some time that was in a bunch of boxes. He said “I didn’t have time to get back to it”, but clearly he had disassembled it and had no idea how to put it back together. And he still wanted $2400.

Quoted from Playdium:This Game Plan Super Nova followed me home. What is recommended for initial cleaning for this play field?
[quoted image]
Older playfields, early dmds (pre diamond coat) and all early ss and EMs are succeptable to water damage, leading to planking. Novus contains water, but naphtha does not contain water. You can buy naphtha at any home improvement store in the paint aisle.
Naphtha will not damage your playfield, but chemically it’s similar to lighter fluid so don’t smoke around it’s use. It’s safe to use indoors but wear gloves and make sure there is some air circulation like a fan. After cleaning the playfield don’t put the playfield glass back on for an hour so the naphtha can air out
Quoted from entomophile:Found this Rawhide locally for a good deal. Backglass is great, some missing paint on playfield, and some mechanical issues to work out but I'm looking forward to playing this one. I may be hitting up the forum for some help

My dad bought that game when i was a kid.First pin i played and i played the hell out of it.

Glad you picked that up, it was calling me and I didn't feel like making the drive.
Quoted from bluespin:Naphtha will not damage your playfield, but chemically it’s similar to lighter fluid so don’t smoke around it’s use.
You can also use CP100. Also not water based, and used real lightly with magic eraser you can get up ball swirls half the time.
Thanks everyone for sharing your pics of your awesome pins you brought home today! I love the Amazing Spider-Man find for $200. Now THAT's amazing. I finally found this gorgeous, full mods Tron pro with all the toys and features. Traded my brand new MET with 113 plays for it, because my wife and I have wanted one for awhile! It was in Texas, tho, so had to wait 5 weeks for it to move to Chicago. Thanks, Eddie! Drove to the Windy City today and dropped off MET and picked up this amazing machine. If only I could keep them both!

Seems like you got an early or even a sample machine. Only a few FH were shipped with those wide Sys11 style siderails.
V_piscopo, I hate those filthy #?/@'s. But hats off to you for that finished machine. That and Card Whiz are some of my favorite Gottlieb's. Well done!
Quoted from V_piscopo:I hope those dirty mice enjoy their new home as much as I will enjoy their old home.

I just pulled pounds of mouse crap out of a Royal Flush. They love those things
