Saving one classic at a time!
Quoted from RonSS:Nice FrankMac! I'm still on the fence over DP. Seems as though everyone is pretty happy with it though.
With all those machines you must need some room. You should probably sell me your Secret Service
It is almost yours!! Hope all is well!!
Pictured below is my 'new' Aztec. It's waiting to be picked up and transported from the second hand store that I discovered it in to my home. I visit this store quite often and was quite thrilled to find a pinball machine there.
The reason why it's on wheels is very interesting: this pinball machine is 'famous'! Aztec's owner before it came to the second hand store was the Dutch Opera and Ballet in Amsterdam (https://www.operaballet.nl/en). It's had multiple stage appearances.
Tommy was obviously the first play that appeared in my mind, although I'm not sure if that has ever been performed at the opera house. That, and this machine still has its backglass. Anyhow: I hope it has overcome it's stage fright and will soon sing again.
Quoted from erak:Not pinball. But cool. Picked it up last week.

HOLY DUDE, you got your Pong? Were you in on Kickstarter or just went out a bought it? I believe Player1 is the distributor here. I got in on the KS and still waiting patiently.
PKG # 11 !?!?!
Quoted from V_piscopo:BARN FIND! Looks like these mice are going to need a new home. Will actually clean up real nice!
[quoted image][quoted image]
My RF was full of mice too. Only 8 chewed wires and all but 2 of the inserts fell out. Will clean up nice once I get it working

A friend and I players one of those Pongs at Pinfest. Fun to play and looks so cool. Congrats!
Quoted from woodmedic:I had a great weekend. Did some trading and ended up with these two beauties!
[quoted image][quoted image]
Ummm. Yeah..... I would say that was a great weekend!
Quoted from djreddog:Mostly! The proposal was done during the First State Flippers August Annihilation event on 8/4/18. 50 people in attendance, mostly middle aged, haha. Although we had about 10 women in attendance that day along with 2 of our kids who were all playing in the tournament. It was quite the surprise. Below is a short clip of the proposal recorded by the local newspaper.
Her shirt makes it even better!! “No mistakes, just happy accidents”
Perfection!
Quoted from ForceFlow:Picked up this rare title at an auction. Although, it has a Farfalla backglass instead of Magic Castle for some reason. It also came with $7 in quarters in the coin box. That's the highest amount I've found in a game so far. [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
The stickers on that bad boy are amazing. Who in the hell slaps bumper stickers on their machine?!

She is just so much fun. Definitely unique!

I'm just lucky they were mindful enough to stick them on the siderail rather than the cabinet itself.

Wow, that’s gotta be rare, handicap accessible pinball. Pretty dang sweet.
Quoted from RazorV23:Brought this home last week....[quoted image]
WOW They actually sold it. There is a pinsider who was trying to purchase it so he could put it in a children's hospital but they weren't interested. If I can find his name I'll send it to you

It took some convincing but I got it for a bit less than there asking. After shopping, it’s gonna to go to a local charity called Spinners for a bit then maybe to a local hospital.
Quick pick up this morning and had to get to the day job so I'll get full setup pics later (sorry !!!). Had to drill the lock, quick review shows Diamond Plate playfield, mouse droppings, a little battery damage, some suspicious wiring repairs but in otherwise decent condition.

Yes, it was I. My father was confined to a wheelchair my entire life, at least since I was the age of two, from a horrific motorcycle accident. I was certainly appreciative of how somebody had manipulated the pin to make it handicap-accessible. I wanted to do some good with it.
I messaged the guy through eBay quite a few times explaining my intentions, and only offering him slightly less than what he wanted. He literally called me an asshole and told me to go pound sand, as he “knew that the game was worth much more than he was asking.” Once he said “I don’t care where you’re putting it or what you plan to do with the game“ I was done with him. I think I posted his messages somewhere on here, but don’t remember off the top of my head.
Either way, glad you were able to grab it Razor and that you plan on doing some good things with it.
If you are ever done with it and would like to pass it on for some additional use at a children’s hospital or other charity, let me know.

I appreciate that, although I’m sure it doesn’t pale in comparison to what I normally tell people about you.

Wow that’s incredibly neat! I had never heard of such a thing before. So awesome someone thought of that.
Was that an aftermarket thing, or did they partner with Gottlieb to do that? Was Mario the only pin ever converted for accessibility? Curious too, what does that front panel do?
