Quoted from sunnRAT:

Yep, I'm loving it. I had never played it before, I bought it based on the reviews saying that it's a challenging game with lots of different stuff to do (well and the theme of course!). It is definitely that- I put the settings on "hard" and it was kicking my ass at first, but after playing it for probably 10 hours over the last two days I'm finally starting to get somewhere. Love the callouts too- "Looks like I owe ya one, meathead!"

Me and my brother had a pinball adventure yesterday. I finally got a theatre of magic in the lineup and he bought a Twilight zone. Both machines are complete just really dirty. Both will clean up nicely

Picked up my first pin...a TSPP! Went on a 1060 mile round trip road trip to pick it up, but well worth it for an amazing machine.

A TSPP, no wonder you have that grim on your face

Enjoy it and the best mod is a color display, Pin2dmd or Colordmd.

I agree...color dmd was a huge selling point! Nuclear side rails, aliens, yellow t molding, and even a duff cup holder helped too. Now to add even more fun to the party...thinking tv, treehouse, and a topper!

Colson, you are an absolute machine. I’d be insanely jealous of you but I’m actually on my way to pick up a game myself. Can’t wait to see what you got.

Absolutely. Going to combine it with the one I have, and I have a few people interested in getting the remaining game. That one will still be in nice condition.

Colson is a cool guy, got the chance to meet him at Allentown. I don't post in this thread often but he is impressed by the number of games I get. I've bought 7 in the past 2 weeks with a broken foot

1974 Bally Champ non-working from a FB post. Ad was only up for 30 minutes and I was out the door. Offered and paid more than asking price to allow me to nab it. Kind of a mixed bag...previous owner repainted the cabinet and it looks good but failed to remove and fill 3 bolts from a hasp on the cabinet. Did a good job on the body graphics (almost looks like vinyl) but did not do the head graphics. BG has missing paint. PF has wear at pops and minor planking. Should clean up very well. Finding a Bally within a 2 hour drive is always a win-win.

I left this morning at 6:45 to pick up two pins in Oro Valley to deliver to my San Tan Valley Project Pin Guy. I came prepared for the heat:

  • Cooler 1/3 full of ice
  • 16 oz. diet 7-Up
  • 64 oz. diet Pepsi
  • 'BUCKMASTERS' cap

I used my personally designed personal air conditioner, some ice cubes under the 'BUCKMASTERS' cap to keep cool. It worked well, until the ice cubes melted.

I delivered the two pins to my Project Pin Guy and picked one up. It's a 'mix and match Magic Municipalities:'

  • Two playfields
  • Two backglasses
  • One backbox and backbox door
  • One cabinet
  • One mech board

day_1_playfield_full (resized).jpgday_1_playfield_full (resized).jpg

day_1_playfield_2_full (resized).jpgday_1_playfield_2_full (resized).jpg

day_1_backglass_magic_city (resized).jpgday_1_backglass_magic_city (resized).jpg

day_1_backglass_magic_town (resized).jpgday_1_backglass_magic_town (resized).jpg

day_1_backbox_backside (resized).jpgday_1_backbox_backside (resized).jpg

I have learned much today:

  • I don't ever want to move three pinballs in this heat, never ever again.
  • I am getting too old to be moving three pins in one day. It could be that I am terribly out of shape, but I'm blaming it on my age. I only moved three pins and had leg cramps!
  • The PPPACS (Pecos Pinball Personal Air Conditioning System) worked well until I got home and had to unload the pin. I was pretty toasty by then.
  • My San Tan Valley Project Pin Guy is a very generous person! Thanks Project Pin Guy!
  • This is your brain. This is your brain after moving three pinball machines in the Sonoran Desert July heat:

NicoVolta ************Middle-Pop Alert************

This is my 3rd middle-pop pin. 4th if you count two Spanish Eyes as two and not one. It should do well on route. People seem to like having a ball headed straight for the outhole saved by the lone middle-pop bumper.

I forgot to add the most important bit of information. I don't have air conditioning in my 1996 S-10 Chevy pickup truck. More accurately, I DO have air conditioning; it just hasn't worked in twelve years.

Anyone care to guess what's in the box? I drove 1500 miles round trip from St. Louis to Morris, Minnesota and back in 26 hours. Left Friday morning at 6:00 and was back home at 7:00 Saturday morning. It's a treasure that I have been trying to buy from the seller for about two years. We finally agreed on a reasonable price.
If no one can guess the contents of the box, I'll post a few more revealing photos later.
