Quoted from shacklersrevenge:Naw dude, you can’t come over, and that sounds pretty creepy considering we’ve never even met before.
Aren’t you the guy that was agreeing with some doozer in your thread that you wouldn’t want me in your home?
I thought we were friends after meeting you at pintastic

Was I drunk? Probably. When and where did this happen?

Cool dude.... you and my wife have that in common I guess...
Creature has a new friend!
Just need to remove most of the colored GI (go home pinball bulbs premium kit, you’re drunk!) and I’m all set. A special thank you to the impending remake w/ possible new code for bringing the prices back down to Earth
Oh and cheers to jhoward1082 for being an absolutely great person to deal with!
Brought home a beautiful JD today. Scott did a great job of shopping it and installing the LEDs before I picked it up. What a pretty game. Cointaker LEDs look amazing. Added the Pinbits Deadworld Mod. Works great. Fun game.

One will always stay and my buddy has dibs on the other. Just trying to figure that out. If things change will let you know.

Quoted from grantopia:I think we did ok for $500 off FB. Don't even know if it boots yet (he said it did until the start button stopped working). Looked at the boards and saw a leaky battery but no real damage so off we went. Should be a fun project or player!
That’s a steal! Great game.
Spent almost 2 weeks working to make contact with a local (non-pinhead) seller through FB Marketplace.
Was not a highly desireable game but thought I would give it a go at the right price.
Finally got a chance to see it live Thursday evening. It was not playable. Ball would not launch into shooter lane. Game could only be started with coin door open.
Upper left flipper did not move. Few segments were out on displays. Coin door lock missing, and key to backbox missing (drilled it). Mold everywhere on the outside as it was in a damp basement
The good: playfield was nice ... not perfect but nice. BG was perfect. Cabinet is very good ... and, once you got it started, it worked and a game could be played as long as you kept reaching under the playfield to eject the ball into the shooter lane.
I made and offer, we did some back and forth and I picked it up this morning. The gentleman that owned it bought it from an arcade in 1983 and has owned it since. Game counter show 22,000 plays or so
MOG is this thing heavy. You could bust a gut just taking out the playfield glass!
I spent about 1 1/2 hours working on it today and ...
I am never this lucky, but get this
1) The left flipper was a spade connector loose on the coil
2) The start ball eject issue was a 2 amp fuse
Needs all new rubbers but it now plays.
Artwork is crazy good.

Was this restored? It's in killer shape.
Quoted from V_piscopo:Was this restored? It's in killer shape.
Yes, done by Kevin Keinert, it‘s
stunning to look at and plays flawlessly. Been reading up a lot about prewar pins, the combination of history and pinball is so awesome, i‘m deeply impressed by the ingenuity that went into the design process over 80 years ago, just fascinating!
Quoted from alexmogil:I got really, really lucky.
Was that the one for $750 on CL? Nicely done if so!
Quoted from grantopia:Was that the one for $750 on CL? Nicely done if so!
Yeah, it was. I got very lucky. Very nice person, knew what he had, just needed it gone. I wasn't the first caller, but I was the first who offered him what he was asking. The rest were offering $200, $250, saying it wasn't worth much, stuff like that. Sometimes this hobby brings out some real winners.
He held the game for me just based on the fact that I offered what he asked. I told him if someone else offers more to go ahead and take it and I wouldn't hold it against him, but he said he was a man of his word and it was the truth.

youre so lucky! nice job. I hope to grab one like this someday. I have an Elvira game in my game room but its not mine. I want my own.
Quoted from weaverj:nice! never saw that title before.

Looks like it's in real nice shape. Congrats on the purchase!!!
On my way home with a nice CL score.I was the first caller and offered her asking price and told her even if it had a switch or 2 out I would pay her price because it was beyond a fair price.by the time I got there she had a ton of messages offering more, she even showed me some incase I wanted to flip it and make some quick money but I bought it for myself and I'm just not a flipper.then when she couldn't find the key she insisted I take $25 off which I swear I refused a dozen times but she found change and made me take it along with this really sweet one size fits most wrench thing and a pint of Belvedere vodka. My first CL deal and such a nice lady that I think we will become friends and stay in touch.

No Good Gophers! Did it have a topper?
Quoted from bluespin:No Good Gophers! Did it have a topper?
Yes in good condition it's been sitting under the pin for 10 years because it wouldn't fit in their basement. And yes NGG but I meant the pin in the vodka pic, that's a hard one.
