Sweet! I've got a long way to go before I start enjoying mine unfortunately. Two pop bumpers are DOA, I've got a GI string that's out (haven't checked the fuses yet though), The ball lock is currently not working, and I've got a lot of cleaning up to do. With that said, I'm up for a challenge and this is certainly doable.
Purchased IJ that has been sitting unplayable for 6 years.......time to get out the saw and hammer and bring this awesome pinball adventure back to life...

Best Pin Williams ever made.
Quoted from jkashani:The more I play it the better it gets. What a well done pinball. Magical!
Did you buy it from Gil or did playing his make you buy one?
No, traded for the Iron Man (the one I bought from you) some cash on my end, from another pinsider. Playing his made me buy one. It is an absolute masterpiece. The shots are tight but they losen up pretty quickly.

Awesome I have to try one out soon.
Quoted from Outlanes:Heavily molded GB premium from a pinsider. Sweet game.
I can hardly see any mold at all!
Quoted from pfcjimmy:Brought this home last night.
Should clean up nicely.
That looks really cool!
Drove from Dallas to Houston to pick up a freshly shopped BoP! Weather going home sucked; luckily the seller and I wrapped her up well. Came home dry with nothing loose or broken after the trip!

Saw this on another pinsiders wish list. So you are in good company.

With the flooding in Houston that I saw on TV just how high does the water have to be and how low will Houston pin owners go?
Quoted from woodmedic:I have work to do but for the price I couldn’t pass it up!
Cab looks nice!

It was on the north side, so I was safe and weather via weather.com predicted no rain (bahahahaha). After we played the machine a while we did a few tweaks and broke it down. During this time a monsoon hit, but cleared before we loaded. On the drive home, about 20 miles out, the sky opened up .. thankfully the seller and I wrapped it great and and not a drop of rain on her! It was a great deal for a freshly shopped BoP that will play well for years. It was not a Pinside sale or I would tag the seller .. he does great arcade/pinball work in the Spring area!
Picked this up Friday. Drove 3-1/2 hours to Cleveland suburb to get it (from another Pinsider). Took me 3 days to get it working. Had all kinds of issues, undisclosed. Pretty disappointing to drive that far to get something not as described. Got it home and fixed all the sloppy work the previous owner had done to it. But it's working now and looks ok. Going to attempt some touch up on the backglass while I look for a better one. Happy to have a Teacher's Pet. My mother (retired) and daughter are teachers!

JethroP house, car, etc. always think the seller is hiding something that they are not telling you. Every house I have bought that is true.

Nice. Welcome to the club

I have an embarrassment of riches, 50 days after bringing home DI LE got my AFM LE set up. I am going to need to take a break for a bit or else my wife might suspect how much these things cost.

Quoted from ForceFlow:I've had this on my wish list for years.
I'll be bringing it to the Saratoga Pinball & Arcade Show in August. IJ always seems to be a popular game what it appears at shows
Nice find Forceflow looks like the game is in great condition.
Quoted from Coolpinballdino:Nice find Forceflow looks like the game is in great condition.
The playfield is excellent. The cab was decaled, but the source of the decals looks like they came from a photo, rather than a vector drawing, so they don't hold up to close inspection. But, they look fine from two feet away.
The shots are pretty tight on this game--having recently played Houdini, I'm not sure which is actually harder; IJ or Houdini.
Quoted from ForceFlow:actually harder
Harder? I'll put my money on the one that is NOT a wide-body.

Two things I love about this thread.
1 - How half the shots are from the driver seat pointing back on just a glimpse of a pin. I'm always so stoked too and just want to GTF out of there and hit the road!
2 - How quickly I go check the market place ads after the last post so I can join the dopamine again!
This hasn’t been played for the last 10 years. No keys so no maintenance but its cleaning up really good. This has been the closest pick up so far 30 miles and gave $50 to one of his church missions groups.

Every time I see a Hot Line, I regret not saving one that my parents had years ago.
Quoted from shacklersrevenge:600+ pins later and it only took me over 12 years to nab the bastard. Original!
No remake for me, I didn’t want a future potential paperweight.
See you this weekend
Quoted from Multiballmaniac1:See you this weekend
Naw dude, you can’t come over, and that sounds pretty creepy considering we’ve never even met before.
Aren’t you the guy that was agreeing with some doozer in your thread that you wouldn’t want me in your home?
This the best thread on Pinside IMHO. Always awesome to see what our community brings home and the stories behind them.
Here’s mine from Tokyo. I have been here for one year now on this military assignment, 3 years total, and getting folks to sell you pins is a struggle (being gaijen- foreigner) here in Tokyo.
I became buddy’s with my one pal in Roppingi Tokyo and he sold me his TMNT arcade this week. Although not a pin, I am so stoked to have in my house - dropped a lot of quarters in my lawnmower days trying to defeat Shredder.
TotAlly pumped and will be bringing it back to America!
