Quoted from Marcdaddy:So excited to add this to the lineup, Great Game!!
Nice scoop. I was close to pulling the trigger on that one. Such a fun game.

Quoted from Vic_Camp:I actually didn't bring this machine home, but a friend that was at the Allentown show brought it home for me. Took me a while to post so its a bit later than today.
Thanks,
JR
Looks like an exceptional example, Vic. You have to be happy to have one back in the fold.
Brought these 2 home today
Both work, Paragon has a twobit MPU in it. The Paragon bg is just about perfect the pf is very nice as well as the cab. Stellar wars bg is very nice with just a little flaking at one corner on the bottom edge. Pf has some wear around the outer pops, the rest of the pf has mylar on it the cab is also very nice on it. They both need to be shopped and recapped etc. Mike

Stellar pick up. Both games look like they’re in great shape.
Quoted from Pecos:It looks like that left flipper is giving you the bird - a parrot no doubt! . Be careful with your new acquisition. You can never trust a pirate.
Haha! I'll teach him to flip me off and replace that left flipper with a banana flipper.

Owned both. Good score. Super fun games.

Mike you have a great eye when it comes to viewing games. Be on the lookout after the holiday weekend, when i will be posting many more pictures this 1961 Gottlieb low played beauty. Thrilled to have it in my line up.
Quoted from dothedoo:Brought home another Game Plan. Thanks cottonm4.
Captain Hook looks great but looks like it has some planking
Quoted from SilverballSleuth:She needs to be shopped, but my birthday present to myself - Monopoly!
Monopoly gets a pretty bad rap, but I enjoy it. Great long ramp shots, lots to do. When shopped it's a really nice looking machine too. Congrats!

Picked this up yesterday with a nice project Lightning, which I've already sold to @lotr_breath. Check out those hilarious drop targets. Who says the deals are dead? I got both for $450.

Quoted from snyper2099:Keeping the Stern vibes alive...
I played this one at a tournament a few months ago, and then I picked a project Nugent up recently. The shot for the bonus multiplier is really tight and reminds me of Trident. Did you take off the plastics and backglass, or were they not there when you bought the game?

The BG is missing. The plastics were included and I just removed them to clean them.
I am still uncertain about buying the reporo BG/trans. that is available. Any thoughts on that?
Game looks HUO and has never been shopped but it sat in storage untouched for 20 years.
I like the game and I believe it is an under appreciated early Stern because it is so hard to find a decent example of it.

I have a lead on an original backglass, just waiting on better pictures. If I pass on it I will forward you the lead. I think a lot of people removed the backglasses and framed them to keep as wall art as I have seen multiple copies of this pin with no backglass. BGresto does excellent work. You can either search for a long time for a nos backglass or buy a repro from BGresto. I'll send you a pm with some places to search for the backglass.
Quoted from Chuckles37:Today I brought home my first Pin! Thanks to Ivan for making it a very easy process.
Congrats on your first (and definitely not last) pin! Time for a bigger house.....they tend to multiply! lol
Quoted from Chisox:My guys! Might need to schedule a road trip to a Cardinals game.
Heck yeah. We would be in for sure!
Quoted from nascarrey:Congrats on your first (and definitely not last) pin! Time for a bigger house.....they tend to multiply! lol
There's plenty of room in my house for more pins, I just hope there's enough room in my relationship
Pinball history imitates itself. I acquired my first pin five years ago in a trade for $600 and an old 60" tv I no longer wanted. That pin was Tales from the Crypt- and it turned out to be a prototype! I had many adventures with the game before letting it go to pay for Twilight Zone. I cut my teeth further on that game, but my first was and has always been 'the one that got away.' Today, for about the same funding as I sold it for, I have brought home another, different TFTC. Spookily enough, this one is ALSO a prototype, and the playfields of these two games were manufactured the very same day!

Quoted from ForceFlow:Picked up an RFM last night. My first pin2k game.
Unfortunately, it stopped booting when I went to pick it up.
So, looks like I'll have to go through it top to bottom. I'm hoping it's one of the simple and/or known issues...
After reseating all the connectors and everything in the PC, it appears to be turning on normally
There's a lot of in interesting routing data still on it. Looks like this game paid for itself and then some.

[edit]: Well, looks like I spoke too soon. It will boot 2-3 times, then that will be it for several tries before it finally starts booting again.
I'm guessing this is why the operator got rid of it...
There are three Gottlieb pins from the 70s that I would like to keep in my collection. I already have one of them. I picked up another today. My Project Pin guy in San Tan valley traded me this for a very nice King Pin that I had restored the playfield. He is trading the King Pin for a Fast Draw. Everybody will be very happy!

I turned down two Jumping Jack pins waiting for a Jack in the box. Why? Jack in the Box is one of the first games I played at Aladdin's Castle at Beechmont Mall in Cincinnati in 1974. It was just a few feet from my beloved OXO - so it has sentimental value to me. I have a love/hate relationship with Jack in the Box. I never seemed to be able to get all ten targets down before the pinball would drain.
But the backglass is iconic and the backglass on this one is in good shape. First a Wizard! and now a Jack in the Box. I am filling my sentimental wish list one pin at a time. Both are fantastic games from the 70s.

IIRC, there are a couple of cooling fans in there, and if the PC overheats it will shut down. Make sure both fans are working - I recommend replacing the originals with ball-bearing fans for longer life...

The fans are running. The backbox and PC case are also open, so I don't think it's a heat issue. Once the game actually boots, there doesn't appear to be any stability issues.
I started a troubleshooting thread:

I get mad every time I see a Jack in the Box, There was one on Marketplace last fall, The person said it was mine for $250.00 I drove 3 1/2 hours to pick it up, and she told me she changed her mind and no longer wanted to sell it. All she had to do was contact me to save me the trip.

Amazing first pin to own. Congrats!
Quoted from Wamprat:Traded my ST Prem for a GB Prem
Congrats on the game. Beautiful, fun, unique and insane implementation of the shaker during multiball!
Call outs are killer and the reverse flippers are a cool feature (just cross your arms!)
Love my GB. Not sure why the game gets hit as being clunky or too hard.
Enjoy!
