Quoted from grantopia:I love mine. I really think it's one of the best values for the money. Multiple multiballs, good theme integration (not a NASCAR fan), spinners, 2 ramps, 11 modes with 2 wizard modes and some sub-modes, great use of drop targets with the risk/reward for mode bonus...and a Lawlor game with flow to boot. Once I played the game and looked past the theme I was hooked.
Yeah, Im not much into Nascar either but I played it a few times at a pub by my house and also got hooked . I just loved how it played fast, has good flow, lots to do and as you mentioned its a Pat Lawlor title as well. Great game for pinball newcomers too.

This is one of the coolest pin collections I've seen. Which one is missing, the recent Stern one?
Wanted to share my most recent pick-up that I managed to nab last week. It's a 1940 Genco "Metro" and it's in fabulous aesthetic and functional condition. Really proud to have this in my collection:

The ruleset for this game is quite involved:

...and, boy, is it fun. I think I must have put up a couple dozen games on this last night. And have I mentioned the stunning art package?

...just gorgeous.

Needless to say, I'm pretty enamored.

Thank you! And yes you're correct on missing the Stern. I'm going to start saving for a Premium or LE as soon as I have the new Data East LED'd and playing 110%!

Sorry but you have 2 to go, a stern and Gottlieb version

Quoted from Rensh:Sorry but you have 2 to go, a stern and Gottlieb version
I would definitely buy those (though I don't actually expect to ever see a Star Ship in person) if I ever came across one for a reasonable price. I don't count them though because they're not reeaaaally about the show.
Quoted from tengle93:Sky Jump for $150!! Been watching for the cops, feels like I stole it!
Dayum. Nice one!
Arrived home safe from an 9 hour round trip and started the cleaning process. Cabinet is very nice with just one drilled hasp hole and a few scratches. Non-Diamond Plate pf and no mylar but playfield looks fantastic and will polish up nicely. 2 broken plastics and no wear on upper pf. Seller said there was an issue on the power board and has been dead for 5 years but have not powered up. All boards match, no apparent hacks and only one brown spot on one connector.

Alien Poker is a good fun game. I was playing a mates just last night.

Cool. For the price of these 2, I could not resist.
Quoted from epeabs:Just one picture. But my friend just grabbed a GOT LE and a MET Pro today. Now we just need to get them either into the basement or above the garage. OHHHHH.
Good pick up but that is not a gotle

This thread isn't about comparisons, just good vibes. Best thread on Pinside I think.
I toggle between wanting newer stuff and hunting down titles from long ago.
Seeing older pins on this thread brings me more joy, so congrats, you've just made my day! I envy your new toys!
I brought home my second pin yesterday! It’s a Gottlieb Spin a Card. It is my first EM, and it will not be my last. During my first game, I fell in love with the bells, chimes and gameplay. Awesome purchase.

Got this beast in the house, but going to powdercoat the legs before I put them on. Don’t feel like lifting it twice. It needs some work and tweaking, but plays 100%. Definitely an interesting and oddball game.

Reminds me of Varkon
Quoted from Skyemont:Two games added to the storage. I need a bigger game room.
So what's the plan with that Q*BERT back in the corner and does it work
Quoted from PM_Jeremy:How about a vid of you playing it?
On my to do list!

Wow wow wow! I've seen EM games in this format before, but never knew about this title. Fits perfectly with your line-up, Col! I'm guessing this title was on your radar...and that you didn't just stumble into this one. Assuming so, you must have been on the hunt for quite a while. Congrats on the odd-ball pick-up!

Oh contrare my good man.
Not really on my radar, but I’ve seen one or two of them before. Still not a game you see often. Kind of stumbled on it...actually my bud ZNET (Bruce) gave me the lead, and I didn’t waste time figuring out a deal with the guy. It’s certainly unique.
Thing was absolutely filthy, probably hasn’t been touched in 10 or 15 years. Just got done putting new rubbers on, first round of cleaning, tweaking switches, polishing the mirror. And you know I’m not big on throwing LED’s in an EM, but this pin was screaming for it given the design. Huge improvement IMO, you can actually see the playfield / plastics / art package way better...
Here’s the before and after. Still needs some more cleaning, and I’ll rip it apart fully once I play and enjoy it some.

Bah...seeing the playfield is overrated.

Thanks for the comparison shots.
Okay, now here's the real (selfish) question; how many of your fleet will you be bringing to the York Show in October? *LOL* Wish I could have made it to Allentown. If I'm not mistaken, you brought your Vamp there, right?

Colson, Your LEDs look great. . .monumental improvement (and that's coming from an EM purist). Hi Ryan!

Far too many quarters lost in that machine from me!

That poor Tron.
Hope you can fix it up to it's former glory!

I was sad to see that beauty leave.
Seven days later that LotR money was burning a hole in my pocket so...

Quoted from mark532011:is that a phone on the right side of the playfield?
That's part of the game mechanic "dialed in." You hit the center moving target (see the figure with the lightning bolts) and that charges your phone. When your phone is charged you get a call about a problem (a new mode). Finish the mode, recharge the phone again, finish mode#2, rinse and repeat. Other modes in the game through the left tunnel shot as well.

It’s really neat, shows videos and instructions and the apps are really the disaster modes. 483D7C50-E02B-458F-9C02-49F66D20B975 (resized).jpeg

Picked up a 1959 United shuffle alley from a fellow pinsider a couple weeks back.
I rented a 5x8 trailer to pick it up, but lo and behold, the lane was an inch too long to fit. the front of the game slants forward at an angle, so that caused it to stick out by that extra inch. Agh!
So, the seller and I ended up propping the lane up inside the trailer, and he had a 2x4 he cut and made a couple of make shift legs to make sure the lane didn't simply drop and get wedged inside the trailer.
I had some rope I also used to secure it from shifting around. It took about 3 hours to get the darn thing disassembled, hauled out of his basement, and loaded up.
I thought it would be an easy move since it was actually one of the smaller shuffle alley's I've seen. Although, I was able to unload it on my own, so that wasn't too bad.
The general idea for this is to hopefully get it up and running and bring it to the Saratoga show I'm organizing in August (https://pinballsaratoga.com) to help bring in other fun games in addition to pins. Considering all the other games I need to prep for Pintastic and the Saratoga show, it's probably going to be tight.

One of the best pins in years. Fun in everyway.
