Scored a Time Warp this AM and a out of sight! Not a bad morning. Don't think the glass has been off this time warp in decades. Had to pry the lockdown bar off.

Went to a farm auction last weekend and picked up some projects. The guy was an operator for 28 years and everything had been sitting in a barn on dirt floors for probably 20+ years. I picked up a Stars, Bobby Orr Power Play, and a Joker Poker parts machine that time got the better part of. Then on the way home I bought a working Stars from pinsider Parabol420. I plan to do full restorations on both of the Stars and the Bobby Orr Power Play. The Joker Poker will be stripped of anything usable and what is left of the cabinet will be burned.

the collection. But a machine of a different type arrived today which will be not only used
as a worker, but also for pleasure..

Sorry man. I had to send my DILE back as well. Backbox was damaged. That was last summer. Fortunately I had a new one in 3 weeks. Hope it comes soon.

Is it that hard not to damage these or not put a forklift blade through?

My first NIB, TSPP I bought back in 2003 had a forklift blade right through the underside of the cabinet.

Welcome to the Comet club! I'm currently fixing one up also, going with the hardtop install.

BertoDRINK1 is trying to get bgresto to make some backglass reproductions. Apparently he needs one to scan, don't know if there was any progress. Mine isn't bad at all, but would probably buy a repro anyway.

jaytrem Another option is Shay Arcade Group. He adds new backglasses to his offering occasionally and he uses the same manufacturing process that the glasses were originally made with. If I see him at Pinfest today I will suggest adding Comet to his offering.

Cool, thanks. With all the Comet ramps Mark is selling I suspect the backglasses would also sell pretty well.

OK, it wasn't quite "today", more like a week ago, but I've been busy

IMG_2170 (resized).JPGIMG_2170 (resized).JPG

The machine survived the trip better than the box did. Turned out to be just a lateral tear - no internal damage at all.

Trying out some Cannon Lagoon! That damn Kraken still eludes me

That is the Multimorphic P3 pinball platform. The upper playfield module with all the physical components is replaceable in about 3 minutes with other game playfield modules. The large LCD draws graphics and has full infra-red ball tracking so you can interact with virtual targets as well. Flippers and slingshots are suspended over the screen and function just like regular machines do.

It's also user-programmable, so if you have the coding and design skills you can make your own games, complete with custom upper playfields.

One thing it is NOT is virtual pinball. There is a real ball, 12 of them actually, and the base Lexi Lightspeed playfield has an 8-ball lock, ramps, scoops, pop bumpers, standup targets, etc.

It's produced by the same company that makes the P-ROC brand pinball control systems.

Finally got a chance to work on the project I've been dying to get to...,..maybe the nicest EM playfield I have ever seen. Sat in the same camp (near water) since 1977. Jones plugs and leafs have corrosion, but I think it will clean up nice. Now if only I can sorce a BG that does it justice...,.,..,.?
