Quoted from Pinhead306:Nice pick up man. Game looks cool.
Thanks man. Should clean up nice. Forgot to thank jesperpark for helping me carry this beast out of a basement and storing it till I could come pick it up. I thought Contact was wide but this thing is huge!
Quoted from dasvis:One of the best backglasses IMHO. Sound package is pretty annoying though.........
I'm becoming addicted to these mirrored backglasses. This one has a little flaking but not in any important spots.

As a kid I used to ride my bike to the mall on Saturday morning and wait for the arcade to open. Looking in at the pins, even though they were turned off, their mirrored backglasses gave them more class than all the other games around them....gave the games life despite the fact they were sitting there lifeless. Even without the flashing lights my eyes were still lured to them and I couldn't wait to play.
Video games were just starting to get big at the time -- Space Invaders, Asteroids, Atari Football, etc. -- and I loved them all, but my memory is of peering into the arcade and seeing all the mirrored backglasses.

dothedoo I understand as my arcade was in the years of 73-74. I could walk to it as I lived about two blocks away. Someone the other day on a post said about a cigarette sitting on the edge of the pinball. That at mine would get you kicked out they had ashtrays after all. I loved going there and spending my money. When I was out I would watch if the person would let me as just to be able to see the pin in play. Those are some of my best memories and I would have had more but the older element that would show up at night was causing trouble and between the police and such it only lasted for about two years.
We all have memories as that was what got us here today. Sorry about the thread derail, but back to the pins.

Quoted from Boof-Ed:Creech is back! With some extras though. It left about 12 months ago with no hologram and I traded it back with a new repro hologram today. Picked up about half another creech project too.
Oh man! I’ve been looking for a Creech for a while. Can i call dibs on the project one when you get it ready to go?

Shipping would be so very expensive....Boof-Ed is in Australia.

Bummer! It would be a good excuse to visit though
FINALLY found an Arlington Horse Racing arcade after 26 years of searching!!!
Super rare and hard to find. (Mostly because it's really more of a redemption, and was kind of a flop for Strata.)
I think it was only a few years after this came out that Strata became Incredible Technologies and were off and running with Golden Tee.
I loved it for the 2 years it survived in my local arcade and is really cool to me since I love horse racing and live only a mile from Arlington Park.
Picked up my second Fire from awesome Pinsider @woody76. Owned one a few years ago and I missed it
This one has a brand new CPR playfield too
Arranged specifically to pick it up early this morning because we are supposed to get rain all day Sunday
Well ... we drove almost 2 hours in the sunshine and got 10 minutes from his house and it rained in a biblical way the entire pickup time and about an hour on the way home
Something told me to bring a tarp and some wood to lift it off the bed.
Other than a few drops it made it home dry!
More beauty shots tomorrow
Note there is no video just a screen shot of the downpour we drove thru

Nice score - rare game and looks like it’s in great shape!

Wow, congratulations!
Just grabbed this Spy Hunter last night. A lot of these recent posts have a similar component to them, the WEATHER. My experience was no different. Very heavy rains and high winds driving the rain like sheets. Glad for an SUV to keep things covered. Good price, playfield is very good, cabinet is a bit beat, but a nice score.

wonder what the postal worker was thinking in the background.

I'm always amazed at how many games are bought and sold. I love that pinside makes me feel normal, when in my everyday life I'm the weird pinball guy.
Quoted from orangegsx:No backglass or boards at all. But im super excited to have this firepower!
you post is more exciting than the new in the box stuff.
Quoted from pinostalgia:you post is more exciting than the new in the box stuff.
