Quoted from RobDutch:Made a very good deal on these 2 projects last saturday They don't work but it shouldn't be a big problem. Translite/Backglass of both games look great.
Nicely done, I hope to get a Whirlwind someday!
Quoted from whthrs166:I brought this Home! Drove 1700 miles to get it! No limitations!
Nice grab ! Where did you get it Mexico ?
Quoted from Lord_of_the_pins:Where did you get it Mexico ?
No doubt, 1700 miles is crazy. That said for a MB I might go 1701 miles.
Quoted from mrossman5:FT? If so, damn that's clean.
That's what it is. If you click and expand the pic, you can see the label better.
It's surprisingly clean for a re-import. But most I've seen were from Italy. Maybe they're better treated or just not as popular in Finland...
Quoted from pinheadpierre:A semi-rare gem to add to my restoration que....
Fun pin.. I picked up one of these last year & brought it back from the dead.
Never gave much attention to classic Sterns before I played mine, I gained new respect for them.

Wow nice pick up it looks to be in great shape! Who picked up the jp?
Quoted from dirkdiggler:Had to share pics of a very nice example of one of my grail games. Don't see this one going anywhere!
Nice example of Gorgar - most of them when you see them are kind of rough. That one looks pretty nice for sure !
Quoted from tengle93:Came home with this gem today, needs some work but for $100 I’m happy! Sounds strange but my first foray into SS machines. Usually it’s the other way around.
Wow! $100?!? That's awesome. One of the best pins, imho.
Quoted from OTTOgd:Wow! $100?!? That's awesome. One of the best pins, imho.
I'm with him, $100 is insane! Playfield looks in pretty nice shape too, what a steal, one of my favorites as well.
TNA came to add some awesome to the house yesterday, machine is crazy amounts of fun.. and frustration.. and just one more.

$100

I did get that before I left. The seller has had it since 1984. He purchased it from someone in Brick, NJ who got it off an operator. Most likely it was at PtPleasant or Seaside Heights Boardwalk, NJ. Signs of the salt water air are there inside the machine. Hasn’t been played in some time after a moving company damaged the head, cracked the cabinet.

Sensational player! Nice find. The bg,cabinet and playfield look nice too. More pictures please.......

Nice bk2k pick up! Can't wait to find one.

Here you go Vic. Not bad overall condition, just needs a little TLC.

I don't have time for another project pin but I picked this one up for $500 locally from a co-worker whose better half said it was time to go. I thought it would be nice to have another System 3. I used to own Cue Ball Wizard and enjoyed it so why not? Looks like it will need another $300 or so in parts - super dirty but so far fully functional.
Replaced the flipper bats/rubbers/bat frames
Got the GI working (F9 fuse at the transformer)
LED the entire backbox
Fixed the lock in the head
Added a lock in coin box (was drilled)
Added the missing rubber grommets at the flipper pawls
Fixed the right playfield mount - it had completely fallen off the as the 8x32 screws had backed out!
It was literally jammed in there sideways and was still somehow (not smoothly) able to allow the PF to hinge up and down
Works like a charm now with proper screws
To do:
Flashers at Cacti in the back not working
Replace all rubber (new in hand)
Polish the mylar with TC kit
Wonky switch in the lock hole
LED the playfield (or maybe just leave it - looks nice with the theme)
Epoxy some minor cracks in the ramps
Re-sleeve coils, new pawls and new flipper bat PF sleeves
Wash the inside and outside of the cabinet
Rebuild and replace the drop target assemblies as one is broken off and all decals are nasty (new set in hand from Marco)
Played a few games and enjoyed it - how can you not smile at dancing Cacti?
Anyone with a CJ that knows about the flasher schematics to the area in front of the dancing cacti (stage area) just let me know
I do have a manual on order

There was someone looking for a BK2K project in the Pinfest thread.

Another Mystery Castle has been found and yanked from the clutches of a basement getting no love. This one sat in a non-collector's house for 23 years. Prior to that it was purchased new in '93 to put in their music hall on Long Island then the owner took it home in '95 for the family to play with it. It's been there ever since...
Now it'll get some royal treatment and brought back to life.

They can keep looking
Finally got my latest purchase home.
I purchased this machine back around the start of December from Victoria, which is about 1900kms (1200 miles) away, and was hoping to have it delivered just after new years. Long story short, lots of things went wrong with transport that was already booked etc and i finally got it home this week. Ended up still having to drive 400kms (250 miles) each way pick it up from the nearest capital city....also picked up some other pins for local mates while i was going.
I wasnt sure i would like it as it is a little different from most normal pinballs. But after just one game both my missus and I were hooked. It is the differences and the unique gameplay that definitely make it a winner for us.
I had a few mates around last night and everyone really enjoyed playing it. I might have to see about finding a second one later in the year.

Quoted from wantdataeast:My pin Bro, I wish you the best with this project and I hope you have a lot of success. But I think you should also post this girl in the Pinball Horror Pics thread. Not insulting it, but the machine was clearly abused and lived a super hard life. You have balls to take on this project!.
Thanks, It obviously has been well used and badly abused and then got shoved in a barn to rot, this will be the biggest project I've even taken on, the cabinet scares the s#@t out of me, but I want to save it so I will give it a go.
Swapped a wide body Stern for my first modern Stern in the lineup! Pumped to play. Still 5 hours from home.......thx dirkdiggler
My navigator is no help either

Nice find! I’ve been looking for one lately as well, as it’s a blast of a machine to play. Have fun!
Quoted from mrossman5:Just got my Riverboat Gambler!
I do like the looks of that pin. Probably a candidate for some new music from what I've read but the game seems pretty solid.
Quoted from RonSS:I do like the looks of that pin. Probably a candidate for some new music from what I've read but the game seems pretty solid.
Yeah, when I saw videos on it, I was really turned off. Honestly it really doesn’t bother me that much. Really gets stuck in your head. Really solid game. Got an unbelievable deal for it too. Traded my Gottlieb Gladiators for it.
Quoted from Allibaster:I recently bought a HUO 1994 Data East Maverick from a local Facebook group. The original owner won it on "The Price Is Right" in the 90's. I just finished shopping out the top side, but the inside is like new.
Nice maverick and a great story to go with it

My guess is they selected the game new because the colors of their establishment matches the color scheme of the game.
Now it'll get some royal treatment and brought back to life.
Awesome pick up Dave!! You don't see that game every day.
Quoted from BenB:Nice find! I’ve been looking for one lately as well, as it’s a blast of a machine to play. Have fun!
Thanks man. It is definitely a fun machine and a little different.
Hope you can find one!

Awesome. Relish the deal and enjoy the game.
Quoted from mmuglia:I brought home a HUO IronMan today to complete my super hero row.
Complete super hero row, you say. I must ask where is Batman Forever, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Batman 66?
Nice current collection that is.

Complete "my" super hero row...as in the super hero games I want to own. Wasn't claiming to own all the super hero pins.
