Wow - that looks amazing
Quoted from corvair61:Finally got her out of the garage and running. About 95% there!
One you do not see often.

Looks like an early prototype of the Danesi lock...
Beautiful pin... my wife would love that one!!
Quoted from AlexF:Brought this Space Mission home last night. A trip from hell. Cold and slick. So much salt spray on the roads I went through a gallon of windshield wash. Then 5 miles from my destination I discovered my grandson must have the flu. I did my best to clean up most of the barf at a gas station. -5º currently so not sure I can get all the leftover frozen chunks.
Ah well today is a new day and I have a nice game to play.
Nice Space Mission I'm looking for one of those. I was wondering if the cold and weather would slow the pin gathering of this group.

Thanks! You got to get 'em while you can. If you don't someone else will. Cleaned the barf out of my car and was back on the road Sunday to pick up a second Grand Prix. 6º and sunny didn't feel too bad after some of the weather we've had recently.
I'd post a pic of the Grand Prix but she's no creampuff. Trying to make one decent one out of two.

Colder here in Indiana -12 temperature with wind -23 to cold for me if I value my life. A second Grand Prix getting kind of greedy aren't we?
Leave some for the rest of us.

Sorry thought you were talking about the real Dolly.

Good to hear making progress on the Grand Prix.
Star Trek Next Gen is one of my favourites. It can kick your ass big time with those outlanes but it's so much fun to play over and over.
I picked up this Paragon project last weekend for $100. Cons: Backglass completely flacked away, missing the MPU and solenoid driver boards, rusty legs, and unknown if the displays work, and the back panel of the backbox will need to be replaced. Pros: $100!, nice condition cabinet, coin door and one of the nicest Paragon playfields that I have seen, short of a restoration.
Thanks to Smart_Bomb posting about this on this site. Seller originally wanted $1,100, dropped to $500, and smart_bomb negotiated the price down to $50 after seeing it in person. He passed on buying it, but posted on this site about it. By the time that I contacted the owner he raised the price to $100, but still a great price. I wanted to find a Paragon project and completely restore it this year, and this was a great start to my New Year!

This was for sale on Facebook and then EBay at a high price, then the seller lowered it to $500, then smart bomb looked at it in person and posted this thread https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/paragon-non-working-should-i-scoop-it-up.
Quoted from ibuypinballs:Took this in on trade tonight.
STTNGs are flying off the shelves these days it seems. This is like the 3rd one in the last 50 posts. Grail game for me, so I'll never sell mine. Congrats! You'll love it!

Quoted from john32:Added funhouse and diner to the collection . both are almost fully restored and the diner is diamond plated. Two of my favorites
that Diner is probably a sample: dp playfield, yellow ramp return.

Quoted from jk3443:Just picked up my first machine on Saturday! F-14 Tomcat, played it for an hour then the right flipper let out the magic smoke, ahhh. Time to learn some new skills!!!
EOS switch on the flipper not opening properly?

Looks like a nice example. Congrats, and welcome to the madness. Like AA, you'll find that pinball collecting is a 12 step program.
Quoted from Higloss67:Picked up Close Encounters of the Third Kind. It is complete, but needs some TLC. Backglass is really nice.
That's an awesome pickup. I do like sys1, and I do like the theme of this one more than most.
Quoted from ajfclark:EOS switch on the flipper not opening properly?
What is this EOS switch you speak of and where can I find more info on it?
When your flipper is up , the switch opens to cut the high power to a hold power. It is on your flipper assembly under playfield . You should see a yellow capacitor there as well. These switches must open .

Nice grab! Looks in good shape. Fix that switch/coil and you'll be on it for hours!
Quoted from Elevatorman:Two machines in fantastic shape, especially EBD.Its about as nice as you'll find.

And on top of it, your dog looks awesome.

Nice carpet! Some of my games have changed since this pic, but the carpet is a keeper.

Man that's a high society dog you got there.

There's a pic here: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/vids-guide-to-upgradingrebuilding-flippers#post-284680 (and the post above that for when the flipper is relaxed).
So not to clutter this thread, it's probably worth jumping this conversation across to the F-14 club: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/f14-tomcat-owners-club-fans-also-welcome/page/62
