Welcome to the hobby! Let me know when you start your restore threads! Would love to follow.

Quoted from bicyclenut:

This is a hard one to find. Great game, and a total collectable. Awesome pickup. Start with those score reels.

Will do. So far I have been researching/studying online resources. If I get in over my head, I'll definitely reach out for assistance.

Quoted from ZNET:

For an eBay purchase, you may wish to consider simply utilizing STI (Michelle Bianchi) to deliver your game door-to-door. The cost is typically $300 - $400, insured, depending upon origin and destination and the existence or absence of staircases on either end. Feel free to private message me for contact information, if interested.
Also, fellow collectors (like Bob Cunningham and Pinballs On The Move) offer delivery services in some states for about $300. Still others utilize U-Ship. Again, feel free to PM me for details.

That's awesome, ZNET. Thanks for the info on STI & Bob Cunningham. I'll definitely send you a PM . . . I'm interested in pin that is several states away.

I brought home a Bally Flash Gordon, this weekend. I picked this up in the Southern Utah area for $900.

The listing had only been posted 25 minutes, before I stumbled upon it. I called the seller immediately, and promised him I was making the trek. Since I was the first to respond, he offered to hold it for me. It belonged to the previous home-owner, and he wanted it gone.

There was a playfield protector placed on this pin, so there is minimal wear. A few cracked/broken plastics, but nothing serious. Two drop targets on the lower-left playfield are not resetting. The BG is in excellent condition.

The seller was a great guy . . . he and his family were extremely welcoming. I'm gonna send him a gift for Christmas. I'm super happy, right now!

Snagged a Gottlieb Dimension on craigslist today for $50. A friend of mine picked it up for me and is holding it until I can make the 2 and half hour trip up north to Green Bay. One major downside is it's missing the head - so might search around for a bit for a head that'd work in place and a backglass. It's a fun game, and fairly uncommon/rare; so possibly worth the effort in fixing or building what's missing.

I did see a BG on CL for sale, can't remember the price but it was there. I did find two heads someone was selling and posted that about a month ago. So you never know where one will come up.

Quoted from Arresto:

Well, it was a few weeks ago now but I got this Dr Dude pinball machine that I have been working on fixing up. It is my first machine and I am leaning as I go but so far I have managed to fix:
* A tilt fault that was stopping the game from starting - there was a short circuit due to a bad soldering job.
* The start button didn't work - someone had cut the wires where they connected to the pump tilt.
* The left flipper not working - replaced a capacitor, cleaned and tightened the leaf switch.
* Swapped some wrong and blown fuses.
* Bought and put in bolts and nuts for the head board and play field pivot bolts.
* Cleaned & cleaned & cleaned the machine.
* Touched up some of the artwork - there is a lot more to go.
* Swapped the broken big shot figure for a random figure and have a new 3D printed one on its way in the mail.
I've also tested all the omes for all the solinoids most are around 6 and all are above 4.
I've still got to get the mix master working. I've swaped out a bad diode and NPN transistor on the Triac board but it's still not working.
Let me know what you think. As I said this is my first machine and I'm learning as I go so any advice if welcome.

Welcome to pinball, you’ve clearly already done/learned more than most in the hobby

So who's the lucky bastard that made out like a bandit and brought this home?

Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Clause! I had just moved Iron Man out of the living room to my sister's house to make room for the Christmas tree a few days before and bam this hit me smack in the face as I sat down to lunch on Friday. I called him 10 mins after it posted and left a message and then started texting him. He told me I was 1st and that he would hold it for me and I jumped in the car. Family moved into a new house and they didn't play the pin that much because it wasn't fun anymore. The opto in the skill hole died and the eddy sensor needed to be adjusted on the crate. She's back from Belgium and has the wrong legs, a spot of wear in front of the crate and a broken beast ramp. Since we MUST have a tree up she now sits in the dining room. Just another step on the road to divorce...

Picked up 2 projects, TOM needs new playfield, cab is trashed, its about 90% working....WH20 is not as bad, playfield ok, works ok, cab beat up but not awful, came with new(repro) topper, dome and boulders...
I was planning full restore for both, but the WH20 might be in too good of shape for that...the TOM however will keep me busy through the winter, its getting the full treatment.

The real burning question for most everyone around here....... did you get to keep the rare German troll coin door skin.

All jokes aside. I freaking love both of those games. I’m glad you got the projects you were looking for

Oh that coin door

When I bought the MM the seller asked me to sell it back to him if I didnt want it (I tried to like it, but no dice) so I contacted him and sold it.
I love these titles also...I sold my WH20 yesterday because I knew this on was coming today, I sold my TOM 2 months ago so I was glad to pick these up...

This rarity came in on Friday. Playfield, wire harness, and back glass of Bell Ringer, only 150 made!!
A great little novelty pin that I’m excited to have.

Still need to source the remaining parts as I plan on putting this back together.
The cab was turned into a VP, sadly.

If anyone has a source on a cab, or other mini pins please let me know

Not really sure how to go about creating a cab for this thing... so that will come later

Also funny to note: November marked my first year on pinside, and since September I’ve added a new pin to my collection every month... LOL. You guys weren’t kidding... I have another one coming this month too... I’m out of space. Send help!

Indeed it was, Ballypinwiz. I had asked about it then but wasn’t able to buy it. I
Remembered it again and shot him another message, and bought all that remained. It was sad to see such a rare pin parted out, but I understand why. Anyway... I caved and bought it. If nothing else, it can hang on the wall.

I actually already have some other pieces by chance from someone else who just happened to have the remnants of a part out.

Thats in great shape! Hoping to pick up a functioning game in a couple weeks. That and a nudge it. Both need a lot of cleaning though

There's something strange in my neighborhood. Sold Judge Dredd and picked up a Ghostbusters Pro. It's in great shape, just needs a good cleaning. It has the Stern inner side art and air ball plastics already installed and the translite is signed by Ernie Hudson. It's a fun and challenging game with a fantastic theme that should keep me interested for a long time to come. Can't wait for a color dmd for this, that will be outstanding.

Brought this home. Always a favorite of mine when I was growing up. Great shape despite some minor insert lifting. Plays fantastic. Wife and son declared it their favorite pretty quickly. Pretty approachable with its simple rule set.

I've been in pursuit of a Time 2000 for a while since it was the last Atari game I didn't have, and now I'm finally bringing one home. My Atari collection is now complete (aside from Hercules ).

I'm only aware of one other person who managed to collect them all. I'd be interested to hear if there is anyone else who has them.

I'm really looking forward to getting them all set up in a line at some point.

Picked up an Elektra, no legs, no keys so I had to drill out one lock. But it was a steal at $500.

Needs work the MPU has acid damage but otherwise looks good.

I am excited, I bought Gorgar from the same guy two months apart both projects. Gorgar was first in so still working on its restore.
