Now that is a nice looking cab! Congratulations on getting a good BSD.

Quoted from Joker2415:Nice! That is the one my wife would knock me off for! It's ok! I have Garlic in my pocket at all times!!
That and Twilight Zone are her "want" games. Mine too...But?....I think she might do away with me for them!
I am not sure I will be able to keep this one. My 5 year old already freaked out about it being too scary.

It's nothing compared to a Freddy. My 4 year old daughter loves BSD...calls him Mr. Dracula haha. Tough it out...it is too awesome to give up.
Then setting up Road Kings I brought home last week she literally said "you're not putting the bolts in right." I apparently had to sit through a lesson. Hilarious. She'll be on Pinside criticizing all of us within a couple years at this rate.

That's awesome your daughter is getting involved. Too cute!
Every once in a blue moon a game that just sat on your wish list for years because it's so rare or expensive finally pops up for sale and it was a 15 minute drive away (that last part actually never happens). I'm going to leave it for public play for a couple of months before it gets a clearcoat and buried in my personal collection.

She is my pride and joy...the fact that she loves pinball makes it so much sweeter.
And Ted, unlike you, she can actually work on the games already. Hahahahahaha....and she says " be careful, can't hurt the field."

Damn!! Can't argue with that!
* GREAT picture, by the way...

Awesome helper! Wait till shes older and can go and help with your pick ups!
I've had a Golden Tee Home Edition for 3 years- my 14 yo daughter wasn't interested...... When I added my first pin (EK77) in march she took a liking to it-them when I brought home a sweet Jokerz in august-she was hooked! Wonder if I can get het to help me with my 3 projects ...lol
Thanks for the comments folks...she's amazing. Sorry to jump the thread off track momentarily. Up until a few days ago, weren't many posts pouring in.

Awesome pick up...game looks like it's in great shape. There was one at Pintastic, and it was marked as sold pretty damn quick. And the last part so true...at least you and your brother didn't have to trek all the way out to my house again!
Quoted from Zami77:My first pin, just set it up last night! I bought it a few months ago but I had to wait til my apartment was set up to have it shipped out. Love it a ton and will definitely be keeping Firepower for life.
Nice first pin! Congrats!

Welcome to the illness...er, I mean hobby.

Welcome to the sickness! Great choice. I said the same thing about my first game. Spoiler alert, it's history. As is a nice chunk of my savings account haha. Have fun

Funny how that is, I have been taking my kids (all girls) to HAAG pinball expo for years and never thought they were into it. My youngest (just turned 21) actually asked to go this year and took off from her Job. She plays more arcades (loves Smash TV) and is actually pumped to head out tomorrow morning and go to the expo.

Well, I got my gf into pinball, so the hard part is over now just to convince her we need a second pin in our 2 BR apartment haha!
Pretty damn excited about this one. Picked this out of an old storage barn. Think I'd like to have it completely restored if anyone can point me in the right direction.

That's an original glass? CPR put the pink/red in the upper left corner around the boat like that. I've never seen that on an original glass before. Even the flyer doesn't have it.

That's very interesting. Its definitely 100% original so i'm not sure. I was told it's been sitting in this barn for about 20 years.
I think the color shifts has to do with the vendors involved with the production run. I watched
the moon on Williams Space Shuttle's backglass do the same color shift throughout the game's
production run. The end of production run games have more red than the beginning of the
production run and/or the backglass was replaced with NOS which is, of course, the end of
production run stock.
Quoted from Grayman_EM:Nice, I like the Big Game also one of the few SS games that I have played.
I also like the Bad Cats, lady that works next to me would love it as much as her cat.
I love big game. Unfortunately it's my roommates and he sold it the other day. It's leaving us this weekend. Bummer
Coming home...

Nice looking duo. Hurricane is such a fast difficult game and Junkyard is just great fun! Congratulations.

Thanks, bro!

Definitely a nice pick up. Although most people scream for Cyclone, I actually prefer Hurricane. More ramps, more shots and just more fun to play IMO. Had a very nice one a long time ago, and it played fast as hell (and suffice to say some family preferred it over my horror-themed pins ----- no idea why ). Some people complain that the two Ferris wheels slow down gameplay too much, but it really doesn't. Plus I take it as a time to rest, shake my hands and readjust my power stance. Step right up!!!

Basically any game that has “corn dogs!” As a callout is a guaranteed winner. I actually just finished up my hurricane that was in this thread a couple of weeks back. It’s a fun game for sure

The original Fathom backglass has considerably more definition in the art than does the repro. The repro is nice; however, the line art is blurry by comparison. The original can thus be easily identified. I have had them side-by-side (however, I can't locate a photo of the repro). Here's the original on a Fathom formerly in my line-up.
Quoted from bluespin:Just brought this home today. It’s a light project that I found at a garage sale half a mile from my house.
Isn't that how it usually happens? You look for months on Craigslist for a suitable Project Pin and one shows up in your backyard!!
I'm glad that after making 348 posts to the Project Pin thread helping others, you get rewarded with such a great pin. Congrats and enjoy!!
Thanks @pecos. My neighbor came over and told me about the pin at the garage sale. He will be receiving a nice thank you present soon.
Quoted from SadSack:This Seawitch was the first pinball machine I sold. I just got it back today and will route it for at least a few months before putting it up for sale.
So you're excited to have it back, so you can get rid of it again? I'm confused.
Still, getting your first sale back is kinda cool. I think I'd keep it.
