Quoted from Oneangrymo:

I was able to get them in the garage, even take the Star Trek to my walk out basement and set it up before my wife even woke up. Now I dont know what will happen when she finds them!

Well my wife found the NIB in the garage, and said "another one!". I said yes, Im planning on selling it. Then she was ok. Then she saw the Star Trek LE in the basement. And she thought it was from the box, so she thinks I only bought one pinball machine.. so far so good

Lol.. best part is you don't plan to sell either

#5754 6 years ago

What's the over/under on this one?

14 days until she accepts your keeping both?

#5755 6 years ago

Maybe she lost track. Might be the perfect time to buy another?

Tell her you're babysitting one, 3 or 4 for a friend…works every time. And if it doesn't work, at least you'll have some really nice games in your new bachelor pad.

That would work, but she'll be like "you don't have any friends". I'll just try to hide them under some blankets or something.

LMAO... i'll PM you my number. Tell her I'm your friend. I just won't expect any resistance when I come to pick up one of them to bring it back to my house.

I'm live pretty close to you. I'll be your "friend" and keep a few for you until you need to rotate.

I could stop by once in a while to establish a friendship for the next time you need a scapegoat.

What has become my obligatory truck pictures from my purchase this morning. Fireball is one of my grail games and I was fortunate to find it 25 minutes from my house from a local Pinsider.

Ballypin Congratulations on finding one of your grail pins. It looks really nice. I hope that you are able to recover from your long journey!

Didn't bring it home - but this one in a Box was delivered to me yesterday. First time that has happened !!!

My truck is happy to stay in the same county for once. If this fell through, I was tempted to jump on a Bally Dogies in eastern PA that popped on CL 2 days ago. Would have been 1000 plus miles and 18 hours to snag a game that I have never played but would like to try. Fireball was a no-brainer.

#5768 6 years ago

Something beautiful, I congratulate you for a great find, I will play BANG this little orb
Congratulations

#5769 6 years ago

Just picked up a beautiful HUO Simpsons with original receipt for 3800. Mods ordered - Color DMD, pinball bulbs LED kit, PDI side and target decals, Worst Pinball Ever sticker from Back Alley and Duff speaker lights and acrylics.

#5770 6 years ago

Finally in the house! Yeah Baby! When I turned it straight up, a bag with all the replaced bulbs was open and scattered them all over the inside. Scared the crap out of me! But all is fine. Everything works and it's a fun game!

#5771 6 years ago

Phew! That must have been a horrific few moments for you.

#5772 6 years ago

Yes! It sounded like something shattered and was all over the inside of the machine.... All good, baby!

Bally Doggies would have been well worth the ride, a very tough game to play with a lot of strategy with all of those crazy gate configurations . Any idea if the owner was willing to ship ?

That is a great zipper flipper Bally . If I see one it will be mine if it is priced within reason. Fireball was a good get if you like that title.

These two beauties made it in my gameroom today. I've owned both titles before and am glad to have them back. Two extremely heavy games to move in one day!

Brought home a Sure Shot a couple of days ago. Before moving it into the basement I decided to leave it in the garage as we had a block party planned for the weekend and decided I would put the game out for everyone to enjoy. I also provided the entertainment(DJing & games), the community water slide, the outdoor movie, and the fireworks show. Kids loved the pinball machine!

Does this count?
Not quite a pinball, but damn fun coin op.
Chicago Coin's Criss Cross Pop-Up.
Dec 1964, 10 cent game, shiny coin door.
Having a hard time finding numbers on it.

I was hooked when i saw it. Played it and it was to cool. You have to get tic toe toe scoring, 4 corners, diamond. Each row is a different value. Designed like a pitch and bat, with different concept. When loading it up first thing you cant miss, head is 80 plus pounds, body super light, under the weight of giant head.

#5782 6 years ago

Awesome find Ericpinballfan , looks really interesting and a lot of fun. Sometimes captains yields some treasure, wish I could get down there more often.

#5783 6 years ago

Is there a YouTube video of it? If not, you've got some work to do.

A Bally Star Jet has been added to the Home Bally Collection, what a fun game. You have to love the 3 ball multi ball . this one is a bit Sweaty and is going to stay that way . works 100% now thanks to a group effort at the club. This one is a keeper !

You might want to wipe the inside of that cabinet out. I just drooled all over it.

#5792 6 years ago

Oh for crying out loud. That's not even fair.

#5793 6 years ago

Damn...im afraid to ask how much?
Nice piece of jewelry.
Use a place matt when you eat off bottom of cabinet.
Congrats!

Hahahah. Of course they aren't cheap but chris is a hell of a guy and it's a great experience from start to finish.

#5796 6 years ago

Man, it makes me think he polishes the inside walls of the cabinets...

#5797 6 years ago

Wow! Just beautiful.....and so very shiny! Better get some white gloves to keep it clean while you play.

Quoted from uncivil_engineer:

Chris clear coats the cabinet. He uses the same process and materials that you use to paint a car. it's pretty incredible. I should have posted a picture of the backside of the game....will do when I get home. It's crazy.

A bit rough but solid projects... cabinets on both are solid, monte carlo's backglass is just about perfect 8 ball has some cracking started. Neither working, playfields have planking, wear and fade and some flaking. Both backglasses now in temprature controlled environment.

IMG_5792 (resized).JPGIMG_5792 (resized).JPG

Oh and I love it when a game still has its envelope of treasure... first time I've come across a registration postcard.

The 1972 Fireball I picked up on Saturday has some interesting history according to the backbox door. I forgot to ask the seller but I believe he said he bought it from Texas. The giveaways are the Cowboy sticker, 92.5 KZPS FM (Dallas) and Joe's info from Whicita Falls. I tried goggling Tramp's but had no luck finding where it is or (most likely) was. The old Bud Man sticker brings back memories. Ski Beech is North Carolina.
