Quoted from RonSS:Is quoting yourself "a thing" on this board?
I was doing a small edit, but clicked the wrong button. It was quickly deleted.
Quoted from lpeters82:but I couldn't pass up on it.
Yeah, for that price, you can't lose..
I've seen many 9.6, 9.8, original Gold Strike backglasses, but only one
that was perfect. Can't tell for sure, but if original, your looks pretty close
to it..
The G.S. I presently have set up is pretty nice, but the one I acquired last
year is a little better which is the one with the perfect glass, so I do have
an extra G.S. that I guess is up for trades which I prefer doing opposed to selling..
Quoted from lpeters82:Just picked up my first EM...Gold Strike
You picked a great one! I have the replay version..El Dorado. Love this game. As far as getting it working, clean the score reels and adjust them first.
Have fun. Great pick up
I've only been on this site for a few months, but this is by far my favorite thread! Everyone is excited to share their new pick ups! I really enjoy seeing machines that i've never seen before! And no bitching/arguing/down voting! lol

Backglass has some flaking on the horse and cowboy. Quite a bit of rust on all of the metal parts: coin door, legs, etc. Also the paint on the cabinet is a little beat up. I'm perfectly fine with all of those things. I just need to get it running. Any major "make sure you don't do this..." that I should know before I start tinkering with an EM.

This is exactly why i like this thread so much. It's everyone enjoying and respecting people acquiring new pins, asking questions and learning a little about machines they wouldn't have normally looked at.
Such a great way to celebrate more pins being enjoyed!

By all means, "Do Not" use any type of aerosol contact cleaner.
The contacts need to be lightly filed and before checking the adjustment,
tighten the stack blade screws..
I once bought a Gottlieb World Series, brought in home, opened it, and
white powder on the bottom board looking to be from a fire extinguisher.
Many burned wires. You can guess from what. Didn't have much into it,
but was still nice that I had a spare bottom board..
Also, I went totally through my 2nd Bally Bow and Arrow, put it in a local
Pub, and it constantly needed maintenance. Contacts consistently needed
cleaning. After many months, it finally cleared up. I'm thinking the switches
were coated with a film from some type of contact cleaner..
BTW, your G.S. looked good in the pics..
Quoted from yzfguy:Mmmmmmmagic!
What did you do with the No Fear I wanted?
I was going to trade you my TAF straight up.
That's it! No more coming over to your house and drinking all your beer!!
Good luck with the new game.

LOL! You switched from maverick to Addams?! I actually was honestly sad to part with NF, but this game is gorgeous.
Quoted from StrangeSubset1:Any guesses?
Plenty of guesses, like the complete ipdb
No way somebody can identify a pin from this picture
Quoted from corvair61:Picked these up from Trent!
What is the third one? I'm guessing Star Wars?
Quoted from StrangeSubset1:Any guesses?

Quoted from Lemank:Trent is the man!
Trent is a great guy. And the third game is TWD pro.
Quoted from gregh:Brought home one of my grail pins this week. I know it isn't the deepest or most fun game on the planet, but I have desperately wanted one since getting into pinball!
Nothing wrong with enjoying want you've always wanted. Congrats!

Hey guys, my Star Trek came with a damaged playfield glass rear channel. That plastic lip thing that the glass slides into. Do you guys know how to replace it? Any instructions? Thanks!

Post a separate thread and I'm sure like 10 people will have an answer for you. But I can't sat that I've ever had that issue. GL

Easy. If you slide the glass out, there should only be like 3 or 4 screws in the side proximal to the playfield holding the channel in there. You can order a new one from Marco. I would contact Stern though or you distro and let them know. Stern should send you a new one for free.

Well my wife found the NIB in the garage, and said "another one!". I said yes, Im planning on selling it. Then she was ok. Then she saw the Star Trek LE in the basement. And she thought it was from the box, so she thinks I only bought one pinball machine.. so far so good
