Quoted from porkcarrot:

Nothing too amazing, but this week I brought home my first two EM machines. Gottlieb Mustang and Super Soccer.

Congratulations!

Even though I'm of a "certain age" who grew up playing video games in arcades (and very few pinball games) I find restoring and playing 65-77 EM's to be a very enjoyable experience.

Not as crazy as getting an actual full pin, but picked up a fun wall art project and parts donor just a few minutes from home.

Congrats! Build quality on par with Hobbit and WOZ?
(I love my Hobbit)

I have only played WOZ and Hobbit on location a few times. But, I will say I am very impressed with DI! Every thing seems fine so far. I've only adjusted the theater magnet to stop the SDTM drains. Other than that it's been problem free out of the box! I have about 50 games on it so far.

That victory pf looks pretty decent. Most have trashed upper pf and wear everywhere. You might want to offer that up as a replacement for someone.

It might go that way. Just depends on how it cleans up.

Picked up a beautiful IM VE this morning in St. Louis, then went and played a few hours at CP Pinball with my brother. Had a great day!

Sa-weet! Except for the batteries of course.

Thankfully the larger holder prevented any further run.... Very lucky.

I can verify that an Al's Garage Band goes on a World Tour will NOT fit in a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, , ,

Well, without a little deconstruction anyway

Needs new rubber, and I had to cut a wire to make it work, beyond that, I think it looks pretty good!

Thanks to an awesome Pinsider who volunteered his time to road trip with me, I picked up this nice, original Flash Gordon from a tattoo shop. This is my first real dip into "older games," and I'm scared it will turn into a new obsession.

Older games he says, chortle!

Enjoy! I'm looking for a few "newer" games myself in the late 70's to early 90's range.

Congrats.. You just picked up one of the greatest games ever. And that pf is one of the best original ones I've ever seen.

Picking up (the rest of) a Future Spa on Thursday.....have the head at home. It was my collateral for paying for it and coming back for the rest after the wife gets back from Atlanta..

You have 1 of the best games for the home environment. It's brutally hard and never gets old to me. One I owned is on location in town and it is set on quarter play. It earns great.

It took two weeks of negotiations and 41 direct messages to work out a deal and organize transportation. But it's home!

This represents a lot of exciting firsts for me:

- First Trudeau-designed game I've owned
- My first game from the 80's
- My first alpha-neumeric game
- My first game not released by a major company (though technically, it is a Gottlieb/Premier)
- With only 450 produced, it's the rarest game I've ever owned.

You guys, all the cool kids own cocktail pins. It's the next big trend on Pinside. And Night Moves is the Big Bang Bar of cocktails.

And it's here. Damn the game is addicting. The one more game feeling had me playing until 1:30am this morning. What an amazing game. Only had to adjust the snake and scoop switch. It made friends quickly.

I just picked up my Star Wars Pro

Unfortunately I was told it didn't ship with code and that Stern was mailing me the SD card, so I won't be able to play it until that shows up

Complete guess, but they probably have their own SD cards that they drop in (with test firmware, etc.), then just pack SIM cards from inventory.

Holy shit...$50? Kudos to you for being reasonable and offering him more. Great friggin find for cheap...I've been wanting a CF for some time...even more so ever since I picked up a home version CF for the hell of it a few months ago that was rotting away in some guy's barn.

How the hell is it acceptable for someone to buy a brand new pinball that they then have to sit in the corner because it doesnt play!
That's pretty piss poor on Sterns behalf.

If they didn't ship them out right away, they'd get complaints about delays ("I paid $XXXX so where's my game!?!") and they'd have to deal with spiraling rumors about production problems, design issues, quality control, etc.

A 7'fer. Bought by a couple when they lived in Germany 20 years ago. Packed up when they moved to the states in 1999 and have been that way since. I'm afraid of corrosion. I have to wire them for 110VAC before I can do anything.
