Quoted from Spyderturbo007:Cointaker delivered my TWD yesterday. I called at noon to see if they had it in stock and they delivered it to my driveway by 5:30pm. Awesome service.
Wow that's fast!
I wish we didn't have to wait 3 months here for a pin!
Quoted from Zarklin:It'll be about 5 hours till I have her home. She's a player needs some plastics, cab decals and a few bulbs. but the PF is perfect everything works and the price was right. That's one more keeper off the list. Yay! And yes the code has been updated.
New code is amazing. Really makes the game.
loooooove big guns lol. the music is great. love the way you found a spot for it between the shelving. with that tall back hahaha
Quoted from hoby1:BDK that was on rt. Will be up for sale here after shop out at a very reasonable price.

vn, now update your collection!
Quoted from dirkdiggler:My 3rd ever EM, 1st Bally and 1st pin bought at a auction.
Supposedly works. Play field is a little rough but should clean up nice. Backglass looks perfect.
Mariner is Cool - I'm a fan of the Pointy People - Pointy Fish on that one too !

Definitely...gotta love some Marche artwork.

Heading into enemy territory with a System 80A!

Documented home owned since 1995, came with receipt from operator it was purchased from.
I actually like the sound effects and music on this one, have to see how it plays after cleaning. Back glass is MINT!

Thing looks great, and awesome that it still has original mylar on the main center of the playfield.
Sonic Super Straight:
This machine was obviously stored on a covered patio or an Arizona Room, a covered patio with screens, and has gotten wet. This is fine most of the year but during the monsoon season we get thunderstorms with high winds that blow rain onto these patios and poor unsuspecting but victimized pinball machines. Worse, Sonic used particle board for their cabinets and backboxes. The cabinet on this one is literally falling apart. If anyone knows of a solid cabinet and backbox in Arizona for cheap, please PM me.

Love the Project Pins!

Starting to take a shine to it.
Tonight replaced a bunch of bulbs, fixed a bad coil connection, replaced a bad spring, repaired a bad post, replaced the flipper shoes and elastics, cleaned up one of the display connectors (displayed trash every once in awhile), cleaned and adjusted some roll over contacts, repaired the back glass puck (it did not like to return to the bottom) and then rattled of a dozen or two games.
I kind of like it; The electronic sounds are appropriate for a hockey game (crowd noise, whistles, organ music, buzzer) and some of the shots difficult but you make them just often enough to keep it interesting. The high score that is saved on is in the 3,000,000 range, the best I have been able to do at this point is 700,000 but I'm learning the table.

Where can you find cab decals for this guy? Nice pickup!

Definitely an interesting table, and sounds are surely fitting. The upper left trail / somewhat of a 1/4 orbit shot looks tough to hit. Thanks for sharing the video...as a hockey fan and player myself, I want one now. LOL.

Tonsil hockey?
Two more including Nic's favorite.
There are several firsts with the four pins I picked up here in Tucson from a great seller. Super Straight, posted above, is my first Sonic. Vulcan, with any luck, will be my first working Gottlieb EM at Pecos' Palatial Pinball Parlour. It is stuck on 'Tilt' but that should be an easy fix. I am a Williams pinballer but, hopefully, soon to also be proficient fixing these old Gottlieb Project Pins.
This is also the first time that I have seen black rubber rings on an EM pinball machine before. They don't look as horrible as I would have imagined but they will have to go.
Quoted from joelreeves:Picked up this fairly nice Demolition Man on a roadtrip out to Colorado for my niece's high school graduation.
Pretty good trip.
Nice pick up. Good fun game!
Quoted from Colsond3:Game looks nice and very clean. Good grab.
Thanks, the cabinet is actually in really good shape, but the playfield has some ball swirl. The pop bumper area is the worst. Why didn't Williams protect that area better? Most Taxi's I've seen have wear around the pop bumpers.
You'll also notice the previous owner has the wrong slingshot plastics and the wrong "carry passengers" plastic. Anyone know where these makeshift plastics are from?

Overall a good players machine though.
Yeah, I had a Marilyn Taxi before, and there were ball swirls and a little planking unfortunately. A lot of Taxis had those issues, PF's just didn't hold up well, or they got the hell played out of them back in the day.
And I've seen a lot of sling plastics, but I don't know what the hell they're from, at least not off the top of my head.
