Ponderosa, cafeteria style, walk in Steak place. Opened in Canada in 1971 lasted until 1984. Most locations were bought by another company and converted them to Red Lobster.
In British Columbia there were Bino's Family Restaurants, 1 in almost every city, like a Dennys but nicer.
In Vancouver, Fogg & Suds, they might still have 2 locations, they used to have many restaurants.

    Quoted from Bigbossfan:

    Olive Garden.......none left in Canada.

Hate to correct you, but. There are 6 Olive Gardens still in Canada. 2 in Edmonton, 1 in Calgary, 1 in Langley, & 2 in Winnipeg.

Winterpeg is a hell of a long drive from Georgian Bay, it might make for a nice trip!.

Not a specific restaurant. Many years ago many Department Stores had a lunch counter or restaurant. In Canada The Hudsons Bay Stores had really good food. Eatons and S.S. Kresges also had counters.

    Quoted from o-din:

I remember when KFC had real chicken.

Friend worked at a KFC, until one of the Pressure Boilers blew up. Luckily no one was injured. The store was closed for a week or so after that. A support post next to the boiler ended up cracked.

    Quoted from Hawk007:

Mr Mikes steak house. Makes my mouth water just thinking about them.

There are 25 Mr. Mikes in Western Canada. The closest 1 to you would be in Langley, maybe Coquitlam?
