Why not add one more quality, real-life thread to the current Pinside offerings.

Some like it hot. . . I do not.

I know people are very adaptable and live in all types of climates -- I am just not built for the heat and humidity. I do not know how you guys in the Southern States by the Gulf do it. I can handle the dry heat of the Southwest a but better, but ideally I prefer the 60-70 degree (F) range.

What level of heat do you prefer (temperature, not hot wings!). Poll Included!

My house us 72 degrees (F) year round. Connecticut goes [generally] from the teens to 90s with outliers below zero and over 100.

92% efficient gas furnace and central air. Animals are happy, people are happy.

Most happy in the Colorado Rockies. Temperature in the 20’s, low humidity and full sun! Don’t really even need to wear a jacket in those conditions.

Oops, thought this was outdoor temp. The best you can hope in Florida is about 55% indoor humidity this time of year. Temp doesn’t really matter, it’s the lack of humidity that keeps you comfy.

Its Hot as hell for 3 months in Florida. Its much harder when one gets older, or the meds pile up.
How do we do it? AC, Stay inside, Jump in the Pool.
8 months are great!

Im the opposite, Although I grew up in the North, I cant take the 3-4 months of cold, or
the grey rainy days.

What keeps me here, like many lucky to be downrange from mountains, is beautiful
Clean air from either ocean every day.

Lets not talk about Humidity though!
