MM castle- knocking down the door and gate to break into the castle is always fun

    #4 5 years ago

Although it is static, I Godzillas' head in the game.

    #7 5 years ago

    Mist Multiball on BSD.

    #9 5 years ago

Acdc bell but so many good ones I also like the jump rope on champion pub!

    #10 5 years ago

I guess I'm old school. . . I like spinners. Nothing quite as satisfying as a good rip on a spinner.

    #11 5 years ago

    Family Guy/Shrek mini pinball machine.

    #12 5 years ago

The snagger coming down to lock your ball on JP lost world is pretty cool.

    LAH crane

    #14 5 years ago

    Pinbot's visor.

Honorable mention: Nip Its' zipper flippers. Well integrated into the pin.

    #15 5 years ago

Lots of cool toys more recent than these, but I still like MM Castle and CV Ringmaster

I mean common, its a fully functional gumball machine in a pinball machine, that’s just crazy cool.

    And the lock too.

I also love the BBB lock.

    Agreed!

Can’t forget the TZ clock either. A fully functioning clock that is integrated into modes.

Depending on minute/hour hands position when you hit the clock target/scoop during certain timed modes it correlates to the amount of points awarded... Ingenious!

Flippers! They are absolutely fantastic to play with on most games!
(hey not all pinball has these toys on them to play with)!

    #20 5 years ago

    Rudy.

    #21 5 years ago

Do toys have to be non-interactive? For example, would Shadow- mini Arkanoid playfield count?

    #22 5 years ago

Where are the pinside ladies on this discussion of toys?!

    #23 5 years ago

    Getaways supercharger

    #24 5 years ago

    BSD mist multiball
    TZ mini-playfield flipping-magnets
    MM Castle

Honorable mention: ST:TNG borg ship firing at you during borg multiball

    #25 5 years ago

    CFTBL: Pocket Rocket

    BSD: Silver Bullet

    BBBB: The Rabbit

    #26 5 years ago

To me , the best single toy bar none is the time expander on Dr Who.

Game play is good but not great but to me it’s the greatest toy ever

    #27 5 years ago

    Moving Buck BBH.

...yes I’m serious. Shot gun blasts to the buck is fun and the multiball even more so.

One more vote for Mist Multiball in BSD. It's a mechanical marvel, well-integrated and choreographed into the game. When you look at something like that and compare it to some of the toys in recent Stern games... well, the word "cheap" comes to mind. I considered the spinning house in WOZ. Great toy, but in my opinion the mechanical design of the witch's legs isn't great (works perfect sometimes, but not always), so Mist Multiball wins.

Another one I never grow tired of watching is the Magic Wand on Pinball Magic. As well as just being fun to see, it also swings different directions and you interact with it by timing the ball drop.

The game also has the levitating ball: fun to see, especially the first time and before you know its secret.

Two cool toys in one game...

    #30 5 years ago

    Houdini Trunk.
    Black Rose cannon.
    Indiana Jones Path of Adventure.
    Gilligan's Island , "Island mech"
    Ball save cages on Totan.

    #31 5 years ago

ACDC Premium’s bell. The movement tied in with the sound is spot on.

    #32 5 years ago

    The beer mug in Octoberfest.

    LTG : )

    #33 5 years ago

I have equal love for the castle in MM, Frankenstein in MB and the saucer in AFM.

    #34 5 years ago

I am really surprised no mention of the best toy of all time- Batman Dark Knight and Batman 66 Crane. I think the Crane is by far the best toy and it is interactive. Love me some Crane!

LAH Crane is totally equally cool.

    #36 5 years ago

    I love Aerosmith’s ball lock.

    #37 5 years ago

Thing is pretty cool, and the changing face on Bride of Pinbot.
The Gloop pipe on JJs CATCF.

    #38 5 years ago

    potc ship
    jp t-rex
sttng borg ship locked ball shooting at flippers
and i am a fan of kick backs like ie, jp raptor or bbh ram
    Batman crane

    #39 5 years ago

The tie fighter on Stern Star Wars Pro. That thing really gets me in a lather.

Has Charlie and the Chocolate Factory been revealed?

    #41 5 years ago

    MET hammer. Really.

    #42 5 years ago

The helicopter on Rescue 911. An otherwise pretty forgettable game imo.

    Quoted from jonesjb:

Has Charlie and the Chocolate Factory been revealed?

Not that I know of. Just wishful thinking on my part.

    #44 5 years ago

I've got to give a nod to the Ecto-Goggles in GB.

    #45 5 years ago

TBL White Russian - It honestly looks drinkable at first glance.

    #46 5 years ago

Frankenstein mech on monster bash. The presentation leading up to the actual multiball start is about as good as it gets. In a dark room, I still get chills like the first time I saw it happen at our shop after unboxing. ITS ALIVE!!!

    #47 5 years ago

    "Zipper Flippers" by Ted Zale

The are many more higher quality titles than Fireball (Bally, 1972).

    #48 5 years ago

Doctor Who Time Expander and Medieval Madness Castle.

    #49 5 years ago

There are tons of good answers. My top favorites are Red/Ted/Rudy, everything in the TZ, and the time expander.

But my favorite is easily Jacky's toybox from Aerosmith. Not only how the ball locks, but the show of it emptying out the balls as well. Its fucking amazing.

    #50 5 years ago
