I've gotten back into playing The Shadow and I can't see how the Battlefield and the diverter ramps aren't mentioned. Shadow could be the best total package of flow and interactive toys that the player can fully control.

I mentioned earlier Must be why it says "Finally, you've learned to control the pinball".
I did raise the question whether something that the player controls is considered a toy or if it has to be just part of the machine (most mentioned seem the latter).

Toys are meant to be played with, right? So the battlefield and diverters in Shadow qualify in my mind as toys.
Bash toys like Sparky interact with the ball but not the player and are less fun in my opinion.
Quoted from FlippyD:TBL White Russian - It honestly looks drinkable at first glance.
Looks good, no doubt, but can that be considered a toy? I think a toy needs to at least move, if not interact with the ball.
I'd put that one in the adornment / accoutrement category.
TOM trunk for me. It may not be the most mechanically advanced (like POTC ship) or the most sound (easy to chip and the optos can fail) but from a concept perspective it's great!
It has multiple states, each affect the ball differently. It can be used as a standard bash toy OR can capture the ball in 2 different ways. It fits the theme perfectly (a magician's trick trunk of secrets!) and doesn't take up all that much space on the PF, all things considered.
Quoted from trilogybeer:Pics please!?
I could only show the mug. I had to block out the actual game.

That picture made my mouth water.
